DELIVERANCE FROM FAMILY BONDAGE

There is a burgeoning of interest in the subject of deliverance among

Christians in this new millennium. More and more people are coming to
grips with the fact that it is impossible to enjoy one's life on earth without
going through some form of spiritual deliverance. This situation is more
pertinent when we consider that Africans and blacks in the Diaspora are
products of negative foundation.

For an individual to appreciate the level of bondage in his life that person
could cast his mind back to what happened in the lives of his grand parents
two hundred years ago.

One may have to ask questions like: Who are or were my grand parents?
Did they fight inter-tribal wars? Did they get involved with ritual killings?
Did they sacrifice to the gods of the land? Did they bury people alive?

Did they throw mothers of twin babies to the evil bush or forest? Did they
consult powerful fetish priests before they could have children? Were your
forefathers hunters and warriors who sucked human blood? Did they pay
homage to powerful gods and goddesses in order to prevail over their
enemies?

By the time you obtain sincere answers to these questions, you will have
discovered that your ancestry was deeply demonic, bloody and terrible. No
doubt, the conduct of your progenitors would have injected a lot of demonic
viruses into your life.

A high percentage of the bondage, which people have gone into today,
could be traced to the evil foundation or platform, which was constructed
by their parents. If you fail to go through total deliverance, you will
continue to pay dues as a result of the fact that your present and future life
has been mortgaged to the devil. You will only stop paying these
instalmental dues when you decide to subject yourself to thorough
deliverance.

Almost every family has one sort of family bondage or the other. You must
seek deliverance from family bondage and hindrances, from what your
parents and forefathers did and inherited. Inherited bondage is worse,
especially when the sufferer is unaware of its existence.

Family bondage is the worst form of bondage as it is corporate and

collective in nature. It is like coming under an evil umbrella. When such a
dark shadow is cast over your life, certain things will happen to you, no
matter how hard working, intelligent, gifted or exposed you may be.

For over 30 years now, I have listened to pathetic and heart-rending stories
which border on extremely distressing situations. I have also watched with a
lot of passion and pity as millionaires shed tears uncontrollably. I have
listened with mouth agape as those who have reached the top of their
careers in medicine, the military, politics, business and academics break
down and slump like vegetable, as a result of shattered dreams and
inexplicable life situations. What is more, my heart has been touched by the
stories of ministerial failures narrated by respected men of God. As I think
of these cases, something keeps on ringing in my heart: Family bondage! I
have discovered that many people are carrying the cross constructed by
their fathers and forefathers. This is the toughest battle to fight.

One of he saddest things in life is when a person suffers not for having
committed any offence but because of where he or she comes from. If you
are a member of a family under bondage, it is akin to being under an evil
umbrella. If you must get out from under this evil umbrella, be prepared for
a serious battle. To worsen the situation, some people sponsor such evil
bondage by their own acts.

John 10: 10 says,

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am
come that they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.
 THE POWER THAT PUTS FAMILY IN
BONDAGE
What is the power that puts families in bondage? It is the power of the
thief. It steals from families. Many families are already 'stolen'. Why is the
enemy interested in stealing families? It is because he knows the
importance of the institution of marriage. He knows that God Himself
abhors loneliness, and that marriage is a very serious issue. The enemy
knows that marriage can make or break you, and cause all other things to go
wrong. The enemy knows that the family is like a church within a church, a
wall within a wall, a republic within a republic.

The enemy knows that when things run smoothly within a family, things
will run smoothly in every area; and that when things go wrong in marriage,
things go wrong everywhere else. He knows that the family is the building
block of civilisation.

Some of the wicked spirits in the universe are fighting specifically against
marriages. This is the reason many people face problems. The enemy has
looked at you and has realised that if he allows you to go ahead with a
smooth marital life, the home will be quite risky to him, so he is busy
struggling hard to frustrate you. But you shall end up frustrating your
enemy, in the name of Jesus.

EVIDENCES OF FAMILY BONDAGE

None of us chose our parents at birth, or the colour or race to belong to.
We simply find ourselves in our families. If you have observed the trend in
your family and discover that the family has been in poverty from
generation to generation, with no evidence of any member of that family
who lives comfortably, this should nudge you to suspect family bondage.

Maybe, in your family, you often observe that some members do get to
the edge of a breakthrough but everything often falls apart. The contract
that would give someone a vital breakthrough would always almost get
signed, then, on the day it was to be signed, news would suddenly come that
the managing director has died, of course, without signing the contract. If
you notice that things always fall apart at the last minute, or that, people
never get started on any good project, and even when they start, they never
finish, or that those who are married are suffering or that majority are not
happy with their marriage, and some are not married at all, you need to pray
with holy madness to ward or cast off such evil patterns.

Maybe you have observed that your mother is not able to identify the
father of your siblings, or that she is no longer with your father and is living
alone or with another man, then you need to pray, as this evil anointing may
be the source of your problem.

Perhaps you are from a polygamous home and you observe that all men
who have approached you for marriage are already married, or that you
always break relationships with those who have approached you without
any genuine reason, you certainly need to pray. You may be a victim of
family bondage.

In many African families, there is often this thing called spirit husband or
wife, whereby all the ladies in the family are married to a particular spirit
husband. This manifests in a situation where all such ladies are unable to
keep a marriage.

It may also be that you have observed a particular type of sickness

afflicting member of your family from one generation to the other. For
example, if you observe that, in your family, two persons or more have died
of cancer, you need to pray. In fact, there is a terrible development in some
parts of the world right now: Ladies whose mothers had died of breast
cancer, quickly go and have their own breasts removed, believing that if
they fail to do so, they too will eventually be afflicted with cancer of the
breast. But the beautiful thing is that the Bible says "Call upon Me, and I
will answer."

If you notice also that in your family, a lot of young men die prematurely
and that you are the only one that is born again in that family of perhaps
chronic idol worshippers, or that your married sisters are always the ones
feeding their husbands, you surely need to pray for there is a family
bondage at work. One way you can do this is by praying the way you have
never prayed before: with a spirit that believes that immediately you have
prayed, you will receive a solution. If you fail to deal with it, it may
swallow you up in the end.

A person born through accidental pregnancy, or outside marriage, or of a

mother who was passed to another man after the death of her husband,
needs to pray.

CAUSES OF FAMILY BONDAGE

In the African setting, there are many things that cause family bondage.

BAD MARRIAGE FOUNDATION. When the foundation of a marriage

is faulty, that fault will spread like waters of a river through all the children,
thus polluting all the whole family. For instance, when a family or
community is to be poisoned, the target is often a communal pond or pot
from where its members draw water. It is the same way with a family
bondage resulting from faulty marriage foundation. Because of this, you
need to sit back and consider seriously how your parents' marriage was
contracted; whether they had a proper marriage.
Was your mother properly married or merely given to your father? By the
time you start to ask these questions, you will discover what went wrong.

GENERATIONAL CURSES. When a family is under a generational

curse, it runs through the members of the family. There will always be that
negative tendency to do things wrongly in a family under generational
curse.

EVIL DEDICATION. When a baby is dedicated to a deity like Sango or

Amadioha, such idols automatically have influence over that baby and its
own children. The same situation applies when a mother dedicates her child
to the Lord Jesus Christ. If you have been dedicated in this way, and you
refuse to get born again, your life will be rough and upside down, with
Jesus Christ pursuing you because of your dedication to Him. In the same
way the idols you have been dedicated to will pursue you until they catch
up with you. It is only the blood of Jesus that can break their hold on you.

EVIL COVENANT. When a family has been put under an evil covenant,
it will affect the life of every member of the family. Some of us may have
noticed that it is not only in our marital lives that we wage battles, but in
several other areas as well. For this we need to pray vigorously.

BEWITCHMENT. What is bewitchment? It is that power to influence a

person through witchcraft. In this way, an entire family may be handed over
to a witches' coven and, one by one they get slaughtered.

OCCULTIC INVOLVEMENT. If any member of your family belongs

to a lodge society, or such evil association, then you become a subject to its
evil manipulations. Were you born in the white garment church or in a
herbalist's house or named 'Raphael', or other strange names, which are not
found in the Bible, you need to pray seriously as these cause problems.

STRONGMAN. An entire family can also come under the bondage of a

strongman, who dictate to the whole family. Some of us may have noticed
that anytime we pray really hard, we see a figure trying to attack us. This
figure may be the family strongman.

THE WAY OUT

What is the way out of all these? The first step is to sit down and make a
list of ancestral sins in your life, then confess them to God and ask for His
forgiveness for all of them.

Third, we need to surrender ourselves to Jesus Christ. Those under family

bondage are not only fornicators, and if they are, this can only strengthen
their bondage. We should not play with sins. If we do, we shall end up
strengthening our bondage. It is equally necessary for whoever is under a
family bondage to pray deliverance prayers.

If a pregnant woman is kidnapped, the innocent foetus in her womb

suffers with her, so do members suffer in a family that is under bondage. If
the pregnant woman's kidnap resulted from her careless walk, certainly it is
not the fault of the baby, yet it suffers with the mother.

The time has come for believers to pursue the enemy into the Red Sea.
The time has come for people to realise that all forms of lackadaisical
prayers are inadequate to deal with the enemy. The time has come for us to
stop playing church and decide that we need our freedom and definitely
want it, The time has come that if the enemy is busy rejoicing over us, we
should check our own lives.

After reading this book we would no longer remain the same. You have to
believe that immediately after you have prayed the prayer points at the end
of this chapter and you will obtain dumb-founding results. The Bible says,
"Believe the prophets, and you will be saved." So you must believe and
determine to stand in this gap for your family.

DEALING WITH THE SPIRIT HUSBAND OR

WIFE
Let us quickly see what Isaiah 52:l-2 says:

Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful

garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more
come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean. 2Shake thyself from the
dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy
neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

This passage is very important. Just as there are physical marriages, there
are spiritual marriages as well. In Genesis 6:1-5 we see that there are some
spirits bent on destroying daughters and sons of men. These are the types of
spirits we are determined to deal with, in this chapter. As it is possible for
one to be attractive physically, so also it is possible to attract demonic
forces, and these demonic forces are very terrible.

A spirit husband is the spirit that wages war against marital institutions
and its purpose is to pollute the life of its victims. It is a cruel and jealous
spirit, which would go to the extent of killing people in order to carry out its
wishes. You should wage war against spirit husbands or spirit wife and
command them to die in Jesus' name.

There are various categories of spirit husbands and spirit wives. Some
people are conscious of them and others are not, nonetheless, they keep
operating in our lives.

Some people can see and talk with their spirit spouses, and there are
invisible ones we cannot see or talk with. A spirit husband hates marriage
and whenever in operation, its activities are aimed at ensuring that its
subject remains unmarried, or it breaks up the marriage.

There are some spirit husbands who pay the full bride price to get married
to a woman in the spirit realm; and once this has been done; the victim will
find it difficult to get married in the physical realm. This way, a lot of
people's efforts at getting married are thwarted time and time again. A lot of
people from the riverine areas find themselves in this category.

If you have sexual intercourse in the dream, you have a spirit spouse in
your life. Likewise, when you see yourself giving birth to a baby in the
dream, this shows the activities of a spirit spouse in your life. These are
marriage destroyers. But how do we deal with them?

To really deal with spirit spouses, you must run away from all evil deeds.
If you have been having extra-marital affairs or going to bed with someone
you have no intention to many, you must have been strengthening the
bondage of a spirit spouse over you.

The second thing you have to do is to locate the entry point of the spirit
spouse into your life, then reject and renounce the evil marriage because
God does not allow marriage between a human being and a spirit. It is only
species of the same kind that should get wedded together.

The next thing you have to do is issue a bill of divorce against such spirit
spouse, which may be an inherited one or tribal one operating in your life.
Whichever category it may belong to, you should develop a strong hatred
for it and pray fervently against it so that you can be left to enjoy your life
as ordained by God.
 DELIVERANCE FROM EVIL MARITAL
PATTERN
Nahum 1:9 says,

What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end:

affliction shall not rise up the second time.

Evil marital patterns afflict many families. They are curses by the devil to
make marital promises fail in people's lives.

An evil marital pattern can also be termed a collective captivity in a

family. It makes all members of a family to follow the evil pattern the devil
has drawn for them. It makes a person see what is good for his or her life
but not to be able to achieve it, or enjoy it.

The enemy uses evil marital patterns to frustrate many people, but the
Bible says, "Affliction will not rise the second time." This means that evil
marital patterns that the enemy has designed for you and your family shall
not continue.

The plan of God for His children is very clear in His word. It says that a
man shall leave his mother and his father, and the woman too shall leave her
father and her mother, and both of them shall come together, and shall
become one flesh. This is God's perfect plan. The Bible also says that,
"Whosoever findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour from
the Lord."

