Your application goes through the following process:
Your application is checked for completeness.
If it is incomplete, you will be asked to upload any
outstanding documents.
Complete applications will be referred to the relevant
Programme Manager for selection.
You will receive feedback on your application and
guidelines on the next step.
Can I apply if I have only completed Grade 9 to
2 study at the College?
Yes, you can apply to study any of our National
Certificate Vocational (NCV) programmes, if you have
passed Grade 9.
Can I come to the campus to do a manual
3 application?
Northlink no longer has manual applications, only online
applications are allowed. Applicants are encouraged to
use the detailed, step-by-step, How-To-Guide to
complete online applications.
Applicants who struggle and need assistance may visit a campus

5 How do I track my application status?
Go to www.northlink.co.za and click login (insert your
student number and PIN). Your status will be displayed
under Application information.
6 Can I apply using my Birth Certificate?
Yes, you can apply with your birth certificate, but an ID
will be required at registration if you are 16 years and
older.
Which documents do I need to have for my
7 application?
Proof of address, certified copy of ID and a
certified copy of latest (passed) results.
8 What does my application status mean?
No Status/Blank: You have submitted your application
Ready for Your application has been checked
selection: and it is now ready for a Programme
Manager to process it.
Rejected: You do not meet the minimum
requirements for the course you
applied for.
Required Your application is incomplete
documents not because you did not upload the
uploaded required documents. This application
will not be processed until all the
required documents have been
uploaded.
Admitted You have been provisionally
accepted, provided that you comply
with all registration requirements.
Waiting List You have met the minimum
requirements for the course but
there is no space. You will be
considered for admission if some of
the admitted applicants do not
come for registration.

Can I apply to upgrade my Grade 12 at
10 Northlink College?
No, Northlink College does not offer Grade 12. We offer
Qualifications in NCV, Nated, Occupational, Short
Courses, Skills, CBMT and Trade Tests.
Does Northlink College offer student
11 accommodation?
Yes, Northlink College has student accommodation at
the Belhar and Tygerberg Campuses. Applicants who
are interested are encouraged to indicate while
completing their application for admission at Northlink
College.
What if Northlink residences are full, can I
12 apply at other residences?
Yes, you can apply at Northville Student
accommodation, interested applicants can enquire on
www.northville.co.za/
Does Northlink College have other branches
13 outside of Cape Town?
No, Northlink College has seven Campuses and they
are all situated in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.
