Dear Madam/Sir,

I hope you are well. By way of introduction, I am a technology lawyer currently working at
Meta’s (Facebook) offices in London on a Tier 2 (highly-skilled worker) visa. I am a dual-qualfied
attorney (qualified to practice in California, USA and India) educated from the University of
Oxford and the London School of Economics.

My wife and I are Indian citizens and currently visiting India for two months to meet our family
and returning to London on May 26th. We are scheduled to travel to Porto and Lisbon from
London between June 15 - 24, 2024. Given the limited time available after our return to
London, we took the proactive step of securing a visa appointment at the VFS Centre in India.
We did so to ensure that we have adequate time to complete the visa application process before
our scheduled departure to Portugal. We wrote to the Portuguese Embassy, New Delhi last
week to seek permission to consider our visa application in India. We were deeply obliged
and grateful when the embassy agreed to our request and granted us permission to apply
for the visa in India given the exceptional circumstances (I am attaching the email from
your Embassy along with this cover letter).

This trip holds great emotional significance to my wife and I because I lived and worked in
Denmark (EU) between 2020 and 2022 and made some close Portuguese friends (from Porto and
Lisbon) in this period. We now want to visit Portugal together, to meet our friends and explore the
vibrant culture and beautiful landscapes of Portugal, including walking through the historic squares
in Lisbon, visiting the cherished wineries in Porto and reconnect with our friends.

I am applying for a multiple-entry visa, with my first trip planned and booked between June 15,
2024 and June 24, 2024. During my stay in Portugal, I intend to stay in Porto and Lisbon. I
have attached a proof of travel and accommodation in this letter. I am attaching proof of holding
approximately 6100 EUR / 5300 GBP in my salary account in the UK; approximately 3350 EUR
/ INR 3,00,000 in my Indian bank account; and 52,000 EUR / 45,000 GBP in fully liquid
investments (all statements for last 3 months attached).

I trust that you will find everything is in order. I would be grateful if I could be granted a
multiple entry tourist visa for a longer duration (sincerely praying for 4 years or more)
so that I can continue to explore Portugal in the short vacations I get through the year. I have
been a frequent traveler to the Schengen area for the last 25 years, and if granted, this would be my 6th
Schengen visa in the last 7 years. I also hold a 10-year visa to the US valid till 2032 along. We have firm roots
in the UK with our residence permit valid until 2028 and having recently purchased our residential apartment in
London where we reside (address mentioned on UK salary account statements). My wife, Ms. Shreya
Tewari is also a lawyer and we both currently hold permanent employment in London.

I hope you are well. By way of introduction, I am a technology lawyer currently working at
Meta’s (Facebook) offices in London on a Tier 2 (highly-skilled worker) visa. I am a dual-qualfied
attorney (qualified to practice in California, USA and India) educated from the University of
Oxford and the London School of Economics.

My wife and I are Indian citizens and currently visiting India for two months to meet our family
and returning to London on May 26th. We are scheduled to travel to Porto and Lisbon from
London between June 15 - 24, 2024. Given the limited time available after our return to
London, we took the proactive step of securing a visa appointment at the VFS Centre in India.
We did so to ensure that we have adequate time to complete the visa application process before
our scheduled departure to Portugal. We wrote to the Portuguese Embassy, New Delhi last
week to seek permission to consider our visa application in India. We were deeply obliged
and grateful when the embassy agreed to our request and granted us permission to apply
for the visa in India given the exceptional circumstances (I am attaching the email from
your Embassy along with this cover letter).

This trip holds great emotional significance to my wife and I because I lived and worked in
Denmark (EU) between 2020 and 2022 and made some close Portuguese friends (from Porto and
Lisbon) in this period. We now want to visit Portugal together, to meet our friends and explore the
vibrant culture and beautiful landscapes of Portugal, including walking through the historic squares
in Lisbon, visiting the cherished wineries in Porto and reconnect with our friends.

I am applying for a multiple-entry visa, with my first trip planned and booked between June 15,
2024 and June 24, 2024. During my stay in Portugal, I intend to stay in Porto and Lisbon. I
have attached a proof of travel and accommodation in this letter. I am attaching proof of holding
approximately 6100 EUR / 5300 GBP in my salary account in the UK; approximately 3350 EUR
/ INR 3,00,000 in my Indian bank account; and 52,000 EUR / 45,000 GBP in fully liquid
investments (all statements for last 3 months attached).

I trust that you will find everything is in order. I would be grateful if I could be granted a
multiple entry tourist visa for a longer duration (sincerely praying for 4 years or more)
so that I can continue to explore Portugal in the short vacations I get through the year. I have
been a frequent traveler to the Schengen area for the last 25 years, and if granted, this would be my 6th
Schengen visa in the last 7 years. I also hold a 10-year visa to the US valid till 2032 along. We have firm roots
in the UK with our residence permit valid until 2028 and having recently purchased our residential apartment in
London where we reside (address mentioned on UK salary account statements). My wife, Ms. Shreya
Tewari is also a lawyer and we both currently hold permanent employment in London.