An evil marital pattern, is what the devil uses to torment and harass
people from getting married. When a man has a divided mind on every
sister that comes his way, an evil pattern exists in his life. Likewise, when
the men who approach a sister are married men, it shows an evil marital
pattern. As you read this book, every evil plan against your life shall be
destroyed, in the name of Jesus.

If you observe that only unbelievers, or unserious men are approaching

you for marriage, there is an evil marital pattern in your life. Financial
problems after marriage is the activity of the evil one. If no one has
approached you for marriage there is an evil marital pattern in your life.
When those who approach you for marriage always have one thing or the
other to complain about you, in spite of your efforts to please them, and the
relationship invariably breaks up, this indicates the presence of an evil
marital pattern in your life.

A brother once narrated his experience to me about a sister he once

proposed to many. On the very night that he proposed to the sister, her spirit
husband appeared and beat him up with his penis which measured about six
feet long. The brother woke up with bruises all over his body and decided to
abandon the sister. This is one prove of the existence of an evil marital
pattern.

Your own case may be that you have prayed several times and each time
you are close to a breakthrough, you start having bad dreams, problems, or
a terrible sickness afflicting you. But as long as your prayer does not touch
this area of your life, everything goes on smoothly. This is a design that the
enemy has fashioned for your life. You need to pray fervently for whatever
evil pattern that may have been designed for your life to be destroyed.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Every spirit working against my marriage, depart now and never
return, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every family bondage, break, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every inherited spirit husband or wife, die, in the name of Jesus.
4. Fire of God, burn away all family yokes, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every covenant binding me to a spirit spouse, break, in the name of
Jesus.
6. I release the spirit of destruction upon all stubborn household
witchcraft in charge of my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. I fire back all witchcraft arrows affecting my life, in the name of Jesus.
 8. Every household witchcraft padlock fashioned against my life, be
roasted, in the name of Jesus.
9. My soul, come out from every witchcraft bewitchment by fire, in the
name of Jesus.
10. Every power holding on to my marital breakthrough, break up by fire,
in the name of Jesus.
11. I withdraw my life from every anti-marriage curse and covenant, in the
name of Jesus.
12. As from today, I refuse to follow every pattern of evil marriage, in the
name of Jesus.
13. Every evil river flowing into my life, dry up, in the name of Jesus.
14. I strive against evil marital patterns in my life, in the name of Jesus.
15. The problem that occurred in my parents' lives shall not occur in my
own life, in the name of Jesus.
16. (Lay your right hand on your chest as you say this:) Afflictions of evil
marital pattern, stop, in the name of Jesus.
17. My life, you must not follow any evil pattern, in the name of Jesus.
18. Whether the enemy likes it or not, I will get married, in the name of
Jesus.
19. Any old witch disturbing my life, what are you waiting for? Die, in the
name of Jesus.
20. Begin to thank God for the deliverance from family bondage.

DEALING WITH EVIL PATTERNS

An evil pattern is one of the most stubborn problems to deal with. To be

frank, it is difficult to break the circle of an evil pattern. Once it starts it
goes on until it has affected and ruined succeeding generations.

The scourge of an evil pattern plagues many people in Africa as well as in

the western countries. Sometimes, it can span two hundred years or more.

An evil pattern is anything that is opposed to good patterns. Satan is the

architect and the executor of evil patterns. Evil patterns are stubborn. They
cannot be stopped by high-sounding doctrines. They can run through an
entire family or community like an evil thread. The devil desires to keep an
evil pattern intact. An evil pattern is introduced to make you turn back on
God's pattern. You will continue to suffer as long as you allow evil patterns
to thrive.

For example, when someone is under the spell of an evil pattern of

failure, every effort made will end up with the verdict of failure. Many
hard-working people have been baffled by the problem of non-achievement.
Spiritually speaking an evil pattern is very difficult to put an end to.
Generally, evil patterns are established in the spiritual realm. Many of the
evil patterns that people grapple with today were put in place even before
they were born. Unfortunately, many sufferers do not even know that an
evil pattern is hovering above their heads. Many people have died and
carried such evil patterns to their graves. Those problems can thrive until
the victims get to a place where such issues are addressed and tackled
through the power of aggressive prayers.

Is there an evil pattern in your life? This chapter will change your life and
assist you to break stubborn yokes that are disturbing your peace, joy and
well-being.
 I wonder whether there is any African that is not battling with the
problem of an evil pattern. For many of us, various patterns were
established even before our fathers were born. These evil patterns were put
in place and sealed through very powerful covenants. Any pattern
established through a covenant is a tough one. Unless something is done,
generations yet unborn will continue to suffer and many mysterious things
will continue to happen.

While solution-defying problems will be on the increase, mysterious

mishaps will occur periodically. Evil attitudes and problems will trail one
another. In Africa, when people say, "Like father like son," they are making
reference to the existence of an evil pattern. When men and women battle
vigorously with problems like violent anger, compulsive stealing, an
uncontrollable sexual urge, addiction to gossips, quitting at the point of
achieving outstanding success, hatred for no just cause, denial of rights
which others receive effortlessly, and other difficult problems, all these are
clear indications that an evil pattern is working against the people.

Ignorance is no excuse. Sad enough, the ignorant suffer most. Ignorance

will only prolong what you are going through. It is good to seek knowledge
and freedom from the chain that has held you and Jour progenitors down for
a very long time. Your freedom and deliverance begin with the knowledge
of the fact that an evil pattern has been responsible for most of your attacks
and battles. The issue of evil patterns is one that should concern every one
of us. Even if there is no such thing in your life at present, you need to pray
against it.

II Samuel 3:28 says:

And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are
guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:

This statement was made because a captain in David's army called Joab
cleverly killed Abner who had come to favour David. David's statement can
be seen as a lamentation. Verse 29 says,

Let it rest on the head of Joab, and on all his father's house; and let there
not fail from the house of Joab one that hath an issue, or that is a leper, or
that leaneth on a staff, or that falleth on the sword, or that lacketh bread.

This means that in the family of Joab, someone must be suffering from an
issue of blood; there will always be a leper; deformity or poverty will also
abound These are terrible words, which we shall return to later.

PATTERN
A pattern is an order, an arrangement, or a design. Therefore, a divine
pattern is a divine order, a divine arrangement, or a divine design.

There is a big rule in the spiritual world, which does not change: All lives
are patterned after something. Your life must be patterned after something;
everybody must be patterned after a particular thing.

In I Timothy 1:16, we read this interesting Scripture:

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ
might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should
hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Jesus is called a patterned Son. God Himself is a God of pattern. There

are many instances in the Bible where God gives clear patterns.

It was God that gave the entire pattern for Noah's ark. It was a strange
ship, both in height, length and breadth. For God to give this pattern, He
went into carpentry, construction, civil engineering, shipbuilding, and
mathematics. He took Noah to a place of skill that man had never
experienced. Noah spent 120 years building this ark after a pattern. It was
part of the pattern that the window should not be by the sides but at the top
so that whenever it was opened, it opened to heaven.

Also for the release of the children of Israel from bondage, God gave
Moses the pattern for the Passover. They and their fathers had never heard
of the Passover before, but the Lord introduced it. This means that if you
were in Israel on that day, and God said, this is the pattern of the Passover,"
and you said, "No, I have a better idea, I'd do it a different way," you would
certainly die. Or, if you left your house that night and said, "I have an
Egyptian friend next door whom I'd love to see," you were sure to die.
Likewise, when God gave the order for a lamb to be killed, if you killed a
cow, you were sure to suffer instant death, because that was not the pattern
to be followed.

Also, God told Moses the pattern for the tabernacle. In Hebrew 8:5, God
delivered the pattern to Moses with a severe warning:

Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses
was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for,
See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to
thee in the mount.

If Moses built it in a different way, failure was sure to follow and he may
end up killing himself.

The taking of the city of Jericho followed a pattern from the Lord, it was
not subject to military analysis. "Go forth," it said, "don't talk, go round the
place seven times, for seven days, and then shout." This has never been
written in any military book as a method of attack. It was a pattern from
God. But if anyone thought this was a form of madness, and refused to do
as God had directed, the city would not have fallen. God gave the pattern
for the house of God where we worship, and from which we have never
deviated. This is why some worldly habits can never fit in with the church.

YOUR DIVINE PATTERN

Is your life following the divine pattern for it? Is your divine destiny still
intact or has there been an alteration? This is a serious question. What
pattern is your life following? There are two ways to find out one's divine
pattern.

THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT. When you ask the Holy Spirit for an
idea about your life, He will impart the knowledge of the divine pattern of
your life.
 BY UNDERSTANDING THE WORD OF GOD. When you begin to
study the word intensively, your divine pattern will manifest itself.

Failure usually starts when there is no balance between what is revealed

about your life by God and your experience When God says you are this,
but you live your life some other way, failure sets in.

Disaster occurs when a person follows other patterns apart from the
divine one meant for his life. If a person has departed from the divine
pattern for his life, and keeps praying for breakthroughs, there will be no
answer until he says, "O Lord, if I've been wrongly scheduled, rescheduled
me,"

God wanted Jonah to go to Nineveh but he decided that it was best for
him to head for Tashish. As long as the boat of Jonah was heading for
Tashish, there was no peace in his life. In deliverance sessions, ministers try
to help by probing to see whether there is a trend of a problem in a family
lineage. For example, occurrence of the same problem in a person's lineage
is usually taken as the root of a problem.

EVIL PATTERNS
In some families, it may be that all first borns rarely live beyond 40 years.
There may be families where people do not get married, or where at one
point or the other in their lives, there is a problem of insanity. So, one way
or the other, there is a pattern that some families follow. Sometimes a
recurrence of the same problem, when closely observed reveals at its root a
spiritual curse issued by somebody. Such was the case of Joab who was
cursed by David.

That curse introduced a strange dimension of evil patterns. When first-

borns in a particular family die below the age of 40, this is an evil pattern.
Where there are ten mature but unmarried ladies in a family, this is an evil
pattern. When grandfather, father, and brother died as paupers, this is an
evil pattern. Likewise, a family in which all the men are alcoholic
represents an evil pattern.
 The occurrence of a particular evil pattern anywhere may wear a mask to
confuse us. It may appear as if there was no pattern in place, or like a mere
case of different unrelated problems happening without any pattern.

Upon careful observation, a confusing pattern emanating from the same

source emerges. It was this kind of confusing pattern that David pronounced
on the lineage of Joab. It was the same root of a curse, the same tree of a
curse, but with different branches. For example, if all of a sudden during
some military exercise on the parade ground, somebody falls down and
dies, that person may be from the lineage of Joab. If a stray bullet suddenly
hits somebody, that person may be from the lineage of Joab. Also,
somebody may have just a small wound in the leg, which could have healed
with a minor treatment, but if the person is from the lineage of Joab,
because a curse is in place, he or she is sure to die of the wound.

A person from Joab may go for a simple operation like tooth extraction
only for it to lead to complication and death, because there is already a
curse on his lineage. The children of Joab may be constant victims of armed
robbers, even when they have nothing to be desired by any thief, because of
the curse on the lineage of Joab. They may be victims of accidental bullets
discharged from the gun of an unknown soldier. If suddenly somebody
develops cancer and shortly is dead, he or she may be from the lineage of
Joab. With time, the pattern may become so obvious that people start to ask
questions about it. But when it is not so obvious, the pattern exists all the
same.

Wherever such a pattern exists and all we do is cut the individual

branches, this avails nothing, until we deal with the root. The enemy may
establish an evil pattern that will be operating at different times and in
different ways. The problems may not look the same. It may be a state of
siege from different kinds of problems, but the purpose of the evil pattern is
the destruction of the divine pattern in a person's life.

The Bible says, "The Son of man goeth as it is written." There is

something in the Bible about your life. The book of Hebrew tells us that
there is a book of records in which the pattern for everyone's life is written.
We must aspire to live up to what is written in that book.
 When a person's life continually follows an evil pattern then the person
might as well say, "The son of man goeth as it is NOT written." This means
it is following another pattern totally different from what is written in the
book of records for him. The purpose of such an evil pattern is to arrest,
slow down, render inactive, or keep the victim under evil custody and
stagnates his destiny.

If God opens your eyes to see witches and familiar spirits in their
meeting, you will observe that they are always rejoicing because they
always have an easy run in so many peoples' lives. They have taken over
the administration of many churches. They are doing extremely well while
Christians are busy preaching to one another about elementary doctrines.
No wonder we have not been making much impact these days. God's
generals a few these days. We only have a lot of noise makers these day
sand those who are interested only in appearing on television. God is not
looking for entertainers; He is looking for people to arrest the devil.

