Technology impacts the daily lives of individuals in every aspect of human life. In the
Educational field, technology has played a vital role, specially, as an instructional material and in
delivering lessons. Technology in education improves students’ performance, enabling each
student to adjust their own pace of learning. Through the use of technology students read, listen,
and view authentic, engaging, and timely materials and they practice interpersonal skills as they
interact via video, audio, or text in real-time with other speakers which improves English
language skills.
According to George Couros, “Technology will never replace great teachers, but in the
hands of great teachers, it’s transformational.” This emphasized that technological tools and
digital resources that are being used in teaching are electronic, digital, or physical sources can be
used and support the teaching strategies of the teacher for the benefit of the students. This tools
are intended to help the students as well as the teachers become resourceful, practice, and
discover new skills to be more efficient on their chosen journey. Particularly in language
learning, Kranthi (2017) stated that technology has been used to assist and enhance the learning
process. Teachers can integrate various forms of technology to support their teaching, engage
students’ motivation and participation in the learning process, provide authentic examples of the
target culture, and connect their classrooms.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The outcome of this research entitled "The Effectiveness of Integrating Innovative Technological
Tools and Digital Resources in Teaching English Language in BSED English II Students” can be
used for giving knowledge regarding the effectiveness of integrating technological tools and
digital resources on language learning of BSED English II students.
PALAWAN STATE UNIVERSITY. This research assumes a pivotal role in shaping the
academic landscape of the university, enhancing its appeal to prospective students. The
anticipated outcomes hold the potential for positive transformations in curriculum design and
teaching methodologies. This alignment seamlessly corresponds with the university's
unwavering commitment to cultivating an environment conducive to continuous learning and
innovation, thereby fortifying its overall academic reputation.
PARENTS. Parents stand to gain invaluable insights into their child's academic journey through
the findings of this study. The revelation of diverse factors influencing their child's educational
experience equips parents with the knowledge required for more effective support. Furthermore,
the outcomes empower parents to make well-informed decisions regarding their child's
educational trajectory, fostering a collaborative and informed relationship between the home and
the university.
STUDENTS. Students directly benefit from this study as it sheds light on the intricacies
influencing their success and satisfaction within the university. The acquired insights function as
a guiding compass, aiding students in making informed choices about their academic pursuits,
extracurricular engagements, and study habits. In essence, the study has the potential to elevate
and enrich the overall university experience for students.
FUTURE RESEARCHERS. This study stands as a foundational cornerstone for future research
endeavors. Aspiring researchers can leverage the findings as a launchpad, delving deeper into
specific facets, exploring interconnected areas, and employing the study's methodology and
insights as a comprehensive guide. In doing so, they contribute to the continuous evolution of
knowledge within the academic community, building upon the groundwork laid by this research.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of integrating innovative technological tools and
digital resources in teaching the English language specifically among BSED second year
students at PalSU – Coron (Palawan State of University – Coron) The study will be conducted
within (2023-2024) academic year and will involve the BSED second year as selected
participants. To gather data, survey questionnaires will be developed and administered to
measure the student’s perception.
The study will not specifically address the other needs of students and the participants will be
limited to BSED second year students of PalSU. While the study aims to explore the
effectiveness of integrating technological tools and digital resources on language learning, it will
not extensively investigate the overall academic performance in other subjects or areas.
