Assignment - 1 (CSE-101) Software Engineering

CLO-1( PLO-1, C-1) Describe various software engineering processes and activities

General Instructions:

 Your work should be original, not copied from internet or any other resource
 You can discuss with class fellows and research from internet but do not copy paste.
 Assignment should be submitted before due date.
 Use simple Font Calibiri/Times new roman or arial.
 Heading must be bold.

Task : You are required to prepare Software Requirement Specification Document from any of the
following projects or any of your own choice.

You have to identify at least 100 functional and 30 Non-Functional Requirements, and put
requirements in SRS document as per category.

Assignment Instructions

This is a group based assignment

 There will be four Members in each group


 Members will be categorized in Four Types
o Software Engineer / Requirement Engineer
o Software House Manager
o Client Manager
o System End User
 Role of each member will be as his/her category
 Requirement will be gather with discussion each other like
o System End user will describe his/her requirements in informal methods (there will
multi End user roles like, teacher, admin, coordinator in a School system)
o Client manager will be responsible for gathering all System End user requirements
and verify requirements.
o Software House Manager will discuss and gather requirements from client manager
and suggest any changes/modification, addition or deletion of requirements.
o Requirement Engineering will document all requirements in SRS.
o In short there will be team work.
o You need to maintain all above in paper work like End User will write his/her
requirements on paper, Client Manager and Software House Manager will
comment/modify on these if necessary and also write all requirements on another
paper, these all done during meeting of all members.
o Paper work also will be submitted in PDF document with SRS documents.

Note: from above given tasks Software Projects each project can be selected by only group.
