Lily knocked on the door of Mr. McMillan. Lily: Excuse me, Mr.
McMillan. (Lily: Permisi, Pak McMillan.)
Mr. McMillan : Yes. Please come in. Can I help you Miss? Lily: Well, I am here to
ask you about my grade, Sir.
Lily: I got a ‘U’ for my Biochemistry course grade, which means that there was an
assignment that I had not submitted yet. May I know sir, which assignment that I was
missing? Though, I believe that I have done all of the assignments and submitted it.
Mr. McMillan: (While checking on the computer) Hmm… from what I see Ms.
Somner, you haven’t taken the midterm exam? Is that true?
Lily: Pardon, Sir. But there must have been some mistake, because I did take the
midterm exam.
Mr. McMillan: Wait a moment. I will check the presence database of the midterm
exam to see whether you have taken the exam or not. Well, I guess you are right Ms.
Somner, you have taken the exam.
Lily: Thank God. But, is there a problem with my answer sheet, Sir?
Mr. McMillan: I wonder. Hopefully not. I’ll check my Excel document first. Maybe I
missed something. Ah! You can rest assured Ms. Somner. I do have your midterm
score. I must have missed it when I input the data. Sorry for that. And you even got an
A, congratulations!
Lily:Thank God. Thank you very much, Sir. I am sorry to bother you.
