4. Test Cases

➢ User Interface:

1. Multiple irrelevant colors in the homepage that seems monotonous. Should select a
color palette that matches with the theme of the university.
2. Page is not responsive enough. Elements are just getting smaller on higher resolution,
not adjusting according to the screen size.

These 3 dots are unnecessary (As there

Background slider should
consists slider button on the right side)
be bigger and more visible
3. Phone’s UI does not meet any standard. GUB logo is big, components are overlapping.

Green University
Logo Should be
Smaller in Phone

Dots are overlapping with

“Apply Now” button
4. Menu buttons are not properly identified when expanded. The options in the menu are
not illustrated properly (font size, font, color, etc.). Options should be visible and more
clickable.

These types of lines should not

be in website. Besides, they are
not even aligned properly

Different font and line spacing

with respect to the dropdown
menu and it’s childs (Not
peripheral)
5. The dropdown menu should automatically close if another section is clicked or provide
an option to close it.

Expanded dropdown menu

(Red marked) still stays while
clicked elsewhere
6. Clicked subjects should appear forward, but they don't.

While clicking on these images,

they are not appearing forward

7. The excessive off-white space in the displayed section detracts from the overall visual
appeal. Consider incorporating shadow or light effects to highlight elements, rather than
relying on a upward shift. This not only enhances the aesthetics but also ensures a more
seamless and engaging user experience.
8. The interface lacks consistency in peripheral elements, such as colors and section sizes.
Notably, the center element appears smaller compared to others, causing a visual
imbalance.

9. Shown texts are justified, but not aligned properly.

10. The smartphone UI is unsatisfactory, lacking visual appeal and featuring poorly aligned
sections. The website's footer takes up excessive space, dominating more than the entire
screen.
11. “Campus Life Events” and “News” section design is not lucrative.

12. “Contact US” option takes to the top of the website instead of taking to the bottom
where the contacts details are located.
13. Social Media’s logo in the footer is not visible enough.

14. Logo of each office should be placed here.

➢ Content:
1. The website's content is not sufficient.
2. Need to work on titles and details.
3. Mixed languages (Bangla and English) at the same page.

4. There should be more content at “About Us/Award Achievements” section.

Currently there is just one.
5. Requisitor name should be blank on the provided requisition template at “About
US/Forms”.

6. Faculty profile redirecting to the old website’s content.

7. In “Payment Procedure” the option to pay via USSD in Rocket is missing. The
biller ID: 2040 should also be included as students use this option mostly.
8. Content for “Green University Center for International Affairs (GCIA)” & “Center
of Space Law (CSL)” are missing. Nothing happening while clicking on these
options in the “Academic Tab”.
9. In the "Research/Research Areas" section, the content is currently focused solely
on CSE. It is necessary to enhance this page to encompass information from all
departments and showcase the range of research facilities available.
10. “Campus Map” option in the “Campus Life” section only contains classroom
names. It should be represented properly with illustrated maps as new students
and teacher get confused with the building names of the campus.
11. “Community Engagement” section should be detailed with club activities such as
photos, events, achievements, club facilities etc.
12. As the site is still under development and the departmental sites are not live yet,
they are redirected to the old website. It should be fixed as soon as possible.
7. Conclusion
There is a lot of work in this site that needed to be done. It should have,

1. User-Friendly Layout: The layout should be intuitive and user-friendly. Important elements
should be easily accessible, and the navigation should be straightforward.

2. Responsive Design: Ensure that the UI adapts well to different screen sizes and orientations. This
is particularly important for smartphones, where users interact with the device in various ways.

3. Optimized Use of Space: Make efficient use of screen space. Avoid unnecessary clutter and
prioritize the most important information or features. Be mindful of the balance between
content and white space.

4. Visual Hierarchy: Establish a clear visual hierarchy to guide users through the interface.
Important elements should stand out, and less crucial ones should not overshadow the primary
content.

In conclusion, there is room for improvement in the website's user interface (UI). It is very important for
us to conduct a thorough review of certain functions and update the content to enhance the overall user
experience. Addressing these issues will contribute to a more effective and user-friendly website for the
University community and visitors.
