Towards this, we introduce another thought-provoking forum from Financial
Express
FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), the women’s wing of the apex

chamber ‘Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and
Industry’ (FICCI) was founded in the year 1983 and is the
oldest women’s business chamber in Southeast Asia. FICCI-
FLO represents over 8000 women entrepreneurs and
professionals across 18 chapters nationally and impacts the lives of thousands every
year through its work. FLO works aggressively towards promoting economic
empowerment & equal opportunities for women across sectors and verticals of the
economy, for a truly inclusive economic growth trajectory
Idea
To celebrate the virtues of Entrepreneurship and Success amongst the
aspiring and established entrepreneurs
Objective
First of its kind initiative which felicitates the emerging women
entrepreneurs of the Indian start-up ecosystem along with the established
women entrepreneurs who have shaped the industry and are ahead of the
curve
Vision
• Empowering women to be confident in their ambitions which propel
them to entrepreneurship
• The winners would set a benchmark of success for women in business and
inspire a million others to come forward and wield the baton of
excellence & leadership

Express Awards for
Women Entrepreneurs
An initiative of Financial Express & FICCI Ladies Organization
(FLO), the awards will celebrate excellence and an outstanding
achievement by India’s leading women entrepreneurs. Whose
innovative approach & clutter breaking ideas have created
positive changes in the business and social ecosystem in India.
Moving a step further from ‘empowerment’, the platform looks
to acknowledge and enable women leaders & achievers who
have opened up new opportunities for themselves & for others
Award Categories
Awards are conferred within 9 industry vertical to companies that have
been in operation for more than seven years.

Additionally, the empanelled jury shall felicitate three additional awards in
recognition of outstanding and inspiring work by India’s women
entrepreneurs who have gone above and beyond and achieved the
extraordinary!

Eligibility Criteria
Women entrepreneurs who have been operating successful companies for a period
exceeding 7 years.
Methodology
The nominees for each category will be nominated by a selection committee
comprising past Express Awards for Women Entrepreneur winners and
representatives from Express Group editors and FICCI Flo leaders. The knowledge
partner will assess them according to parameters established in collaboration with
the jury chair.
Evaluation Process
1. Establishment of a nomination process, ensuring nominees meet the eligibility
criteria.
2. Subcommittee reviews all nominations based on the predefined criteria. Shortlist
candidates submits recommendations to Knowledge partner for a check.
3. Post checks, the sub committee recommendations are presented to the Jury.
4. The jury members independently review and evaluate each nominee to select the
winners.
5. Announce the winners through an award ceremony to celebrate and recognize
the winners.
