I. "We Are Not Afraid to Die" offers a compelling portrayal of the human capacity for
courage, resilience and perseverance in the face of extreme adversity, making it a
timeless and inspiring tale of survival against all odds.
Make a DOCUMENTARY of about 5-7 minutes, depicting the theme(s) given below, using catchy
visuals and personal voice over/ AI supported voice modes. (Explore technological tools available
online for graphic designing, animation, video editing, audio editing etc.)
a. Optimism, Courage, Unwavering Perseverance and Resilience
(The story vividly illustrates the crew's optimism, courage and resilience as they face a life-
threatening ordeal at sea. Despite encountering numerous challenges, including a fierce
storm and a sinking ship, the crew members remain determined to survive and overcome
the odds with their sustained efforts.)
b. Unity and Teamwork
(The crew's ability to work together as a team is crucial to their survival. Despite facing
imminent danger, the crew members collaborate effectively, supporting one another and
pooling their resources to confront the challenges they encounter.)
c. Man vs. Nature
(The story explores the age-old theme of man vs. nature, depicting the crew's struggle
against the powerful forces of the sea. The relentless fury of the storm serves as a
formidable adversary, testing the limits of human endurance and resilience.)

II. The discovery of King Tut's tomb reignited interest in ancient Egyptian history and culture
worldwide. The theme of the prose ‘Discovering Tut: the Saga Continues…….’ underscores the
importance of preserving and understanding cultural heritage, as artifacts from King Tut's tomb
provide valuable insights into ancient Egyptian society, beliefs, and practices.
Conduct online research on any one Indian heritage (monument/ place/ artefact/
cuisine/ performing art) that is a mark of Indian culture, history, tradition, belief(s) and
social practices, and needs to be preserved as a legacy of our past. Prepare a POWER
POINT PRESENTATION on the same. It should have 15-20 slides encompassing all the
aforementioned aspects.

III. Capturing the Essence in a Photograph: A Visual and Literary Exploration
Photographs can capture moments that reflect individual identity, self-expression, and personal
narratives.
Photographs can serve as powerful tools for documenting and raising awareness by highlighting
social injustices, disparities, and struggles faced by marginalized communities.
Photographs of landscapes, wildlife, and natural phenomena evoke themes related to the beauty,
fragility, and interconnectedness of the nature and man.
Choose/ click a photograph on any ONE of the aspects stated above and compose a
poem of about 10-15 lines. Give a suitable title to it. The photograph along with original
composition must be pasted/ written in the English Register.
Remember, PLAGIARISM shall be strictly viewed and the composition will NOT be
considered for internal assessment.
IV. Classified advertisements provide a convenient and cost-effective way for individuals and
businesses to reach a targeted audience and fulfil their specific needs, whether it's offering or
seeking employment opportunities, buying or selling goods, finding or offering services,
Collect about 3-5 classified advertisements under different categories from the
newspapers- local/ national, and paste them in the English register. Draw out value
points covered in each advertisement and write them beside the advertisement in bullet
points.
V. The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India is organizing a science exhibition
in your school. Create an attractive Poster announcing the event and inviting the general public to
visit it.

An eight-year-old child’s perspective of the story, the twists and turns in the lives of siblings
Scout and Jem, their upbringing, typical childhood days etc, are all so interesting. The racial
discrimination of the people is intertwined with their lives through a case for Tom Robinson,
a Negro, taken up by their father Atticus Finch, who is a lawyer. This influences their
lives………
4. On Writing by Stephen King is part memoir and part instructional. It guides us
through the essential parts of Stephen King’s life, while also offering tips that he has
learned along the way.
The book offers a wide range of guidance for people who are interested in writing in any
capacity. From overcoming addiction to having his first book published, Stephen King offers
his life wisdom for the writers of tomorrow.
5. David Copperfield by Charles Dickens is the story of a young man's adventures on
his journey from an unhappy and impoverished childhood to the discovery of his
vocation as a successful novelist.
As a young boy, he lives happily with his mother and his nurse, Peggotty. His father died
before he was born. During David’s early childhood, his mother marries the violent Mr.
Murdstone, who brings his strict sister, Miss Murdstone, into the house. The Murdstones
