Narrative Report
on School Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session: Upskilling Ratees Using
Classroom Observation Tools
The primary objectives of the session were to introduce and provide in-depth
understanding to teachers with the effective utilization of the Classroom Observation
Tool (COT) across the four (4) quarters of the school year; to provide practical
insights into utilizing this tool for upskilling and improving teaching methodologies;
and to foster a collaborative environment for teachers to share experiences and best
practices inside the classroom. The SLAC facilitator provided insights into delivering
constructive feedback to learners based on observations. Techniques for fostering a
positive and growth-oriented feedback culture were discussed, ensuring that the
feedback process contributes to continuous improvement rather than being
perceived as evaluative.
The session concluded with an open forum where teachers had the
opportunity to ask questions, seek clarifications, and share additional insights.
Indeed, the LAC session on Upskilling Ratees Using Classroom Observation Tools
proved to be a valuable platform for professional development. The engaging and
collaborative discussions and the practical insights from teachers will undoubtedly
empower them to enhance their teaching practices. With the session, the school
community is better equipped to create a culture of continuous improvement,
professional growth, and excellence in education for the betterment of the learners.
