Wonder Week: Day 1

Warm-up: What are the pitfalls you should avoid in doing online researchh?

Pair-Share: Combine your answers and make a list of things to mistakes to avoid in
doing research.

19-22 15-20 Whole Class


Go through the research process. Note that you can use the video as a resource as
well.

23-24 20 min Individual:


Research your answer. Be sure to use multiple valid sources.
Note that this could be a sketch-note, a grid, notecards, or any other format
students use for research.

NOTE:
Days 3-4 should each be a full day for research. You might want to skip the warm-up and let students get to work
the moment they walk in. Just keep slide #23 on for them and let them begin. If you’d rather do an extension, you
can begin with the slide #25 and use the same warm-up on both days.
