Weird Weather

They say that in the city of Birmingham, UK, you can see all the seasons in a single day. It can start out chilly and
windy in the morning, become warm and sunny in the afternoon, turn cold in the evening and even become
freezing cold overnight – all in the same day! That’s why the people who live there are prepared for anything. How
do they do this? By wearing the right clothes for the weather.
The people of Birmingham always carry umbrellas and bring raincoats with them because they never know when it
could rain. They also wear good shoes or boots because no one likes having wet feet! However, it can also get
very warm and sunny, so people don’t wear heavy jumpers if they don’t have a T-shirt on underneath. In this way,
they can be comfortable even if the weather changes from one hour to another.
In Birmingham, the weather is certainly weird. But the people who live there think it’s wonderful, too! In fact, they
don’t want to change a thing.

11 The weather in Birmingham changes very often. ........

12 It is possible for Birmingham to be extremely cold at night. ........
13 It’s too windy to use umbrellas in Birmingham. ........
14 In Birmingham, people wear T-shirts under their jumpers in case it gets hot. ........
