in a particular European country over a period of 20 years

survey years, while mountainous areas appeared to be the least popular for the most part. In addition,
all three areas saw an increase in the number of overseas tourists

with 40,000 foreign visitors choose this , significantly higher than the figure for the mountains and the
lakes at 20,000 and 10,000 respectively. Over the following 5 years , the number of foreign tourists going
to the coast dropped slightly to around 35,000 visitors, but the figure for the mountains and the lakes
alike rose at 25,000 visitors

From 1992 to 2007, the number of foreigners visiting coastal areas rose significantly, ending at 40,000 at
the end of the period and the figure for the mountains experienced a steady growth, reaching
approximately 35,000 vistors in the last year. Meanwhile , the number of travelers paying a visit to the
lakes reached a peak of roughly 75,000 in 2002,before decreasing back to just 50,000 visitors five years
later