There is a wide witchcraft network seeking to terminate divine patterns

and install evil patterns. Them is a department in the demonic kingdom
called 'The Affairs of Men'. Demons in that department are concerned with
destroying divine patterns. Man is a spirit, living inside a body and has a
soul. So, the enemy realises that if he can destroy any of these three
components he can make a mm's life stagnant and destroy his divine
pattern.

You definitely need to pray some serious prayers. Take a look at your life
and try to set whether it is patterned after your mummy who married three
husbands and, from the way things are going in your own life, your husband
is about kicking you out, This means you are following a pattern that needs
to be broken. Or, do you observe any evil pattern in your family that call for
urgent action on your part? As already indicated an evil pattern exists in
various forms.

Irresponsibility is a trend in some families. A self-will is another evil

pattern common in some families, while in others it may be skin disorder.
 Marital turbulence as an evil pattern manifests itself in family members
below 20 who have children while still in the secondary school. Such a
family, a 12 year old trying on her mother's bra, and you are rebuking her, is
certainly a waste of time as such a child is merely following the pattern
already established for that family.

In some families, a lot of sexual immorality takes place, while in others

the polygamous or the Jezebellian spirit rules the family. The husband
hardly prospers and the wife ends up taking over the headship of that
family, feeding and clothing both the husband and the children.

In some other families, it is depression, bad habits, unforgiving and

argumentative spirit. In others, it is bitterness, making one member hold
grudges against the other, even till death.

Careless indifference is the evil pattern ruling in some families; they do

not bother about the Scripture or their prayer life.

Members of some families are a pack of gossips, always gossiping about

one another and about their neighbours and friends. In some families we see
a trend of confusion, while in others the people find themselves being
abandoned by friends at their hours of need. They may always sweat and
labour for their friends, but when they need help there would be nobody to
assist them.

Some families' are candidates for curses. If they visit their villages,
someone gets annoyed and places a curse on them. They always collect
curse that were not originally intended for them. In some other families,
financial failure is the evil pattern. Everyone, including the unborn baby, is
poor.

Hard times, poverty, or farming with drudgery is the order of the day in
some families. While other families practise mechanised farming, they are
perpetually engaged in energy-sapping, soul- searing manual labour from
dawn to dusk, often with nothing to show for it.

Laziness runs through some families. It flows through the veins of the
members who simply refuse to work. This is an evil pattern.
This may also be the case in some parts of the country where men, addicted
to alcohol, loathe any form of work, and the womenfolk work for them.

In some families, the pattern is idol worship, bad dreams and worry, while
in others the members have a common history of wasted childhood. They
spend the first 20 years messing up. Then, at the age of 40, they become
serious and by this time, the female members are likely to have had about
five different children for different irresponsible men.

In some families, the members go through what can be called satanic

discipline which stems from lack of loyalty or faithfulness to satan who is
their master.

EXAMPLES OF DISPATTERNED PEOPLE IN

THE SCRIPTURES
Adam was a patterned son but the enemy dispatterned his life.

This made it necessary for a second Adam to come into the world. If the
first Adam had not been dispatterned, there would be no need for the second
one (Jesus) to come.

Eve was a patterned daughter who was dispatterened.

Cain was a patterned first son but was dispatterned by the enemy.
Esau, another patterned twin son, was dispatterened by the enemy.
The enemy dispatterned Reuben, another first son.
The enemy dispatterned Aaron, the first priest in Israel.
Balaam was one of the most serious prophets in the Bible but the enemy
dispatterned him.
Saul was a patterned king; the enemy dispatterned him.
The enemy dispatterned Solomon, another patterned king.
The enemy dispatterned Judas Iscariot, a very clever and brilliant patterned
disciple.
The enemy dispatterned Annanais and Saphira, a patterned couple.
Demas would have been one of the apostles, but the enemy dispatterned
him.

In all these cases, the enemy allowed sin to enter into the hearts of the
individuals. When sin enters into a heart, it becomes rebellious. When a
person conceives rebellion, it becomes witchcraft, and the spiritual power of
witchcraft takes over and the victim thereafter follows an evil pattern which
enters into the gene for transmission to the offspring, thus becoming a
generational problem.

ENTRY POINTS FOR EVIL PATTERNS

The three major entry points of evil patterns are SIN, CURSES, and
WITCHCRAFT MANIPULATION. All these dispattern a person's life.
And when the enemy wants to dispattern a person's life, he employs various
strategies.

FAILURE TO LOCATE ORIGINAL PATTERN. He makes a person

ignorant of whom he should be and he can hardly become whom God wants
him to be.

THE ENEMY CAN RELOCATE THE PERSON FROM THE PLACE

OF THE ORIGINAL PATTERN. For example, many people have this
funny belief that unless they travel out of their country, they can never
prosper. God may be telling them to proceed to Abakaliki where His
blessings await them but they would be struggling to travel to America.

Likewise, there are some people who should be prayer warriors in a living
church but whom the devil has lured into some big but empty church post
elsewhere. There they are busy taking minutes, carrying files while the
minutes of their own lives are steadily wasting away.

THE ENEMY CAN INTRODUCE A FOREIGN BODY INTO THE

PATTERN OF A PERSON'S LIFE. For example, by divine pattern some
people are not meant to smoke cigarettes at all. The day they smoke
cigarette their life gets dispatterned. Also, some people are not meant to
consult any herbalist in their life. From the day they do so, their life
becomes dispatterned. This means that there are certain things allowed for
others but which a particular person must not venture into.

By the pattern the enemy has given to some, they are prostitution
incarnate and no matter how much prostitution they engage in, even without
the use of contraceptives, they would never become pregnant. Others, at
first attempts, get pregnant no matter how careful they are. It is because
prostitution is not meant for them, and once they try it, and get pregnant, the
devil kills the child, thereby altering their pattern by smearing the blood of
an innocent child.

So, when something is not in your pattern and you engage in it, you will
easily get into trouble.

LACK OF INTEREST IN YOUR DIVINE PATTERN. Sometimes the

enemy makes a man's divine pattern unattractive to him so that he seeks
after a pattern not meant for him. The devil uses this to disrupt the person's
life.

WRONG MARRIAGE. When a person gets married to the wrong

partner, his life becomes dispatterned, unless God puts it together for him
again.

This reminds me of a brother who wanted to work for God. He was a

healthy, strong young man and highly anointed. When he was about starting
his ministry, he prayed. It was also his desire to marry before he started the
ministry, so he chose a beautiful singer in his choir and put this into prayer.
God's response to this threw him off balance. God told him that if he really
wanted to know whom his real wife was, he should think of that lady with
tuberculosis who was always sitting and coughing by the door and had the
habit of occasionally fainting in the church - that was his wife!

It was a hard decision for the brother. He argued with God for some time
but being a fellow who loved listening to God, he went ahead and proposed
to the second girl and asked her to go and pray about it. To his surprise, the
lady said this was not necessary. Somehow, they got married. It was as if the
marriage was the medicine the lady needed for her problem. Soon after the
marriage, the tuberculosis disappeared! She rapidly regained her weight and
became an aggressive evangelist. Meanwhile, the lady the brother intended
to marry originally got married to another man but, two months after, she
died.

THE ENEMY COULD DISRUPT THE EXISTING PATTERN.

THE ENEMY COULD REPLACE THE DIVINE PATTERN WITH

A FAKE ONE THROUGH THE POWER OF WITCHCRAFT.

A lot of people are endlessly battling with evil patterns without knowing it.
Others know that the pattern that their lives follow is not the one divinely
ordained for them and they are busy analysing how they got into it, and the
way out of it, but with no real power to break out of it.

I ministered to a prostitute some years back. She came to me in tears to

narrate how she was married to a man who had died, and after which his
relatives came an carted away all his belongings. Left penniless and hungry,
she had nowhere to go hence she went into prostitution. I advised her to go
through deliverance after which she could get help. She got a breakthrough
and carried on smoothly for a while. Soon after, however, she disappeared
from the church. Later, we found her once again - but under a bridge!
Then, we were not as spiritually knowledgeable as we are today. So we
took the trouble of asking her about her mother. "My mother?" she replied,
hissed and said, "Well, she's somewhere at Ajegunle, running a brothel
there."

From this it can be seen that all that happened to her, including the death
of her husband, was meant to make her follow an evil pattern.

It may be that you had a weird father whose pattern your life has not
followed. This, however, should not lure you into complacency for the
Bible says, "Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed, lest he falls."
Taking heed saves you from sliding into your weird father's life pattern. I
have seen people, even ministers of God, who stood firmly for 50 years
after which they backslide into sin. An evil pattern had existed for them to
follow knowing it.
 Peer groups inform some evil patterns while their level of comfort guides
others so that the moment they reach a certain level of comfort, an evil
pattern comes into play in their lives. If you observe that your life has been
full of incessant torments that deny you of your divine benefits, then know
that you are under the control of an evil pattern. And if no matter how you
pray, unrepentant and stubborn household enemies remain unrepentant,
there is an evil pattern in place.

Or if you are a victim of intensive marital turbulence, and bedevilled with

'almost there' anointing, or the spirit of Pizgar; or you've noticed that your
life has been converted into a material for testing the weapons of the enemy
there is an evil pattern in place. Or if you've noticed that for the 20 years
that you have been living in a particular house, you have made no
significant progress and you have no money to get out; or you find that you
have been fighting terrible wars in your dreams, there is an evil pattern in
place.

Or if you have financial embarrassments or spiritual stagnation, and

hidden and clever devourers eat away your divine benefits, or that your
talents have been buried and those who wished to help you have
disappeared an evil pattern is in place. Or if before you get anything done,
you have to struggle and struggle endlessly and you are always enmeshed in
a chain of problems, then you are under the control of some evil patterns.

Perhaps you have children working abroad but you are hungry. You
always occupy the wrong positions so that whenever it is time for
promotion somebody upsets your chance by issuing you a query. Perhaps
untimely death, desert business, lame breakthroughs have been your lot?

Or, as a man with signs of God's calling on your life, you notice that your
vision darkens with time and you are unable to see or hear anything. Or
there is 'prayer paralysis' at work or an evil diversion, with marks of hatred
upon, and good things are fizzling out of your life; or that your pockets are
leaking, people turn their back on you everywhere you go. You may have
also backslided as a believer. All these call for a thorough self-analysis to
enable you to determine if you are actually following your divine pattern or
have been dispatterned.
 SOLUTIONS
If you have been dispatterned, you have to go back to your original
pattern so that God can bless you. If you are not in that original pattern, you
are a 'photocopy', but God does not work on 'photocopies'. He works on
originals.

Many people are in the wrong jobs, doing the wrong things, going to the
wrong places, and yet keep claiming the blessings of Abraham. But the
question remains: Are they in the divine pattern? Are they going as
ordained by God or as household wickedness has patterned?

A troubled man was taken to a place noted for strong witchcraft in

Nigeria. The place was taken to be the last bus-stop for his problem.
However, there, the witches looked at him and said, "Well, the person in
charge of your case is your grandmother. Unfortunately, we can't help you
because whenever we have any problem and take it to your grandmother,
she solves it. So we are incapable of helping you." The man ran back to
Jesus.

But what should we do?

REPENT FROM ALL KNOWN SINS. The issue of repentance is a
serious matter. Perhaps we should do so every day.

ASK THE LORD TO SHOW YOU YOUR DIVINE PATTERN TO

ENABLE YOU TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE. For example, if you
are meant to excel as an air hostess but you engage in hair-care, you are
following the wrong pattern.

PRAY TO VOMIT ANY WITCHCRAFT PLANTATION IN YOUR

LIFE. For as long as the seed of witchcraft dwells in you, your life will
remain dispatterned.

PRAY TO LOCATE YOURSELF IN THE DIVINE PATTERN.

This is not an issue to belabour. The truth is that if each and every one of
us follows his or her divine pattern, nobody will be poor or lacking, or
without power and fire. But when we are out of our divine pattern, their will
always be problems.

This is why the greatest disaster that has ever befallen the blackman is
polygamy. When a man gathers together up to 21wives, it means he has got
under his roof the wives of other men, whereas God ordained just one for
him. When he has packed so many women together the one that God has
given him may even have been displaced. As he keeps jumping from one
bed to the other, the enemy rejoices.

We also need to pray evil pattern that may exist in our individual lives
out. We need to ponder these points:

This problem you must pray against, are you the only one having it in
your family? Where is your father? Is he dead or alive, and your mother,
too?

What sort of life are they living? What patterns have you noticed in their
lives? If they are dead, how did they die?

Think about all these so that you can say the appropriate prayers against
any evil pattern you may have noticed in your family.
By doing this self-analysis, you may discover that in the past your family
was very rich but suddenly became poor, and all the prosperous ones have
been killed.

