Dear Parents,
As we approach the much-awaited summer holidays, we, teacher’s wanted
to take a moment to express gratitude for your unwavering support. Your
dedication to your child's education is truly inspiring, and it's been a joy to
work alongside you in nurturing their growth and development.
With the summer break upon us, we encourage you to take this time to
create lasting memories with your child. While vacations and outings are
undoubtedly exciting, we urge you to also prioritize moments of quality
time spent together at home. These simple yet precious moments can have
a profound impact on your child's well-being and overall happiness.
Here are a few suggestions to help you make the most of your summer
holidays:
Unplug and Connect: Set aside designated times each day to unplug from
technology and fully engage with each other. Whether it's playing board
games, going for a nature walk, or simply sitting and chatting, these
moments of undivided attention will strengthen your bond.
Get Creative: Encourage your child's imagination to soar by engaging in
creative activities together. Whether it's painting, crafting, or writing
stories, exploring their creativity alongside you will not only be fun but also
foster their self-expression and confidence.
Explore Together: Take advantage of the warmer weather to explore your
surroundings together. Visit local parks, museums, or libraries, and embark
on adventures that ignite curiosity and spark meaningful conversations.
Read Together: Set aside time each day to read together as a family.
Whether it's a favourite storybook or a new adventure, sharing the joy of
reading will not only enhance your child's literacy skills but also create
cherished memories that they'll carry with them for a lifetime.
Reflect and Plan: Take some time as a family to reflect on the past year
and set goals for the year ahead. Celebrate achievements, discuss
challenges, and brainstorm ways to support each other in the upcoming
school year.
Remember, the most valuable gift you can give your child is your time and
attention. So, as you embark on this summer adventure together, treasure
each moment and cherish the precious memories you create along the way.
Wishing you all a summer filled with love, laughter, and endless joy.
Warmest regards
English: Encourage your child to read at least one new storybook each
week and write a short paragraph about their favorite part of the story.
They can also practice writing letters to friends or family in neat
handwriting, focusing on using full sentences and correct punctuation.
Mathematics: Introduce fun math activities like counting objects,
simple addition and subtraction problems, or playing math games online.
You can use everyday situations, like shopping, cooking, or setting the
table, to make learning math more relatable and interesting for
your child.
Environmental Studies (EVS): Take your child on a nature walk and ask
them to observe and note down the different types of plants, animals,
and insects they see. Encourage them to draw pictures of their
observations and discuss the importance of each organism in its habitat.
This will not only improve their observation skills but also enhance their
understanding of the environment.
Art and Craft: Provide various art and craft materials and let your
child explore their creativity. They can make simple crafts related to
themes they are interested in or what they have learned in EVS. For
example, creating a collage from leaves and flowers collected during
their nature walk.
Physical Education: It’s important for children to stay active. Encourage
them to participate in physical activities such as cycling, swimming, or
playing a sport they enjoy. You can also include family activities like
morning walks or yoga sessions to make it more engaging.
Remember, the goal of holiday homework is not just to keep your child
busy but to enhance their learning in a fun and interactive way.
Encourage them to take their time with each activity, ensuring they
understand and enjoy the process. Happy holidays !
