Please summarize the learning you got from the first video session of SPIP.
Summary Session 1: Module 1 starts with the definition of interview. An interview is a structured
conversation between two or more people where questions are asked to assess the interviewee's
qualifications, personality, suitability for a role, or to gain information.
Types of Interviews:
General Interview: The most common type, covering a range of topics to assess the
candidate's overall suitability.
Technical Interview: Focuses on specific technical skills or knowledge relevant to the job
role.
HR/Suitability Interview: Emphasizes questions about the candidate's background,
experience, and suitability for the organization or role.
CEO/Director Interview: Conducted by top-level executives to evaluate the candidate's fit for
leadership roles and assess their strategic thinking.
Interviews serve as a crucial step in the hiring process, allowing employers to evaluate candidates
based on various criteria. Understanding the different types of interviews, their purposes, and
modes of conduct can help candidates prepare effectively and navigate the process with
confidence.
Please summarize the learning you got from the second video session of SPIP.
Summary Session 2 : Module 2 deals with the Common Mistakes in the Interview Process
Pre and Post Interview Actions: Your actions before and after the interview matter. Avoid
getting overly friendly with HR or engaging in excessive chatting. Sending aggressive emails
is also unadvisable. Maintain composure and professionalism.
Lack of Serious Preparation: It's essential to study the company and current affairs before
the interview. This demonstrates your interest and preparedness.
Poor Representation: Executives often check candidates' public profiles on platforms like
LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Ensure your online presence is professional and tidy to
avoid negative impressions.
Giving Reasons for Rejection: Pay attention to details such as dressing formally, having a
reliable internet connection, and bringing necessary documents. These seemingly minor
aspects can impact your candidacy.
Unbalanced Behavior: Ensure consistency between what you present in your CV and how
you communicate during the interview. Strive for a balanced approach and demonstrate a
desire for long-term commitment to the company.
By addressing these common mistakes and maintaining professionalism throughout the interview
process, you can enhance your chances of success.
Please summarize the learning you got from the third video session of SPIP.
Steps:
Shortlisting: Candidates are initially shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience,
often from submitted resumes or applications.
Introduction: The interview typically begins with introductions, where both the interviewer and
the candidate briefly present themselves and establish rapport.
Personnel Q&A: This phase involves questions and answers related to the candidate's
personal background, experiences, and interests. It helps the interviewer understand the
candidate beyond their resume.
CV Q&A: The interviewer may ask specific questions about items listed on the candidate's
resume or seek clarification on certain experiences or skills.
Suitability Q&A: Questions in this segment focus on assessing the candidate's suitability for
the job role, including their skills, qualifications, and alignment with the company's values
and culture.
Event of Surprise: Occasionally, unexpected events may occur during the interview, such as
an invitation to lunch or an unplanned phone call. Candidates should handle these situations
calmly and professionally, as they may be designed to test their composure and adaptability.
Offer Letter: If the interview is successful and the candidate is deemed suitable for the
position, they may receive an offer letter outlining the terms and conditions of employment.
Please summarize the learning you got from the fourth video session of SPIP.

Yes, overall, I'm happy with how I've done in school. I've worked hard to do my best and learn as
much as I can. I am proud of the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my academic
journey, and I am confident that my academic achievements have prepared me well for the
opportunities and challenges ahead.
I chose to study for PGDM because I really enjoy learning about business and leadership. I believe
PGDM will help me learn more about how businesses work and how to be a better leader. It also
opens up new opportunities for me in my career, and I'm excited to see where it takes me.
Q. What internships have you done? What was your role in the internship? What are the
skills you have developed in your internships?
I completed a 4-month internship with a retail supermarket in their internal auditing team. My main
role involved conducting store audits, performing GST reconciliation, and checking various
documents related to tax works. During my time there, I learned to pay close attention to details,
analyze financial information, manage my time well, communicate effectively with my team, and
solve problems when they arose. This experience taught me a lot and prepared me for future jobs
in finance and accounting
Q. Are there any specialised training programs or courses you have undertaken? What were
your learnings?
I've taken some online courses on Coursera to learn more about stocks and bonds, financial
accounting, and writing professional emails. From these courses, I've learned about how the stock
market works, how to manage finances better, and how to write clear and professional emails.
I am a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude, committed to giving my all in everything I
do.
My strengths include having a positive mindset, which keeps me motivated, and being hardworking,
always striving to do my best. However, I recognize that I could improve my knowledge of current
affairs. I'm committed to learning more about what's happening around me to become a well-
rounded individual.
Q. How do you handle stressful situations? Explain one of your stressful experiences and
how you coped with it?
I handle stressful situations by taking a systematic approach and staying focused on finding
solutions. One challenging experience I faced was deciding which course to pursue after
completing my BCom degree. I felt confused by the numerous options available and the pressure to
make the right choice for my future career. To cope with this stress, I conducted thorough research
into various courses, carefully examining their content, career prospects, and alignment with my
skills and interests. By mapping my skills to the required skills for different jobs and courses, I was
able to identify the best fit for my career goals. Ultimately, this process helped me make a confident
and informed decision, relieving the stress I initially felt and guiding me towards the right path for
my future.
In five years, I see myself in a leadership position within your company's financial department. I am
committed to continuously developing my skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to the
organization's growth and success.