Perhaps you come from a set-up where immediately they build a house,
the structure starts coming down.

How many husbands did your mother marry?

A curse was placed upon the head of Joab, that in his family, there must
always be a poor person, somebody who is paralysed, a leper, somebody
who must have an issue of blood and somebody who must die violently.

The enemy seeks to make all of us ignorant because he works better when
we don't know what he is doing in our lives. He has seen the original divine
pattern for your life and has purposed to dispattern it. This is no time to
negotiate with him.

PRAYER POINTS
1. O God, re-arrange my life by fire, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every inherited evil pattern in my life, be dismantled in the name of
Jesus.
3. Every pattern of darkness in my life, break in the name of Jesus.
4. Every evil family pattern, break, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every inherited evil pattern, break, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every witchcraft pattern for my life, break, in the name of Jesus.
7. O God arise and position me in my divine pattern, in the name of
Jesus.

RECOVERING YOUR ASSETS FROM
DESTROYERS

Recovery is one very essential aspect of spiritual warfare. You must take
cognisance of the fact that you were not born with the knowledge and the
ability to fight spiritual battles. Perhaps you started acquiring such
knowledge some years ago. Obviously some damage must have been done
before you were sensitised, taught and led into the nitty-gritty of warfare.

Even if you started fighting spiritual battles many years ago, you might
still have left something unaddressed. It is the problem of recovering what
has been stolen or plundered. Perhaps you are 30 or 40 years old at this
time. You must not lose sight of the fact that many of the assets which
belonged to you have been pilfered and carted away for a period of 30 or 40
years. If you neglect the past, thinking that you are starting on a clean slate,
you must be deceiving yourself.

For a very long time many of us have been deceived simply because we
lack knowledge of deliverance in spiritual warfare. For many years,
believers have been told, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature, old
things have passed away, all things have become new." Our teachers told us
to forget about the past as the new birth automatically cancelled every
bondage which was the product of our past. We were told that believers
were not supposed to subject themselves to anything called deliverance.
Such smooth theories were believed for a long time.

Now it has been observed that this idea has simply not worked. Those
who are wise are now seeking solutions to their problems after grappling
with many unanswered questions. Theoretical answers will not stand in the
face of tough life situations. Palliative measures in form of well-postulated
and soothing teachings will not solve or put an end to stubborn problems.
Many are now coming to terms with the fact that theories are insufficient;
we need practical solutions to chronic problems. The days of sweeping
problems under the carpet are over.

Today's believers are simply saying, "Enough is enough." If you listen to

the kind of heart-moving stories which I listen to every day, you will agree
with me that the days of radical changes are here. I believe that we are in
for lots of surprises - the days ahead will witness such breath-taking
changes in the attitudes of traditional, Pentecostal, orthodox or syncretic
churches.

None of us should be surprised when we witness these changes. What we

feel now does not really matter. The fact remains that many of our personal
goods and assets have been stolen and kept in the vault of the wicked one.
You are not going to be able to get to the apex of your career or reap
maximum benefits from your labour and efforts without taking steps that
are geared towards the total recovery and real possession of what was taken
from you. You will not know what it means to live life to the fullest and
explore all the possibilities that are at your disposal until you know what it
means to recover every lost asset.
Asset recovery is a task that must be carried out. To leave your assets in
the safe or the bank of the wicked one is to hoist the flag of your life at half-
mast. That way, you could end up becoming a fragmented personality.
Unfortunately, many of our friends, relatives and neighbours are 'half' or
'quarter' human beings. Those who are supposed to be multi-millionaires
and billionaires are paupers and beggars because their financial assets have
been held up in the devil's storehouse.

Many achievers and inventors are picking stones in the streets, because their
intellectual assets have been robbed and sold off for a pittance. Potential
industrialists or manufacturers are busy slaving for employers who are
nothing but hard taskmasters. Their own goodness has been stolen.

The problem of stolen assets account for a good percentage of what is

bedevilling the blackman today. If we can truly deal with this problem, we
will experience remarkable changes, men and women will possess their
possessions, kings will rule. Those who are ordained to become mighty
instruments in the hand of God will fulfil their ministries, and those who are
sentenced to perpetual bankruptcy will experience financial buoyancy.

Beloved, if God could open your eyes to the mass of stolen assets stacked
away in the warehouse of the devil, holy anger will stir up within you. You
will make up your mind to pursue, overtake and recover everything which
the devil ever stole from you. Of course, there will be testimonies galore
and the days of God's people will be likened to the days of heaven on earth.

There are so many things at the background of the average black person
pulling him back. God must have a purpose for your life which is, now
being thwarted by your family idols. When you by to move ahead, they get
in the way.

Perhaps you have prayed and God revealed to you that you are to fly like
an eagle but just as your eagle, was about to take off, a I strongman got in
the way to clip your wings and keep you grounded with the witchcraft they
have planted in your family. It doe snot matter whether you area pastor, a
priest, a sanctified, born again Christian, for as long as those evil
plantations remain within your family, even if you make heaven, you would
have lived a second-class existence.

Just think of it, how many blackmen have made any startling
achievement, compared to our population? The percentage is small. It is in
Africa that a single person embezzled so much money meant for so many
people, which he can hardly spend throughout his lifetime. This stems from
demonic possessions in our environment.

Should your lot constitute a part of the embezzled money, it means someone
has already swallowed it From where do you then reclaim your share? You
can only rely on God's benevolence.

We shall therefore read some passages from the Scripture:

1 Samuel 30:8: And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue
after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for
thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
 From the above verse, three things stand out: to pursue, overtake and
recover. Of course, when you do not pursue you cannot overtake, because
the enemy is not standing still, and you just have to run after him. And
when you pursue and consequently overtake, you recover that which has
been taken from you.

Psalm 18:37: I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither
did I turn again till they were consumed. It is the lot of champions to pursue
their enemies. This is the stand of the Scripture. Unfortunately, the reverse
is the case in present times. What Christians are supposed to pursue has
turned round to pursue them.

Psalm 126:l:When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were
like them that dream.

I have shared a testimony several times before about a brother who went
to school in Nigeria when the School Certificate there was a weighty
qualification. The fellow sat for seven subjects and had A1 in all. Thereafter
he sat for 'A' Level G. C. E. (Cambridge) and obtained 4A's. After this, he
travelled overseas and got a very good degree in Mathematics, after which
he returned to Nigeria. But he couldn't get a job for six years. Mind you,
this was a period when top companies went to the universities to recruit
students in their final years, and they never seemed to get enough. The jobs
were just there waiting to be taken up; yet our friend could not get anyone,
no matter how he roamed the streets.

One day, in the course of his job-hunting, he stumbled on a poster

announcing a coming crusade. He attended the crusade where the minister
spoke about Buried Virtues. This sounded rather strange a topic to our
friend. He listened attentively, all the same. After the message, the minister
asked all present at the crusade ground to stand apart from one another and
start praying: "All my buried virtues, be exhumed, in the name of Jesus."

Our applicant friend consequently joined others in this prayer and prayed
fervently. After a while he opened his eyes and saw an angel. Another
woman stood very close to him. The angel turned to the woman and said,
"Madam, release this man's (meaning the applicant's) virtue to him."
Thoroughly flustered, the woman stammered, "Y-e-s...I wish to release it
but...when I planted it here, there was no river here then but now there is a
river." The angel replied, "No one asked whether there was a river or not,
just bring out this young man's virtue."

All of a sudden, the woman screamed, "O yes, I've found it, I've found it,"
and brought out something like a wedding present and handed it over to this
brother. All this happened at the crusade ground. When the young man
stretched out his hand to receive the item, he was surprised at the weight.
After the crusade he went home.

The next morning, as he stepped out into the street, to go job-hunting

again, somebody parked a car by his side and called his name. The occupant
of the car turned out to be the person he taught mathematics in the
secondary school, a hopeless dullard in those days. The fellow greeted our
friend excitedly asking after his welfare. Their talk soon got round to the
applicant's work and he told his former student he had nothing by way of
work. The man was surprised.

In his student days, if asked to answer four out of seven questions, he

would answer the four questions all right but would still go ahead to answer
the remaining three on the margin just to demonstrate his brilliance. Which
means the enemy never minded his brilliance, his Cambridge education and
good degree. He made all these useless for the man.

After listening to his story, the man invited his former teacher to meet his
boss. When they met the boss he asked the jobless man a question: "You
mean you obtained this fine degree from Cambridge and yet couldn't get a
job?" The man said yes.

The boss thought for a while and then asked the job-seeker, "Now, when
would you like to start work?" Amazed, the man stammered, "As. . . as. . .
as. . . po-ssi-ble, sir." The boss looked straight into his eyes and told him:
"Well, you have started."

To top it up, he was given a free choice of a car and any kind of
accommodation he liked.
 In one day, the brother got all he had sought for so many years, all that
had been demonically stolen from him, and after a woman had been ordered
to release his virtues to him?

Now, beloved, when your mission is stolen, that very purposes for which
you were created, your destiny is buried. Many people are ignorant of their
purpose on earth, just because it has been buried. When your seed is
destroyed, your harvest is unrealisable.

When your goal is swallowed, your achievement itself is buried. When

your soul is stolen, the totality of your being is buried. Mark this fact:
unless there is a contest no winner emerges. Unless you pursue, you cannot
overtake. Prayers cannot be answered until they are said.

THE LOCATION OF SATANIC BANK

Many things have been stolen from the blackman and kept in evil banks.
The resources of so many people in the world are stored in various satanic
banks. But where are these banks located? They are in seven locations.

THE SECOND HEAVEN ABOVE US. This is actually where people's

blood is stored.
THE ATMOSPHERE AROUND THE EARTH. A man's destiny can
float around this space. The enemy has made drifters of so many men and
women who don't seem to be able to hold down a job or career, or a
husband or wife. And the more the person drifts from place to place the
more satanic magnets he or she distributes all over the place;

EVIL TREES. Even in our local setting, we often come across trees
around which white cloths are tied and are labelled sacred. I have witnessed
witches confessing that they hold their meetings inside such trees. When a
witch took us there, I asked if I could enter into the tree but the witch said
no. Items kept in these trees, range from underwear to money and wedding
rings belonging to different people.
 ROCKS. A look round all rocky cities reveal nothing but poverty as the
virtues of these cities have been buried inside the rocks by the demons from
those rocks.

WATER.

THE EARTH. A lot of virtues are buried deep inside the earth.

HUMAN BEINGS CAN TAKE A PERSON'S VIRTUE AMD PUT IT

INSIDE ANOTHER PERSON'S BODY. Thus, diverting one's destiny to
another person.

The devil is a great evil being. There is no goodness in him at all, just as
there is no evil in God. Our God is altogether good. The devil is altogether
bad. Even when he gives a person money, the beneficiary is sure to vomit it
with interest. Jesus has nothing good to say about the devil. He said, "The
devil has come to steal, to kill and to destroy;" to take away every good
thing God intends for us to possess. He has stolen so much from many
people. For many years, he has taken from God's children much of what our
heavenly Father has meant for us to enjoy. This is very sad. If I knew what I
know now about eight years ago, I am sure I would have been better than
what I am now.

What I am talking about is that a lot of people have been to so many

churches in their lifetime. If they knew what they now know they would
certainly have been far well-off, because, one way or the other, far back in
their lives, they must have listened to the devil, with regrettable
consequences. If they had known better then, they would have scoffed at the
devil.

If Job knew that it was the devil that was fighting him, his trials would
not have lasted a day. But he never knew; he thought it was God. His
friends thought it was his sin. And while their ignorance lasted, his
suffering intensified and the devil enjoyed himself. The devil is the most
successful thief in the whole universe. He may not be interested in stealing
your television set, but he is bent on stealing your eyes with which you
watch that television. The devil steals joy, families, children, health, careers,
money, prosperity, husbands, wives, indeed everything.
 It is sad but true that many of the inheritances of so many people are
locked up in satanic banks and are used in financing the kingdom of
darkness instead of financing the kingdom of God. For too long Satan and
his demons have robbed the children of God, diminishing the qualities of
their lives, taking the lion's share of their assets and possessions. These
have to be recovered. Are you ready to recover your stolen assets from the
devil?

Once we have identified someone as a thief we should be alert to so many

evil things that he can do. He may decide to visit you when you are not at
home, he can decide to tell lies, he can be a very eloquent deceiver.

All these tricks come from the storehouse of the devil. With this, we
should be able to see that there is a fierce battle going on. The battle is,
indeed, far fiercer than most people think. The devil is bent on undoing
believers. This is the reason the Bible says that Jesus came to undo the work
of the devil.

