Chapter 2 Functionality

2.1 New Functions

2.1.1 Overview
AMPL PC and DB Element Libraries 3.2/1 belong to Control Builder A 1.2/1.
They include AMPL library sets for all the target types listed below as well as on-line reference
manuals in electronic format if applicable. Each set of libraries will update Function Chart
Builder 6.2/1 in order to support a certain target type including all versions being released. In
addition libraries for Function Chart Builder 6.1 can be updated.
Without installing AMPL PC and DB Element Libraries, Function Chart Builder 6.2/1 cannot
be used for these targets.
With regard to Function Chart Builder 6.1 no new target types are supported.
• AC 450 AMPL Libraries 3.2/1 support
– Advant Controller 450 with SW QC02-BAS21*7.0, 8.0 and 9.0.
– Advant Controller 450 with SW QC07-BAS41*1.0, 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0.
• AC 410 AMPL Libraries 3.2/1 support Advant Controller 410 with SW QC01-
BAS11*7.0, 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0 and 11.0/1.
• AC 110 AMPL Libraries 3.2/1 support Advant Controller 110*2.0, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3.
• AC 160 AMPL Libraries 3.2/1 support Advant Controller 160*1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 2.0, 2.1 and
2.2.
• AC 70 AMPL Libraries 3.2/1 support Advant Controller 70*1.0, 1.1 and 1.2.
• AC 55 AMPL Libraries 3.2/1 support Advant Controller 55*1.0 and 1.1.
• MP 200/1 AMPL Libraries 3.2/1 support MasterPiece 200/1*2.0, 2.1, 3.0 and 4.0.
• AdvaSoft AMPL Libraries 3.2/1 support AdvaSoft*1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3.

NOTE
The previous version of Function Chart Builder 6.1 can also be updated. This has to be selected
during setup.
If FCB 6.2/0 is already installed on the PC, during “Typical” installation of AMPL Libraries the
following question appears:

3BDS013819D101 2-1
AMPL PC and DB Element Libraries Release Notes
Section 2.1.2 Change the Number of EVS to 128; only for the AC160 2.2 with PM665

Figure 2-1.

It is recommended to select the No Button.

If you select the Yes Button the libraries for FCB 6.2/0 are overwritten. The result is that the
FCB detects differences in DB and PC elements during next startup. Existing nodes using this
libraries need to be updated by initialize node and backtranslate. This update may cause
problems especially with number EVS DB elements.

2.1.2 Change the Number of EVS to 128; only for the AC160 2.2 with PM665
Expand number of EVS DB Element from 32 to 128 for together for EVS(S) and EVS(T). This
number of EVS should be possible for node type "AC 160 with PM66x 2.2".
For node type "AC 160 with PM64x 2.2" and other node types including EVS the maximal
number 32 remain.
This is included in FCB 6.2/1 with Libraries with AMPL Libraries 3.2/1

2.1.3 Expand range for terminal PMxxx:TDIFF

The limitation of value of terminal T_DIFF [-23..+23] has been changed to [-32768..+32767]
for PM645, PM646 and PM665.
For PM640 and PM644 the T_DIFF range of [-23..+23] remains.
For details see AC 160 2.2 Users Guide, 3BDS005555R401 Rev.A.
This is included in FCB 6.2/1 with Libraries with AMPL Libraries 3.2/1

Section 2.2 Discontinued and Replaced Functions and Units

2.2 Discontinued and Replaced Functions and Units

The following functions are discontinued since the AMPL Library version 3.2/0:
none

2.3 Fixed Problems

The following problems have been fixed since the AMPL Library version 3.2/0:

2.3.1 Expand DAT_DI and DAT_DO terminal VALUE_TR

The value of terminal VALUE_TR of DAT_DI and DAT_DO is limited to [0..2] in FCB 6.2/0.
In OPC server the value 3 and 4 of VALUE_TR got the following meaning:
- VALUE_TR=3: only coming deviation from NORM_POS is reported as event.
- VALUE_TR=4: only returning to NORM_POS is reported as event.
Starting with FCB 6.2/1 and Library version 3.2/1 the limit of VALUE_TR of DAT_DI and
DAT_DO has been removed for AC 160 2.2. The meaning of VALUE_TR value 3 and 4 has
been described in Data base Elements Reference Manual of AC 160 2.2.
The terminal VALUE_TR is included AMPL libraries in of
- AC 110 version 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3
- AC 160 version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2
- AC 70 version 1.0, 1.1, 1.2
This has been changed only in AMPL libraries for AC 160 2.2 for FCB 6.2/1.
All libraries except AC 160 2.2 remain unchanged.

2.3.2 CI627 problems when EN_DTMO=Yes, SR 3BDS009845

At the Terminal EN_DTMO of the CI626/CI627 DB elements wrongly the value YES could be
set. This value isn’t supported in any of the AC 110 version 2.0 to 2.3 or AC 160 version 1.0 to
2.2 controller but no error message is issued neither within the Engineering tool FCB 4.6 to
FCB 6.2 nor within the system diagnosis of AC 110 and AC 160 controllers.
Background information:
This parameter means "ENable Double TiMe-Out" on the AF100. It should enable longer
timeout time for cyclic data on AF 100.
This has been corrected in Libraries AC 160 2.2 of FCB 6.2/1. The value Yes can no longer be
set.

2.3.3 Load Calculation of PCPGM is too high

The function PC-Section> Computing Time for Node shows a very high value of over 800% for
the PCPGM, DB & PC connections for a user application. This value of load is wrong.
Problem occurs for FCB versions 6.2/0 and all versions >= 4.5 and ACC Advanced 1.7 and for
CV>= 5.5.

3BDS013819D101 2-3
AMPL PC and DB Element Libraries Release Notes
Section 2.4 Known Problems and Work Arounds

The problem occurs in case CI626 or CI627 and DSPs are used in application program only for
the following targets types:
AC160 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.0,2.1,2.2
AC 110 2.2, 2.3
AC 166 1.0
AC 80 2.0
This has been corrected for Libraries of FCB 6.2/1. The libraries of FCB 6.2/0 can be updated
during installation of libraries.

2.4 Known Problems and Work Arounds

The following problem is known for AMPL Library version 3.2/1:

2.4.1 Check of Available Disk Space

The check for available disk spaces is done for all selected library options after Select Library
Options dialog see Figure 3-2.
This is wrong in case the libraries shall be installed on a server without manuals.
In case there is not enough disk space on the drive of AEP_BUILDERS the following message
appears see Figure 2-2. It is not possible to proceed the installation in this case.

Figure 2-2. Warning Disk Space

Workaround:
• Change system variable AEP_BUILDERS to the drive of server installation or
• Unselect library options one library option after the other

2.5 Recommendations
There are no special recommendations concerning usage of AMPL PC and DB Element
Libraries.
