Computer is an electronic device for storing and processing data, typically in


binary form, according to instructions given to it in a variable program.2.

i. A supercomputer refers to a high-performance mainframe computer. It is a
powerful, highly accurate machine known for processing massive sets of
data and complex calculations at rapid speeds
ii. A personal computer, often referred to as a PC, is a computer designed for
individual use.[1] It is typically used for tasks such as word
processing, internet browsing, email, multimedia playback, and gaming.
Personal computers are intended to be operated directly by an end user,
rather than by a computer expert or technician. Unlike large,
costly minicomputers and mainframes, time-sharing by many people at the
same time is not used with personal computers.
iii. Mini computer, computer that was smaller, less expensive, and less
powerful than a mainframe or supercomputer but more expensive and more
powerful than a personal computer. Minicomputers were used for scientific
and engineering computations, business transaction processing, file
handling, and database management

Internet is a global computer network providing a variety of information and
communication facilities, consisting of interconnected networks using
standardized communication protocols.

i. Email is important for communication because it allows users to send information
in letter format, email can replace traditional mail options.
ii. Emails can be more beneficial for communication because they can often include
text, documents and multimedia, like photos and videos
iii. convenient - your message will be stored until the recipient is ready to read it, and
you can easily send the same message to a large number of people
iv. permanent - you can keep a record of messages and replies, including details of
when a message was received