The enemy is out to destroy destinies and his most lethal weapon is sin.
So, with all our might, we must fight against that destiny destroyer called
sin. There is what is known as 'the sting of death'. Its other name is sin.
There is what is known as the 'trinity of destruction', these are sin, death and
hell. Sin kills a person; death reaps the person like a harvest while hellfire is
the bank of iniquity that will keep the person in its bosom. The Bible says
that hellfire has now been expanded.

There is also what is known as 'the circle of sin'. When a person commits
fornication he automatically collects a demon from one person and then
transfers it to another person who in turn transfers it to someone else, and so
the circle of sin continues. Another example is when a person commits
adultery and gives birth to a bastard, who later becomes a criminal and goes
ahead to rape another person, thus the circle of sin grows.

Or, if someone commits fornication and aborts the resultant pregnancy

and is afterwards possessed by the spirit of abortion and goes on to become
a prostitute. Another person commits fornication and contacts a disease,
which harasses his or her life and later spreads it around. All these extend
the circle of sin. Take any other sin and you will realise that the
consequence is death and that it operates like a circle.

For instance, if you are an alcoholic, you get drunk and misbehave. The
person toward whom you misbehave reacts angrily, and the circle of sin
continues. With this, the world gets trapped in the satanic network of sin,
which leads to death. This circle of death is highly organised to sustain the
reign of Satan. So, where sin reigns, death looms very large, evil gets
established and demons thrive. If you wish to destroy destroyers and
recover your stolen assets, you must turn away from sin. Carry out regular
self-examination.

THE LOCAL DESTROYER

Who are these local destroyers? Who are the satanic bankers? What are
those powers banking the virtues of the black man? Why is it, as I
mentioned at the beginning of this message, that when we try to move
ahead, some evil forces always get in the way? These evil forces operate or
exist in various categories.

LOCAL BANKER DESTROYERS. These are demon gods. They are

present in all tribes in this country. They have their tribal names which are,
unfortunately, often added to the names we bear. In some places this has
been taken to be the norm. If one's father or grandfather has not worshipped
any of these idols, he must have dropped from the sky.

These evil forces rule over the affairs of men, with terrible consequences.
Men worship, consult or reverence them or use them against one another,
and they demand worship too. If they are not worshipped, they protest and
when they do, their priests are consulted who tell us what and what the idols
required.

In fact, many of the deliverance problems we deal with sometimes

originate from such dastardly situations but another problem is that quite a
large number of the victims seek deliverance rather late. The idols have
their secret places of worship, shrines that may be located in family
compounds, groves, or bedrooms.
 Some even transported from the worshippers' villages down to cities
centres, like Lagos. Some who attend church regularly still resort to them
whenever they feel solution to their problems is not coming as fast as they
would have loved. One can only sympathise with this category of
Christians, because a day shall come when those idols will slap them on one
cheek and Jesus Christ will slap them on the other, because they are neither
here nor there!

Idols are powers holding the blackman down, keeping him in captivity
and intimidating him. Often a whole people and nation come under their
captivity. Any development efforts they embarked upon are preceded with a
sacrifice to these gods. And such sacrifices are not guarantees that the
development would be allowed to take place after all.

THE STRONGMAN. As revealed by Jesus in Luke 11:22, the

strongman is the demon assigned to a person, a place, a scene, a family, a
community. He is armed with offensive weapons like axe to ward off any
potential invader and capture preys.

The strongman would rob people of their health, their sight, and speech
and oppress them and deprive them of abundant life. We must bear in mind
that there is a difference between the strongman and the demon god. The
strongman demands no worship; he is just a wicked spirit assigned to deal
with an individual.

When the strongman in a person's life turns out to be his or her spirit
spouse the person is finished, unless he or she can pray. Being the person's
strongman and spirit spouse at the same time invests him with special
power to disrupt everything about such a person -business, marriage,
everything!

The strongman steals precious commodities from people: their potentials,

job, peace. He can slice off a portion of a woman's womb or a human soul.
The strongman can steal body parts like legs, arms, ears, etc. and render the
victim sick or blind and put him or her in a position of poverty. As all that
the victim requires to live a worthwhile existence is taken over by him, and
he would not be willing to release them.
 The strongman holds his captives down and watches over them the way a
security man watches property entrusted to him. Thank God, they can be
overpowered, disarmed, dislodged and the stolen valuables in their
possession recovered and the captives set free, by the finger of God!

During a sister's wedding reception, her mother-in-law gave her the

following rules:

"I, your mother-in-law, shall be wife No. 1 and you, the junior wife. Do you
understand?" Amazed, the innocent bride asked the old woman what she
meant by this, but the woman went ahead to give the other rules thus:
i. "You should move only where I want you to move."
ii. "Immediately you get into your husband's house, I shall live with you for
at least two years."

The sister thought all these were a joke until a week after their marriage,
when she lost the use of her two legs. The mother-in-law was already
staying and living with them until the new wife prayed one day and the
strongman was dislodged.

SERPENTS AND SCORPIONS. These represent satan's most demonic

ground forces. They include familiar spirits and demon spirits that roam the
earth. Their weapons are their mouth and tail. They capture men by sex.
They poison to kill; they sting to torment people.

They are responsible for inflicting sicknesses, diseases and afflictions.

Sometimes when we pray very well, we can see them in our visions. These
ground forces possess people and sometimes camouflage as human beings
to strike the unsaved and, of course, saints who have broken the hedge.

When people attend the school of deliverance, one of the first lessons they
lean is that anger is a gateman at the door so that he assists in widening the
opening for all manners of ailments to set in - high blood pressure, ulcers,
poverty, etc. And after all these have successfully lodged in a person's body,
he is calm and ignorant of the afflictions he has admitted into his life.

THE WILD BEASTS. These are otherwise called 'the spoilers of the
vine'. They are evil spirits that do not necessarily possess anyone. All they
to do is trail people and associate with them. They are destroyers,
devourers, looters and killers. They do not always like to lose their ground
and are always armed. They can go from family to family. They kill and
perform all kinds of terrible assignments.

Psalm 91 talks about lions and the adders. They are ever present in our
midst. They influence some of the human beings around us who, when they
get into fits of temper, amaze us and make us wonder whether they are
human beings. We can see the beast in a 40-year-old who raped a four-
month-old baby.

FOWLERS. These are hunters of birds who can also capture men's souls.

At a Power Must Change Hands service, I explained what the dove and
the eagle of a man's life mean. The fowlers can cage a person's eagle. This
was the situation with the brother whose predicament was recounted earlier
on. The dove of his life was captured and put in a calabash, and was buried
to form a covenant with the earth not to release it. But when the man smote
the ground, in the name which is above all names, the earth had no option
but to release his stolen virtues.
OPPRESSORS. The Bible says that Jesus healed all those that satan
oppressed. Satan is the oppressor.

CAPTORS. Luke 13 says that satan bound a woman for 18 years.

As you read on, the Lord shall release you from your tormentors. You will
pursue, overtake and recover your assets from them. But, first, sin must
depart from your life. You must not break down your hedge. The Bible says,
"He that breaketh a hedge a serpent shall bite him." Satan is that serpent.

If a person desires to be a champion but has foundational cage, he would

remain stymied by a simple demonic decree and verdict: sit down there.

A lot of people have their virtues overseas but they are here, ignorant of
where the airport is! A man who aspires to become an accountant but can't
get his figures together and get the correct sum has probably had his virtues
stolen; so also is the aspiring pilot who is unable to get his mathematics
right.

This is the reason a person who lacks Jesus Christ in his life but
stubbornly pursues his goals is easily eliminated by the powerful forces he
struggles against. And as he mourns, people are ignorant of that he has to be
eliminated so that those around are held in perpetual penury and misery.

When satan rebelled in heaven and was thrown down to earth he called
his committee members together to plan the next move. Adam became their
easy target. They deceived and dispossessed him of the good things God
had planned for him to enjoy in the Garden of Eden. All the power with
which Adam crossed rivers without boats, and the authority with which he
commanded lions and elephants to do his bidding, were withdrawn from
him in an instant when he allowed satan to lure him into disobedience
against God.

Since then most of the things over which man was given dominion have
terrorised him. And the kingdom of satan has grown, as he has succeeded in
planting his agents in the heavenlies, in the seas and in our environments, to
establish an idolatry our system of government. There is hardly any nation
in the world where idolatry is not practised. God hates idolatry with perfect
hatred. So the facts that our forefathers ignorantly served idols and we too
ignorantly follow suit, do not set us free from the evil consequences.

TORMENTORS. In the parable of the unforgiving servant, the wicked

servant failed to forgive and, because of this, he was handed over to those
forces called tormentors. These are also evil bankers.

POWERS THAT WIN CAPTIVES. These are the powers that go about
to win captives for satan.

POWER OF BACKSLIDING. If a person who was once on fire for God

suddenly cools off, evil bankers move in and remove his assets.

THE MIGHTY AND THE TERRIBLE. In Isaiah 49:24-25, we are

asked:
 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
"But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken
away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with
him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

WOLVES. In Luke 10:3, Jesus talked about wolves: "Go your ways:
behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves."

Here, Jesus was referring to believers as lambs whom He has sent among
wolves, who are evil bankers, too.

PRISONERS OF IMPRISONMENT BY SATAN HIMSELF. Satan

himself imprisons certain things, apart from those imprisoned by his agents.
In Isaiah 14:17, we read: "That made the world as a wilderness, and
destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners."

Some people are very dangerous to satan that whatever is stolen from
them is put in satan's custody himself. Satan fears that if such people are
released something will go wrong in his camp. For this reason, some times,
people get very good examination results, but are unable to enter a higher
institution for three or four years. Satan stagnant their academics progress.
THE STRONGHOLDS. 2 Corinthians 10:3 says, "For though we walk
in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare
are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds."

The stronghold is used for two purposes: to conceal the things that have
been stolen, and prevent the victim from being rescued. When some people
are told where they could get deliverance from their problems, they
stubbornly refuse to go there. The second purpose is to protect the enemy
from invaders. This is possible where a particular thing you pray for has
been stored in the stronghold. As long as you keep praying ordinary prayers
for that thing, the stronghold will keep repelling your prayers, until you say
prayers that pull down strongholds.

THE PRISON WARDERS OF SATAN. These are the ones who put
chains and fetters on people. They bind people with sinful habits and
strange curses and get them under the shadow of death.
 THE BANDS OF AFFLICTIONS. These use sicknesses, diseases and
poverty to afflict people and tie them down.

THE SPIRITUAL VEILS. These veils used by the enemy are in the
form of ignorance and false doctrines.

THE SNARES. These are all over the place. If you are careless and are
caught by them, only God can get you out.

THE OFFENSIVES. The enemy uses these to launch attacks on their

targets. Psalm 91 and Ephesians 6 provide enough information on the
enemy's offensive weapons. There are the 'terrors of the night', 'destruction
by noonday', 'plagues moving in darkness', 'arrows that fly by day' as well
as the 'fiery darts of the enemy.' All these are satan's weapons of
destruction, used to afflict and kill people.

Many have received cuts and visitations from these satanic I offensives in
their sleep, dream and in some cases while they are awake.

No doubt, even as you are reading this, souls are being lost. Virtues,
treasures, valuables, glories, wealth, assets, marriages, body parts,
prospects, blessings, spiritual gifts and businesses have been stolen by Satan
and his agents. The power to prosper or succeed, as well as joy and peace
have been stolen by the enemy from many and put in his bags. We need to
recover our assets.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO RECOVER THESE

THINGS?
DETERMINATION. We must be determined like blind Bartimaeus, who
when he heard that Jesus was going to pass by determined to regain his
sight. He positioned himself so that Jesus would be able to do something
about his predicament.

WE MUST HAVE DIRECTION. This entails having a clear idea of

what we want from God. Bartimaeus focussed his attention on the Lord,
disregarding what people said or thought about him. He wanted Jesus to
restore his sight.

DESIRE. This means deciding what we want and resolving to get it.

DECLARATION OF WAR AND PRAYER TO GET FROM THE

CAMP OF THE ENEMY THAT WHICH BELONGS TO US. If you
have been praying for many years and the enemy still holds on to your
assets, it may be due to:

Ignorance. This is a state where you don't know what to pray or where to
go, or what to do about your problems.

Most people are not spiritually prepared to contend with the enemy.

Failure to deal with internal garbage. This state harbours evil spirits and
the more you pray the more you get punished by the enemy.

Some people have decided to keep their demons. The enemy uses this to
eat deep into them. Typical are those who for the fear of fasting, shy away
from deliverance sessions.

Unconfessed sins. If you have cleverly concealed certain sins, they will
hinder you from your breakthrough, and the enemy will keep locking it in
his compound.

