Chapter I. Introduction

1.1 Introduction to RayScan Handheld Laser 3D Scanner

RayScan handheld laser 3D scanner is handheld design, using multiple laser line

grid projected on the surface of the object, through the high-speed, high-

resolution industrial camera for data acquisition, through the 3D scanning software

to calculate the object's three-dimensional point cloud, to obtain the object's three-

dimensional data. Scanning is free and flexible, the whole process is completed

handheld, without the need for a tripod or other support devices. Adopt motion

prediction anti-shaking algorithm to avoid the influence of human jitter on

scanning accuracy during scanning process. Automatic switching of 3D scanning

viewpoint, convenient for users to observe the real-time scanning situation. The

system structure is designed to be lightweight, stable and ergonomically designed,

with a beautiful and generous appearance, and the overall equipment is easy to

carry.

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 2
The product mainly has the following advantages:

1) Scanning is fast;

2) Non-contact measurement;

3) Ultra-fast marker point recognition technology, real-time intelligent tracking

of frame points;

4) Equipped with a global error control module, which can globally control the

accumulated error of multiple scans;

5) Integrated global frame scanning technology significantly improves

scanning efficiency and flexibility;

6) Quickly switch optical parameters according to the scanning object,

adaptive to a variety of materials/color surfaces of the scanning object,

without the need for cumbersome adjustments, built-in a variety of typical

materials corresponding to the optical parameters, including light colors,

reflective, deep black and other materials;

7) Support 6 degrees of freedom calibration type fast calibration, a single

calibration time of less than a minute, the use of visualization interface to

Chapter V. Maintenance

Here are some of the daily maintenance and maintenance of the equipment,

please be sure to follow these specifications in order to better maintain the

performance of the equipment to use, while extending the service life of the

equipment.

 When using the computer, please do not connect to the Internet, so as not to

affect the normal operation of the software because of computer poisoning, if

you must access the Internet, please update the virus database of the antivirus

software in a timely manner, and real-time security defense detection of the

computer;

 The use of industrial cameras should be strictly adhered to the contents of their

accompanying manuals, and it is recommended that users do not engage in any

activities unrelated to three-dimensional measurement with the camera;

 When the scanner is not in use, put it away and store it in a dry place;

 When the calibration block is not in use, it should be held gently to avoid

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 2
bumping and cutting.

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 2
Chapter 6 Troubleshooting

1、 Problem: Opening the program prompts that the dongle cannot be found.

Solution: 1. Check whether the dongle is inserted in the correct USB interface

position and whether it is loose; 2. Contact the manufacturer to check whether the

dongle has been damaged.

2、 Problem: Scanned data cannot be spliced

Solution: The splicing accuracy exceeds the error allowable value (if the accuracy

requirement is not high, the allowable error of the splicing marking points can be

changed in the system setting), and there are fewer than 4 markings on a single

side or fewer than 4 markings on a common part. Post more logo points, and make

the rotation angle smaller when scanning.

3、 Problem: Data not captured after shooting

Solution: 1. The surface of the photographed object is light-absorbing, reflective or

light-transmissive material. In this case, it is necessary to spray developer on the

surface of the object. 2. The gain is too small or the luminosity of the camera is too

PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 2
small when calibrating. The gain should be increased or the brightness should be

raised when re-calibrating.

4、 Problem: Failure during calibration

Solution: The appearance of laser line identification marking the number of points

is not enough, it may be the calibration board or equipment lens with dust, this

time you need to use clean paper to gently wipe.

5、 Scanning does not produce data

Solution: 1. Change the brightness of the laser; 2. Change the brightness of the fill-

in lamp; 3. Check whether the scanner or calibration plate has a clean surface

without impurities.
