5 Mns Warm up : T_S Board


• Warm the class up by reviewing the questions from Lesson 1 SS_SS
(What’s your name? Where are you from?How old are you?) with
an activity called Inside Outside circles.
10 Mns Presentation :
• Point out the photo. Use a gesture to indicate the dialog. Textbook
Say Look at the photo. Where are they? What is T_S
happening? Tell the students to listen to the dialog. Audio
• Play the audio.
• Ask students to read the dialog in pairs. They should
change roles.
• Ask students to read the dialog. Replace Riki’s Ss
information with their own information. This is a short
quick practice to get familiar. Students will practice more
with accuracy later in the lesson.
• Point out the letters in the chart. Say, Listen and say. Textbook
Point to each letter.
10 Mns Practice :
Audio
Say, Listen and write the letters you hear. Play the audio
T_S
and give students time to write the letters. Pause the audio
to give students time (if needed). Pair students and have

them compare answers.
D. Practice Speaking :
• Model the activity with a student. Have the student read T_S Textbook
the A lines to you. Respond with your own information. S_S Board
• Pair students. Say: Read the conversations with your
partner. Take turns asking the questions. Write your
partner’s information in the chart.
10 Mns NUMBERS:
• Point out the photo and the dialogue. Ask students to
find the numbers in the dialogue. (12 ,1). Have them T_S
underline or circle the numbers.
• Point out the numbers in the chart. Say, Listen and Textbook
repeat. Point to each letter.

• Point out the chart in the book. Say, Ask two people for Board
their phone number and email address. Write them in the Textbook
chart. Monitor. Encourage all students to participate, using T_S
fake answers if they do not have phone or email.

• Wrap-up: Write the following sentence frames on the

answer each other.
G. Writing: Best Friend Profile
• Model the activity by drawing a picture of a person on the
board. Give the person a name, age, and grade. Then tell Board
the class about the person. For example, say This is Nola. T_S Textbook
She’s 14 years old.She’s in year 2 of middle school. S_S
• Tell students to draw a picture of their friend and write the
information about him/her. Monitor their work and support
as needed.
• Pair students. Pairs tell each other about their friends,
pointing to their drawing as they speak. Monitor their pair
work.
• Close by asking one boy and one girl to show their
drawing and tell the whole class about their friend.