Ungodly soul-ties. Once these are in place, failure to break ungodly soul-
ties causes trouble.

Hypocrisy. When a hypocrite comes to church, the devil can see him
clearly. You have to be serious with the Lord and never approach Him half-
heartedly, lest He should handle your own affair, half-heartedly.

The surest way to get the enemy to release our stolen assets is through
prayer. If the enemy is hiding your material in the bank and instead of
prayer you apply his method to confront him, he may give you what he
thinks has been stolen from you, then steal another thing from you.
 It is like a brother who realised that he had become impotent and ran to a
prophetess for help. The prophetess agreed to help him but on the condition
that he would marry her upon regaining his potency.

Mind you, the young man was just 27 while the prophetess was 52. The
brother thought he was a very smart fellow. He agreed to the woman's
request. She went into the bank and said, "Lucifer, I have a captive for you
down here, release his manhood." As requested, satan gave back the
fellow's manhood and he regained his potency.

Immediately the young man felt he had regained his manhood, he bolted
away. But that was the beginning of his end. The prophetess sent a
messenger after him to tell him not to run, that he had collected tuberculosis
which would kill him. The young man died about three years ago - of
tuberculosis!

Going to the devil to collect something is like engaging in primitive trade

by barter, which the devil specialises in.

There is hardly any family where one idol or the other is not worshipped.
The present generation of a family may have thrown it away but if we go
back four generations we shall discover they worshipped idols to which
they dedicated their offspring. Some people lost their virtues before they
were born.

Prayer will transform your situation, especially when said along the
following lines.

PRAYER POINTS
1. (Lay your right hand on your head:) I command deliverance from the
spirit of idols upon my head, in the name of Jesus.
2. You witchcraft powers, carry your load, in the name of Jesus.
3. (Lay your hand close to your navel:) Any idol worshipped in my
family, O God arise, and let them be scattered, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every idol in my family, release my assets, in the name of Jesus.
 5. Any sacrifice that has been used to gain access to my life, I dismantle
you by fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. Stubborn strongman, receive madness, in the name of Jesus.
7. You strongman in charge of (whatever it may be), die, in the name of
Jesus.
8. I pursue and overtake every serpent and scorpion, in the name of Jesus.
9. You serpents and scorpions, release my blessings, in the name of Jesus.
10. Every wild beast in the garden of my life, die in the name of Jesus.
11. I seek deliverance from the bands of the mighty and the terrible, in the
name of Jesus.
12. I recover my virtues from the mighty and the terrible, in the name of
Jesus.
13. I receive deliverance from the hands of the mighty and the terrible, and
recover my virtues from their hands, in the name of Jesus.
14. Every consequence of family idol worship in my life, break, in the
name of Jesus.
15. Every consequence of family marine worship in my life, break, in the
name of Jesus.
16. Every consequence of parental mistake in my life, break, in the name
of Jesus.
17. Every consequence of family witchcraft upon my life, break, in the
name of Jesus.
18. I pursue, I overtake the strongman, in the name of Jesus.
19. You stubborn strongman, release my assets, in the name of Jesus.
20. I pursue and overtake every family strongman, in the name of Jesus.
21. (Point your finger to the heavenlies and shout:) Satanic bond to the
heavenlies, release my virtues, in the name of Jesus.
22. I shall arise by fire from every bondage, in the name of Jesus.
23. Every evil rope pulling me away from my divine destiny, break, in the
name of Jesus.

HOLY VIOLENCE

You cannot really enjoy your life on earth except you apply some measure
of force or violence. Gad gives miracles with ease but the process of
receiving it is quite different.

A lily-livered Christian will have his goods and blessings plundered by

dark forces. You cannot reach your highest potentials without applying
aggression. Some stubborn enemies will not budge until they are beaten
black and blue; then they will let loose their victims and release what they
have stolen. In these end times, only those who are violent will know what
it means to get the best out of life.

Gentleness will not do in this regard. There is nothing like a soft soldier,
all soldiers apply force. Therefore, if you want to be a winner in the end-
time battle and be a partaker in the end-time revival, you must learn and
apply the principles of holy violence.

The devil with whom we are contending is violent to the core. He is by no

means gentle; therefore, to come against him with levity is to earn defeat
before the battle begins. What do you think will happen if a featherweight
amateur boxer should enter the ring to fight with a world heavyweight
champion? The featherweight would be finished in the first round.

The responsible thing to do is to meet the enemy's force with equal

aggression. Your own force must be stronger than that of the enemy if you
must win. If you have been observant, you would have discovered that the
devil seems to have introduced a new dimension of force in recent times.
How then do we tame him? We must make holy violence our watchword
and lifestyle.

Smith Wigglesworth, a 19th century spiritual giant, once narrated the

story of a particular woman and her dog. One day, the woman left her house
without knowing that her pet dog was trailing her. Somehow, she looked
back and saw the dog wagging its tail. She gently ordered the dog, "Go
back home." Her soft order fell on the dog's deaf ears.

After trekking a little distance, she looked back again only to discover
that the dog was still trailing her. She was surprised. By the time she got to
the tube station, she knew that the dog was bent on following her wherever
she was going. Then it dawned on her that she needed to apply a great deal
of force on her dog. She roared at the dog, "Go back!" Then, immediately,
the dog ran back home.

Smith Wigglesworth was at the bus stop at that time. He looked at the
woman who happened to be a member of his church and came up with a
brilliant statement: "That is exactly how to deal with the devil: yell at him
and he will turn back."

We can draw an important lesson from this illustration. If you speak to the
devil in a soft tone, he will not budge, but if there is a measure of force and
aggression in your tone, he will obey your order.

Spiritual violence is an indispensable weapon for all winners in this end-

time. The kind of violence we refer to here is not physical in nature, it is
spiritual. This explains why the Bible says, ". . .not by power, nor by might,
but by my Spirit, saith the Lord." If you apply physical violence against
those whom you perceive to be your enemies, they will simply go
underground and do some havoc against you.

Aggression or force is needed only in the realm of the spirit. Therefore,

when we talk of holy violence, we are talking about prayers that are
characterised by aggression. The kind of prayers which we offer at the
MFM are not for juniors in the school of prayer. Yes, we put all our energy
into praying because we take prayer as a battle.

In physical warfare the more you pound and bombard the enemy's
territory, the more you defeat him. Some people wonder why we view
prayers as a do-or-die affair.
 It is because our survival and victory depend on it. We are obeying the
uniform teaching of the Scriptures and the consistent declaration of all
enlightened saints in the school of prayer.

The topic of this message is a key doctrine in the word of God.

Depending on choice, it may also be variously called "Miracle by force."

In Matthew 11:12, we read; "a And from the days of John the Baptist until
now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by
force."

If the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence from the days of John the
Baptist, it means that certain things had been going on before then.

Perhaps, until then, this type of violence the Bible talks about was not
required; but right from the days of John until now, ". . .the kingdom of
heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force." According to
verse 18, "John the Baptist came neither eating nor drinking, and they said,
He has a demon." He must have taken a look at the spiritual realm, that is,
what was happening in the world of the spirit, and condemned the gluttony
prevailing in that generation. And he possibly refrained from taking proper
food himself, hence the Bibles says, "...from the days of John the Baptist,
the kingdom of God suffereth violence." Which indicates that he was a
violent man.

From Abraham to John the Baptist the kingdom was given to only one
nation, the nation of Israel. But immediately John the Baptist came onto the
scene, people began to stream in. John the Baptist was a spiritually violent
person who called the people 'a generation of vipers'. Those people could
not have been happy, but that was just the kind of man John the Baptist was.
He said, "The axe is laid on the root of every tree" so that if it did not yield
any good fruit, it should be cut down and thrown into the fire.

WHAT IS VIOLENCE?
VIOLENCE MEANS EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT
CONCENTRATION. The problem with most of us in prayer is lack of
concentration. The reason some people are called prayer warriors is that
they are able to focus their attention on an object in prayer over a long time
without distraction.

A person must be violent in the spirit to be able to do this. It is for this

reason that one of the greatest enemies in prayer is lack of concentration.
When men and women pray with concentration they see visions. People
with wandering minds can achieve nothing.

IT MEANS GREAT POWER.

IT MEANS FORCEFUL ACTIVITY.

IT MEANS GREAT DAMAGING FORCE.

IT MEANS INTENSE OR SEVERE ACTION.

IT MEANS GREAT FORCE.

IT MEANS HIGHLY EXCITED ACTION.

IT MEANS FURY

IT MEANS FIERCENESS.

IT MEANS RAGE OR RAMPAGE.

IT MEANS MADNESS OR CRAZINESS.

IT MEANS EXPLOSION.

IT MEANS STORMINESS.

A man does not necessarily have to jump up and down to be seen as

violent. He may not need to open his mouth. Jesus was the meekest man
ever to walk the face of the earth, yet He was the most violent man in
history.

The Bible describes Moses as a very weak man, yet he was one of the
most violent men in history. With just his rod he took the kingdom of Egypt
from the king and temporarily became a king himself, deciding how the
Egyptians were to live their lives.

So, from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of God has
suffered violence, making it necessary for the violent to take it by force.

A professor once came for prayers in our church. In the department where
he worked at the university, he was the only one who had to jump-start his
car. For this reason, he came to work very early so he could park his car on
a slope and wedge the wheel with a stone.

When he wanted to get away at the close of work, all he had to do was
hold the car door open, remove the stone, quickly jump into the car and
jump-start it. Other professors had at least two cars each. That mode of
starting his car worked well for the professor for only a while.

As he removed the stone from the wheel one hot afternoon and jumped
inside the car his coat was caught in the door. With one leg inside the car
and the other outside, the car rolled down the slope, pulling him along until
it crashed into a tree. Thankfully, he was not injured. However, after that
incident he decided to seek spiritual assistance.
When he came to our church, the minister asked him to stand on a spot
and start praying. While he was praying, God opened his spiritual eyes to
see a bundle of rags. He prayed for this to be removed off him. But his
efforts at praying were, at best, feeble and ineffectual. He was still praying
when an angel of God appeared before him, and looked at him with utter
disdain.

As he continued praying, he found that rather than being relieved of the

bundle of rags, the burden doubled up. When he complained aloud to the
angel, the angel replied that if he was serious, he should pray with violence,
whereupon he changed his countenance and get violent.

Watching from the distance we observed that the tone of his prayer
suddenly became violent and soon after we heard his saying, with relieve,
"Thank You, Jesus; thank You, Father." Then we knew what had happened:
the angel of God had nudged him into a violent prayer and his burden had
been removed.

This reminds me of Jesus in the boat: When He said, "Let us move over
onto the other side," He was giving a divine direction sanctioned by God.
They were not operating outside the will of God, yet that divine will was
violently opposed by waves, storms and wind.

Peter and the other men were undoubtedly good fishermen who had been
at the sea for several years, so they were versed in handling situations like
this. They struggled. But while they waited for Jesus Christ to move in that
desperate hour, He himself waited for them to move in prayers and
supplication so He could move on their behalf. The waiting game continued
on both sides. With time water entered into the boat and the boat started
sinking.

As things got worse, a debate ensued as to why a storm should be

developed at the sea while the Son of God was inside the boat. "Perhaps,"
some reasoned, "the storm was sent by God?" The struggle continued, with
men scooping water out of the boat to save it from sinking. As the efforts
became more and more fruitless, someone, suggested that Jesus be
contacted for assistance. It was only then that Jesus rose up.

If the men called upon Jesus earlier the Saviour would have arisen earlier
to save them from battling the storm with their own energy. As they applied
their intellect to the situation, the Lord did not say, "Okay, I'd help you."
They kept battling unsuccessfully until things got out of hand.

Likewise, Joseph told the children of Israel who were in the land of
Egypt, "I know that God will visit you in this place. Anytime you want to
live here, do not allow my bones to stay here," So, when the children of
Israel left Egypt, they took with the coffin of Joseph and carried it through
the wilderness. That coffin was enough evidence that they must reach the
Promised Land, but they left behind the bones of Joseph.

At last Jesus rebuked the wind and spoke to the sea, in two different
tongues. Before Jesus spoke, the wind had a field day. We may ask the
question: Why should the enemy have a field day? Interestingly, the sea of
Galilee has been one of the most quiet seas in the whole world. Since the
day Jesus spoke, the sea has remained quiet. May this be your lot also: All
the storms in your life shall cease, in the name of Jesus.

