III. ELV risers within the Car park at each level for each riser.
IV. ELV riser within retail at each floor riser within BOH areas.
V. Ensure that the backbone connections provide fiber patch panels for multicore
connections to remote panels and to local equipment panels.
VI. Provide Cat 6A RJ45 patch panels for backup connections to remote panels, and
for local connections within the equipment room.
VII. Ensure that the backbone structured network shall serve the following
equipment as listed:

 Information points in the circulation of public areas.

 Internet access terminal.
 Telephone and Data outlets within the Fire Control Center.
 Wireless LAN, DECT & GPS distribution points.
 Access control system.
 CCTV Systems
 Interface to building systems, including but not limited to; GRMS; Lighting
Control; Emergency Lighting Systems, etc.

All cables will be pulled in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, the
approved shop drawings, and project specifications.
Installation will be in accordance with SBC-401 building wiring requirements of the
structured cabling system and as per project specifications.
All outlets will be installed in the approved manner and to the mounting height and
positions as mentioned in the approved shop drawings and related documents.
All cabling will be installed in the appropriate containment taking into account the
spacing factor of space capacity required as per project specification.

UTP Cables will be pulled from each ACN/LAN & IT outlet inside the rooms to the IT
patch panel as per project specification and approved shop drawings. \
The approved IDF and IT cabinet racks will be installed in the data rooms as per the
approved shop drawing.
Fiber Optic and CAT 6A cables from IT racks, patch panels, and outlets shall be laid as
per approved shop drawings and related standards and specifications.
UTP cables will be terminated using class B (ANSI/TIA/EIA-568B) the termination will
be using the punching tools to join the 8 cores.
Pulling the unshielded twisted pair category 6A will be in cable Trunking, EMT
Conduits and GI boxes, the copper cable will be well addressed and tied to the
horizontal and vertical Trunking.

According to the Recommendations, the UTP cables will be terminated using class B
(ANSI/TIA/EIA-568B), the termination would be using the punching tools to join the 8
cores (4 Pairs-color & Strip) to the RJ 45 Module female as following arrangement.

PIN1: WHITE/ORANGE CORE

PIN2: ORANGE CORE
PIN3: WHITE/GREEN CORE
PIN4: BLUE CORE
PIN5: WHITE/BLUE CORE
PIN6: GREEN CORE
PIN7: WHITE/BROWN CORE
PIN8: BROWN CORE

The termination standard will be applied in both parts, the user side and covered by the
face plates and data frame side and ACN, SECNET in the patch panels.
All cabling will originate from rack mounted RJ45 patch panels and terminate upon
single/dual faceplates at the required user locations. The IT Cabinets in the Data Room
will contain a Patch Panel, Patch cords, and cable manager along with the patch panels to
organize the cords patched to Network Active components.
To ensure the transmission performance requirements of a category 6A system are
maintained, the amount of untwisting in a cable pair shall be no greater than ISO
specification. In addition, the stripping back of the outer sheath shall also be limited to
the minimum amount required to achieve a successful termination.
Each category of cable must consist of four twisted pairs with stranded conductors sized
23 AWG with thermoplastic insulation and an overall thermoplastic jacket with a
diameter less than or equal to 9.0mm. This section also states that the cables must meet
the mechanical performance requirements, testing, and test methods defined below:

 Category 6A — ANSI/CEA S–102–732–2009

All tools and equipment shall be approved type and as per the recommendation of the
manufacturer.
All installations will be inspected and certified by the specialist supplier and necessary
certifications and test reports will be forwarded to the consultant for their review and
approval. (a separated method statement will be submitted for testing & commissioning)
An inspection will be offered to the consultant for their approval.
