Job Description:

Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications.


Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair existing or set up new IT hardware. Support the roll-
out of new applications. Train users on the use of IT equipment and software.
Administer user access control to system.
Set up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
Manage IT issues and respond within agreed time limits to call-outs. Assist in solving programming
related issues and software evaluation and development.
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and resolve hardware or software faults.
Manage the replacement of IT equipment parts as required and be
proactive to user's request and escalate issues to IT Manager where necessary.
Open a log book showing users complaints, problems encountered and solution
rendered; showing start time and end time. Send a monthly detail log book report to the IT Manager.
Report to Management main issues on IT and report on task giving daily progress report.
Test and evaluate new technology as applicable to the company.
Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
Monitor internet performance and down time and submit monthly report to the IT
Manager, showing graphical representation of usage.
Monitor printer ink and toner usage by keeping a register for all printer consumable
and submit a quarterly report on consumption rate per printer.

Manage cost and cut down IT consumables (educate users on handling of IT tools and