It must be clear to us that the spirit of witchcraft can never repent,

although the person harbouring it may repent. Demons have always defied
the armies of God and are not willing to make peace with God. Although
they knew they are bound for hell-fire, they are never ready to go without a
fight. It is their intention to take along as many people as they can. This is
why they told Jesus Christ, "What have you to do with us, Jesus Son of the
most high God? We do not disturb you, but only out to destroy lives. Have
you come to punish us before our time? We know whom you are."
Definitely, demons know that their end is at end but before then, they are
intent on destroying peoples' lives.

Evil spirits cannot reconcile with God; they will never agree to surrender
and will never be pacified. The only language they understand is violence
and total defeat. I shall give you an example.

I had a colleague, anytime he entered his office and sat in his chair
slumber would set in. All the pat ideas he had from home and planned to
execute in the office would fizzle away immediately after he drank his
favourite coffee. However, one day, he got to the office with anger directed
at the chair. He grabbed the chair and started praying for it as if it were a
human being. As he prayed, the prayer rocked the chair. As he prayed on
vigorously, an object dropped on the floor. When examined, it was an
amulet attached with Sellotape. Our friend opened it up and found his name
written in it in Arabic letters. Through this amulet, currents of fire were
being passed into his body.

Many a time, satanic agents prepare their fetish objects to carry out
satanic instructions or missions. So, whenever we come across such fetish
objects we must remember that we have a great weapon of spiritual
violence to counter it.

When a person is issuing incantations, he is engaging in three things:

He is issuing curses,
 He is giving satanic instructions,

He is summoning demons.

As a believer with adequate understanding of spiritual violence whoever

confronts you in this way is challenging you to use the very powerful
weapons in your hand.

A believer can wreak a lot of havoc on any juju or witchcraft practitioner,

or pronouncer of incantations. When a believer starts to say the prayer of
the Psalmist, "O Lord, smite the cheek-bones of those enchanting against
me," he will achieve the desired goal. Likewise, when he commands the
demons attached to a juju to turn against its owner, this demonstrates the
violence we are talking about.

"And from the days of John the Baptist, until now, the kingdom of God
suffereth violence and the violent take it by force. . ."

The violent expectation of the believer of old for something new to

happen in his life is what distinguishes him from present-day believers.
Early Pentecostal fathers were never daunted by prolonged dry fasts, nor
did they miss church services. They got to church two hours before the
service and began reading their Bible and praying. There was no time for
unnecessary jokes or chats; it was strictly business. The church was an army
barrack where prayers were never stopped until the jingling of the bell. That
was violence. Church was not regarded as a hospital as experienced these
days.

Early Pentecostal fathers' approach to spiritual matters was like that of the
man by the pool of Bethesda waiting for the Holy Spirit to stir the pool so
that he could step in.

By the pool of Bethesda were the multitude of blind, crippled and deaf
people who knew that the angels came down only once in a month to
trouble the water. Whoever wanted to jump into the water, therefore, could
not afford to sleep off but must be alert to jump inside whenever the angels
came.
 Whenever our early fathers got home, they continued praying. The Bible
was a favourite food for them. Apostle Babalola memorised Psalms 1 to
150. No wonder they were able to chase demons into the bush.

There are very many churches these days. But all one can see in most of
them are dead men at the pulpit, and dead men as deacons, elders, ushers,
choristers and controllers. It is, indeed, a very sad situation. We have our
sacrifices on the altar without any fire on it.

Before John the Baptist only the priest could go into the sanctuary but,
these days, everyone has access. John the Baptist was the dividing line
between the old and the new covenants. John the Baptist introduced the
privilege of the New Covenant to the people; and from his days until now,
the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force.

Jesus spent 30 years in training before he began to minister. John the

Baptist spent 30 years, too, in training before he began to minister. Apostle
Paul also spent 30 years, in training before he began to minister. Moses
spent 40 years in training before he began to minister. These days, people
expect to spend just six months in the Bible college and immediately after
to begin to perform wonders. This is impossible.

John the Baptist passed through a particular training; so also did Jesus
Christ. It is not the number of church services a believer attends or the
number of sermons he listens to that determines his spiritual power. A
believer's spiritual power depends on how long he spends with God in his
daily life.

John the Baptist had no elder brother to mould his life after. Someone like
Elisha had Elijah to follow. Joshua had Moses to follow. Timothy, too, had a
model in Paul. But John the Baptist had no one to follow.

The Yoruba people have a saying: "Pass me not, O Saviour, is not a

gentleman's song." This is because by the time the gentleman is busy
praying on his knees, the Saviour may have already gone.

There is no easy or gentle method of arresting anything bad. There is no

way of pacifying evil to cease its terror. Of course, no one writes a petition
against a witch on her human rights record, or pleads with her to drink less
blood. Miracles begin to happen only after we get spiritually violent. We
can readily point at three examples of violent men in the Bible. One of them
was Jacob. His life was in a serious mess. If God could deliver Jacob to the
extent that He is now called the God of Jacob, then there is nobody on earth
that is beyond redemption.

Jacob took his brother's birthright by deception. His name, means

'supplanter' or 'a twister'. He deceived his father to gain the old man's
blessing. While his brother trailed him all around, he escaped to Laban,
another deceptive and equally treacherous man. Laban changed his salary
ten times. When Jacob told him he wanted to marry, he said, ''No problem,"
but slotted the wrong wife in for Jacob at night. He made Jacob to serve
14yearsin slavery in order to marry two wives.

Jacob eventually discovered he was not going to get any wife. Laban's
place became uncomfortable for him: he could not return home where death
waited him at the hand of his hunter brother. Esau, who was still hunting for
revenge. Without doubt, Jacob was in a serious mess, running from Esau
whom he had cheated and now from Laban whom he had deceived. One
night, however, power changed hands. Jacob became violent. How did he
become violent?

This is explained in Hosea 12:4: "Yes, he had power over the angel, and
prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in
Bethel, and there he spake with us."

Jacob became violent in prayer and his name changed.

Another example is the woman of Canaan in Matthew 15:22-28:

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried
unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord thou Son of David; my
daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23But he answered her not a
word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for
she crieth after us. 24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the
lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25Then came she and worshipped him,
saying, Lord, help me. 26But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the
children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the
dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28Then Jesus
answered and said unto her, O woman. great is thy faith: be it unto thee
even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

What did that woman do? She got violent.

The same thing happened in the case of the woman with the issue of
blood. This woman's example was that of 'taketh it by force.' A lot of people
were pressing around Jesus but the woman remained undaunted, strong in
her faith that if she could just touch the Saviour's cloth, she would receive
her miracle. At last she was able to touch Jesus' cloth and was healed of her
ailment.

While most of us can use our tongue or pen to say and write terrible
things about others, we fail woefully when it comes to constructive spiritual
utterances. In Mark 10 we read about blind Bartimaeus who kept crying
unto Jesus. When his enemies tried to shout him down, Bartimaeus simply
kept shouting until Jesus stopped,.
In all these instances the people demonstrated violent determination.
While the children of the rich and the affluent steadily lost the kingdom the
desperate took it by force. That woman refused to be stopped and she
included herself by fire. The violent taketh it by force.

THE KEYS
What are the keys to taking the kingdom by force?

REPENTANCE. Many of us claim to be born again but consistently

display characters that are contrary to that of kingdom dwellers. We dress in
kingdom clothes, use kingdom language, portray kingdom symbols and our
acts are far from the principles taught by Jesus.

By their acts, many have given the kingdom of God a bad name and
continue to drive people away. When John the Baptist came, after 400 years
of divine silence during which God did not send any prophet, he was heard
screaming, "Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Repentance
was his cry.

VIOLENT FAITH. As we read about the woman with the issue of blood,
the blind Bartimaeus, the Canaanite woman and Jacob, we realise that
violent faith is required.

HOLY CRY. There are several holy cries in the Bible. When the children
of Israel cried out to the Lord, the Lord heard them. The Lord does not
reject any cry from the depth of the heart. Your cry is to cause God to
hearken to your supplication.

At Jericho, the children of Israel shouted out loud and the wall came
tumbling down. Before they started fighting, Gideon's army cried out loud
and then proceeded to fight. When Elisha, got stuck on the other side of
Jordan, he cried out, "Where is the Lord, God of Elijah?" And the God of
Elijah showed Himself.

By the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus raised His voice, "Lazarus, come forth."

Bartimaeus the blind cried and so did the Canaanite woman. Zerubabbel,
too, shouted on the mountain.

David said, "In the day that I cry, shall my enemies turn back. This I
know for God is with me." And anytime the Israelites were ready to move
forward in the wilderness, as the Ark of the Covenant led the way, thy
shouted, "Let God arise and let all His enemies scatter."

VIOLENT PRAYER. Or what we call bullet prayer. This is a specific

type of prayer. It is for this reason that when Jesus met Bartimaeus, He said,
"What do you want me to do for you?" The man specifically asked for his
sight to be restored and he received it.

DETERMINATION. When you are determined things will start to

happen.

DESPERATION. When desperation sets in progress starts.

 PRAISES. There is no soul that has ever cried unto God and was
disappointed.

All the violent prayers raised at the throne of heaven have always
received answers.

There is a particular story I have told several times before and, for the
sake of this topic, I shall repeat it here. Three men rode in a vehicle that was
involved in terrible accident. One of the occupant.. attended Cambridge
University in the U. K., the second one studied at the Harvard University
which is one of the best universities in the United States. The third man
went to Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone. They were all badly injured
and taken to the hospital.

It was the Cambridge man who first started to talk. "Doctor," he muttered
in his Queen's English, "I am not feeling too well."

The American man spoke next. "Babe," he said to the nurse on duty,
"treat me quickly."

The man from Fourah Bay, raised his voice and shouted, "Doctor, . . ."
with this type of cry it was apparent who would get attention first.
God is exactly like this. Those who leisurely followed Jesus about
received no miracle but Bartimeaus the blind who cried out immediately
received his miracle from Jesus the physician.

PRAYER POINTS
1. I refuse to be excluded from my breakthrough; I include myself by
fire, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every wicked power roaming about unchallenged in my life, die by
fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Let the field day of my enemy close now, in the name of Jesus.
4. I destroy the armour protecting the strongman in my life, in the name
of Jesus.
 5. You familiar spirits in my family, I break your backbone, in the name
of Jesus.
6. All witchcraft masquerades, I stand in your midst by the blood of
Jesus, and set you ablaze, in the name of Jesus.
7. All my sacrifices that lay unburnt on the altar of God, receive fire now,
in the name of Jesus.
8. Every witchcraft power sitting on my destiny, I overthrow you
violently, in the name of Jesus.
9. Every problem in my life, I arrest you from the root, in the name of
Jesus.
10. The eagle of my destiny, fly in the name of Jesus.
11. Every curse working against my breakthrough, break, in the name of
Jesus.
12. O God, arise and lead me to those who will bless me, in the name of
Jesus.
13. Woe unto every agent of poverty pursing my life, in the name of Jesus.
14. Every serpent and scorpion of demotion, die in the name of Jesus.
15. (Stretch forward your two hands:) Let the riches of the ungodly be
transferred onto me, in the name of Jesus.
16. You powers of the night, if you say you'd not leave me alone, then
sleep the sleep of death, in the name of Jesus.

LAWS OF CONFRONTATION

We are involved in a confrontation with the evil one. As we get involved

with spiritual warfare, we must be conscious of the fact that there are laws
of confrontation to adhere to. Mastery over these laws will grant us A
resounding victory. Conversely, ignorance of these laws will earn defeat,
failure and untold suffering from the hands of the wicked one.

In the military people receive strenuous training in discipline and operate

under stringent laws which they must obey or get fired. Laws of
confrontation would guide the Christian in spiritual soldering.

A well-trained spiritual solider, who adheres to the rules of the game, will
experience victory during every spiritual battle. There are set rules for
spiritual warfare. These laws are respected in heaven, on earth and in hell.
Those who break the laws are losers, while those who keep them are
winners. Many people have lost out in life's battles as a result of negligence
of these rules. Those who adhere to scriptural principles will get scriptural
results. What you sow is what you reap.

If you take steps that are in accordance with the laws of spiritual warfare,
you will achieve corresponding results. Therefore, you must make up your
mind to learn and apply the laws of confrontation.

WHY CONFRONTATION?
You may ask, Why confrontation?

Whichever way you look at it, everyone is involved in one confrontation

or the other. The devil is not your friend; he is your enemy. He hates you
with perfect hatred. He is hell-bent on depriving you of every good spiritual
benefit. That is why he is confronting you on all fronts.
 What is the purpose of confrontation, dominion or conquest? You
confront to conquer. You fight to dominate or conquer. Since you know that
the devil is out to confront you, you must also vow to give him a tough
fight. You must match him fm for fire, battle for battle and bullet for bullet.
If the devil will not allow you rest, you too must give him no rest. If he is
going to collide with you, you too must confront him.

