Mini report (15- 20 pages)
1.1 Introduction
Explain the company or organization you are working for. Highlight its (10)
products processes markets, market share, competitors and where they are
located on a map. Identify where its suppliers and customers are. Use graphs
pie charts and other graphical representations in Excel.
Classify the organization by sector. Present an organisational chart (10)
graphically and explain the roles of the various departments. Highlight the
responsibilities and reporting structures in your organization.
1.2 Value chain (10)
Illustrate the company’s value chain graphically and identify the internal and
external customer. Explain its main inventory and carry out an ABC analysis
of products and raw materials determining key materials and products.
1.3 Explain your training programme and supervision. Attach your programme
in annexure.
1.4 Technology and equipment (10)
Explain with illustrations the equipment being used at your organization to
deliver the product or service.
Explain the facility layout with a scaled engineering drawing using CAD or (10)
related software showing various departments or selections. You can use
Google sketch or other software.
Material handling
1.5 Explain how material is stored and transported internally, from suppliers and (10)
finished products to customers.
1.6 Planning and scheduling (10)
Explain scheduling of tasks and planning activities
1.6 Tasks and projects done to date
Give a summary to tasks you have done and projects you are working on. (10)
Drawings, Charts to support as evidence, spread sheets must be included.
Identify areas of improvements in your area of work.
1.7 Workshop or shop floor exposure to date. Supervisor evaluations required. (10)
