Terms and conditions of United Nations [UN] International Employment for
Subclass 482 Temporary Skills Shortage [MLTSSL] Sponsorship.
i. The employer [United Nations] hereby engages the employee and the employee hereby agrees to work with the
employer in Australia during such period the employee agrees to perform all legitimate duties assigned to him/ her in
his/ her capacity as an employee by his/ her employer.
ii. The contract will remain valid for initial period of FOUR YEARS; subject to renewable.
iii. The employer shall pay a Monthly salary to the employee and the salary shall be paid at regular monthly intervals. The
employer will also pay/give employee the full United Nations [UN] benefits and accrued bonuses accordingly.
iv. The employer will provide a maximum five (5) Return air/flight ticket(s) for employee and accompanying family
members to Australia.
v. The employer will provide the employee and his/her family, Business class boarding packages and a return flight ticket
each completed year through the contract period and on completion of the initial contract.
vi. The employee shall be given a paid leave of 30 days for every completed calendar year of service sequel to employee
right in Australia. Employee shall receive full salary apart from leave allowance at this time.
vii. The employer shall provide employment and education assistance to employee’s family where applicable, in
circumstance where international employee relocates to Australia with in-school/job family member(s).
viii. If employee wishes to terminate his/her agreement before the end of contractual period, he/she must reach a mutual
agreement with the employer for his/her compensation if necessary.
ix. The employee is obliged to a legal assistance from the regional assigned Australian Border Force/Case officer, in case
of untimely dismissal and for migration authorization such as regional GTE assessment process.
x. Due to the United Nations recent labour agreement with THE Australian immigration & Border Protection Department
of Home Affairs [DHA], the UN inter-racial new recruits / prospective employees, who have been nominated and
selected under this enhanced special priority emergency process status, are subject to undergo the UN joint tailored
graduate corporate training/induction programme after their successful arrival here in Australia before they can officially
start their new duty with the UN mission in Australia.

xi. The employee is obliged to 4years salary entitlement if the contract is terminated corporately or by a feasible reason
from the employee through a legal understanding with the regional assigned Australian Border Force / DFAT Case
officer.
xii. The employer shall provide an offer letter and employment contract to the employee whenever it is requested by the
Australian Immigration and Border Protection Department of Home Affairs [DHA].
xiii. The employer shall provide employee free lunch at the UN corporate cafeteria during duty or working periods.
xiv. The employer shall corporately provide personal (family) accommodation to the international employee and migrated
(accompanied) family member(s) in Australia during the 4years contract duration.
xv. Payment of compensation to the employee in case of disability or permanent injury arising out of and incurred while on
duty shall be provided for in accordance with the local Labour Laws, UN and employee right in Australia.
xvi. New Zealand, Canada, EU, UK & USA Labour Laws shall interpret these terms and all disputes will be settled through
the appropriate Labour Courts in Australia.
xvii. Employee shall not boycott the United Nations mission international obligation to work without any reason upon arrival
to the Australian airport through which his/her Australian TSS Subclass 482 special priority e-visa and TSS work
permit/license has been officially processed and granted.
xviii. Employee must provide every requirement demanded by the Department of Home affairs [DHA], Australia Immigration
& Border Protection and Australian Border Force (Case officers) necessarily needed for applicant’s (family) successful
e-visa and work permit emergency process and authorization.

the negotiation and preparation of employees work permit, e-visa and relocation processes by the Department of Home Affairs [DHA],
Australian Immigration & Border Protection / Australian Border Force.
1.3. The Applicant must treat as confidential, any information and documents provided by the United Nations to the Applicant including all
information and documents related to the United Nations International recruitment, agreement, operational and relocation arrangements.
