Topic: Download, install and configure oracle database on
computer system.

• To Download Oracle Database XE:

Open this link in browser in order to download oracle for windows OS.
• https://www.oracle.com/in/database/technologies/oracle-database-software-
downloads.html

• To install Oracle Database XE:

1) Log on to Windows with Administrator privileges.


2) Extract the downloaded zip file to a temporary location.
3) Locate setup.exe and double click it. The installation of the
prerequisites will take place, if applicable, to the environment.

5. In the License Agreement window, select I accept the terms in the


license agreement and then click Next.

6. In the Destination Folder window, either accept the default location


or click Change to select a different installation directory , Then click
Next.

7. In the Oracle Database Information window, enter and confirm the


single database password to use for the SYSTEM, and PDBADMIN
database accounts. Then click Next.

8) In the Summary window, click Install. Otherwise, click Back and


modify the settings as necessary.
9) When the installation is complete, the Oracle Database Installed
Successfully window is displayed.

• To install Oracle Database XE:

To configure Oracle database on Windows: Log in to SQL*Plus application


At the command prompt, type sqlplus and then press the key Enter. At
the user name prompt, type your user name and then press the key
Enter.