Confrontation is characterised by force. It is no task carried out by

gentlemen, or jelly-fish Christians. Demons and other agents are stubborn
and recalcitrant. It takes force to confront them.

LAWS OF CONFRONTATION
Just as spiritual confrontation is desirable there are laws that govern it. In
handling this important topic, we shall be guided by Matthew 11:12, which
says:

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven
suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

There is a war going on between the forces of good and forces of

darkness in the life of every child of God. We must come to grips with this
fact. The devil is at the mot of every problem bedevilling mankind today.
We have a mission: to confront the oppressor. However, we must never
forget that the oppressor does not grant freedom – it must be demanded by
the oppressed, and backed up with force. we must forcefully snatch the
captive of his grip.

No wonder the Bible says, ". . . the kingdom of God suffereth violence
and the violent people, after they have received the anointing to be violent,
will need to violently take it again." This means we can afford to be violent,
but take no action. In other words, when we become violent in the spirit we
can then take what belongs to us.

The devil does not grant freedom. As far as he is concerned, there is

nothing called liberty.
 The Bible says:

Isaiah 14:16-17: They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and
consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did
shake kingdoms; 12That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the
cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

In the last part of the above passage, God addresses satan as one who does
not open his prison gates for his prisoners to set them free. So if there is
ever a prison yard whose gates would never be opened by its prison master
for its inmates to go out, what other option have the captives got than
violence?

To be an overcomer we have to enter into the fight, for the Bible says:
"For this cause was the Son of God made manifest that he might destroy the
works of the devil."

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. This means that you as a
child of God have to go to war and destroy the works of the enemy in your
life, environment, business, family. War is never a pleasant experience. It
leaves death, pains, sorrow and loss in its trail. Wherever there is any
serious physical war, loved ones are oftentimes separated, and holidays are
forgotten. During wars survival becomes the primary concern of everyone,
and not enjoyment.

Because of the pains and agonies that characterise wars, reasonable

people refrain from going to war unless it becomes unavoidable. In the
same vein, no sensible human being prefers war to peace. But, in the
spiritual realm, the situation is completely different. Here, you have no
option but to fight. You either fight or you perish. When people choose to
remain complacent, as if nothing is amiss, there is always a war going on.
This is the lamentation of the prophet, "My people are destroyed for lack of
knowledge."

Sometimes, for you to get ahead there is no option but to war. Most of the
time, peace-loving people have no option but to fight to retain peace. That
is why it is said: "When there is no war there is no peace."
 The peace, joy and rest that many people clamour for will be impossible
without warfare and confrontation. The Lord is calling for aggressive
confronters who are ready to face the battle and are not easily discouraged,
those who are not chicken-hearted and who can exercise spiritual violence,
those who will never give up. God is looking for confronters to spite the
blood of the enemy and kill the giants.

All the aggressive men in the Bible were terrible confronters. First, let us
look at Moses in Exodus 10:28,

And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see
my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.

This was powerful Pharaoh talking to Moses. After he said this, he

probably expected Moses to run out of the place. But Moses remained
unshaken but instead said.

Verse 29: And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face
again no more.

And so shall it be with you also. You shall see the face of your Pharaoh no
more.
The encounter with Moses was a spiritual violence, which Pharaoh id not
understand. Moses was a confronter. It came to a point in his life when he
had to wrest the kingdom of Egypt from the hand of Pharaoh and became
the king. Thereafter, wherever he went to the land of Egypt, people
respected him, as his word became law.

With just a tiny rod in his hand, Moses controlled the whole of Egypt. So
shall it be with you, in Jesus' name. With the rod of faith in your hand, you
shall control your circumstances.

In 1Kings 18: 17-18, we read of Elijah:

And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah. that Ahab said unto him, Art
thou he that troubleth Israel? 18And he answered, I have not troubled Israel;
but thou, and &y father's house, in that ye have forsaken the
commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.

Here was Elijah, another confronter, confronting king Ahab. And in I

Kings 21:20-21 Elijah is again at it:

And Ahab said to Elijah. Hast thou found me. O mine enemy? And he
answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in
the sight of the LORD. 21Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take
away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the
wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel.

Elijah went on talking to the king in such harsh tone; then, in verse 23, he
turns to the king's wife and says:

And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel
by the wall of Jezreel.

These were terrible words said by Elijah to the king.

Next, we have Elisha who was also a confronter of kings, as detailed in II

Kings3.

Also, David confronted Goliath.

We also have Peter who confronted Simon the sorcerer and told him:
"Your money perish with you."

Paul was also a confronter. Acts 13:8-11 says:

But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood

them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 9Then Saul. (who also
is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, 10And said,
O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of
all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be

blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a
mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the
hand.
 God is not looking for coward soldiers. Daniel, Shadrach and Abednego
were all confronters. As a confronter, your intelligence, height, colour or
shape is immaterial. In fact, if you are the biggest giant in the world the
devil would not care. He is not a kind being and we also have no business
being kind to him, for we are at war with his evil kingdom.

God wants confronters who will always be prepared to take the battle to
the enemy. It is amazing that so many Christians are so scared.

At a revival programme some time ago, as an altar call was made a lot of
people came forward to confess they were witches. The preacher prayed
and commanded birds of witches and wizards to depart. Rather than depart
the birds retorted, "No, we aren't going nowhere." This made the man of
God angry, When he ordered them dead, trouble began; people began to
vomit dead birds. This was spiritual violence.

But can a believer really get angry? Yes, but essentially with the devil.
Gone are the days when satanic agents despatched against believers were
allowed to go scot-free. The appropriate thing is for such agents to be
ordered back to their senders. A chicken-hearted Christian can hardly be
able to do this. Rather, he is more likely to get frightened into seeking
refuge and help from wherever he can get it.

Many years back, a demon was despatched against someone close to an

acquaintance of mine. The man said that as he prayed in his bed, the demon
idol came in without knocking at the door. It called the man's third name,
which the man was rarely called by, and hit him with a stick on the right
arm and the arm went limp.

The man made desperate attempts at saving himself by reciting some

prayers he had learnt from his Christian neighbours. This was a fruitless
effort. The demon idol went away and returned not long after to attack our
friend again.

If violence had been applied at the first instance the enemy would not
have had any chance to return. While conventional church-goers are busy
proclaiming that their blood is bitter, the violent ones hardly have the time
to make such puerile utterances. Demon spirits are never interested in
knowing whether your blood is sweet or bitter, all they want to do is to suck
you dry of life.

A confronter should command the earth to swallow up demons. While the

chicken-hearted Christian reads ten Psalms before going to bed, the violent
Christian commands the angels of fire to surround his house. Certainly, the
days of soft prayers against the devil are over. The Bible says: "The devil is
come against us in great wrath." This is because he knows that he has a
short time. So, when Mountain of Fire and Miracles Church members are
asked to pray violently, there is always a reason, which is: to enable them to
violently possess their possessions.

Sometime ago, three people were sent to disrupt a crusade. One of them
had a charm he was to use on the preacher. When they got to the crusade
ground, they sat at the back. As people sang choruses, the one with the
charm began to operate. Consequently, all lights went off, the microphone
stopped working; the whole arena was thrown into confusion.

At this point, the preacher asked the crowd to rise up in aggressive prayer
against members of the world whom he said had got on to the arena.
Specifically, the prayer was for the evil doers to get frozen on the spot.
Immediately, the crowd roared into aggressive prayer.

At the heat of it two men were seen fleeing from the crusade ground,
remaining the one with the charm. When he put his hand into his pocket to
remove the charm, the hand got stuck. Then the light returned and the
crusade continued. Apparently, the frozen man was quite intelligent. He
must have reasoned that if he should run away like his colleagues, his hand
would remain stuck in his pocket forever. So with his hand still stuck in his
pocket he walked up to the stage to confess his destructive mission and
requested the pastors to pray for his deliverance. The man got born again on
the spot.

Confrontation is necessary so the forces that follow believers all over the
place, struggling to block their miracles, would be roasted to death in the
name of Jesus.
 There is a warning to believers: The longer you remain in sin the more the
problems in your life will multiply and become complex. The longer you
stay in darkness the more the enemy will amputate your life, And once he
realises that your escape from darkness is imminent, he will seek to put a
permanent mark on your life. So, the earlier you run out to the light, the
better for you.

God is depending on believers to become the idol breakers in their

families, but if you refuse to be a breaker of idols you are not going to find
things easy. Do you know that evil forces sometimes disagree among
themselves and attack one another? It is within the power of confronters by
speaking the word to throw such chaos into the camp of the enemy and
make them fight one another.

God ordered confusion on the Tower of Babel. Likewise, His children can
order confusion into the camp of evil forces. God's call is to such
confronters. If you can become one, you only need to give God the
opportunity to prove Himself in your life. But you must know that nothing
will work for you until you give Him a trial. Never doubt whatever God has
given to you until you have tried it. The trouble with most people is that
they have rather sharp tongues and are always quick to criticise while they
are never able to do the same in the spirit. Sharp tongue in the physical
world can hardly be transferred into the spirit.

Violence is allowed in the spiritual world but we are not allowed to be

physically violent, to the level of beating people up.

A long time ago a woman attended one of our services. In the midst of
prayers she cried that her body was on fire, that she wanted to go home and
remove the juju with which she had charmed her sister. She eventually ran
out of the church. Only violent prayers made this possible, and not soft,
ineffectual pleadings to evil forces to break their hold.

Things must change in your life after reading this book. God is waiting
for you to move and the host of heaven will move with you. A man of God
once went preaching in an area. Initially no one attended his church, until
the Lord opened his eyes and he saw that there was a demon at the door
sending people away. He got angry and challenged the spirit to get away;
then a big confrontation began between him and the demon which was
determined never to shift any ground to the preacher. But the man of God
prevailed after aggressive prayer.

WHAT ARE THE LAWS GOVERNING

CONFRONTATIONS?
CONFRONTATION MUST HAVE A PURPOSE. We don't just go into
confrontation without a purpose. Spiritual confrontation must have a
purpose. For instance, after you have reviewed your life and found that, for
all your years of existence you have no tangible achievement, you are
justified to confront the oppressor.

Or, as a wife, you have been through thick and thin with your husband
and have seen him move from rag to riches only for him to turn round and
discard you for a more beautiful lady. You will be justified to get
confrontational spiritually.

YOU MUST RECEIVE PROPER INSTRUCTIONS. You do not, start

confronting without information.

YOU MUST CARRY OUT THOROUGH SELF-EXAMINATION.

By this, the enemy will not find any loophole in your life. Jesus said, "The
Prince of this world came to me and they found nothing in me."

BE ADEQUATELY PREPARED. This may entail fasting.

YOU MUST POSSESS STUBBORN FAITH.

YOU MUST ISSUE AGGRESSIVE CHALLENGE.

DO NOT TOUCH ANY UNCLEAN THING IN THE CAMP OF

THE ENEMY.

There was this brother who was a motor park worker before he got born
again. He was quite muscular. When he got to our church he applied to be a
security man and was employed. After a night prayer meeting, there was a
girl of about seven who sat glued to her seat long after everyone had gone
home. Initially the security man thought she was waiting for her parents and
allowed her to sit. But when it was almost midnight, the security man
accosted her and demanded to know her mission. The girl did not reply.

After several unreplied questions, the man asked her to leave the church.
The girl simply remained unmoved. Feeling affronted, the man went for a
thick wire with which he began to beat the girl. At a point she caught the
wire, broke it into pieces and threw it at the man. Amazed, the muscular
man began to push the girl off the pew but was unable to move her however
hard he struggled.

Out of desperation, he pulled off the scarf the girl had on her head and
what he saw on her head threw him off balance. Instead of natural hair, the
girl had a thick bush on her head. It was then that the man realised what he
was up against. He got into prayers, reciting some popular Bible passages.
Then the girl sluggishly got up and began to walk away. The security man
followed her still reciting the Bible passages, and the girl kept moving
away. At any point that the man stopped his prayer, the girl would stop.
Once he resumed the prayer, the girl moved, until she went completely out
of the church premises and the man locked the gates.

When he returned to the church, he found on the spot where the girl sat a
brand new gold wristwatch. He picked it up, examined it for a while and put
it in his pocket and went home. When he got home, he put the watch on his
table and slept off. By the time he woke up the next day, the watch had
disappeared. He felt pangs of pain in his head which seemed to grow harder
and ran to his pastor for assistance.

This young man had taken an unclean thing from the camp of the enemy,
and broke the law of confrontation.

A brother with serious problems came to pray in our church one night. In
the midst of an aggressive prayer an angel appeared before him and told
him that he was under three curses: non-achievements, vagabondage and
marital failure. He asked the angel what to do and the angel told him to
change his prayers that the Lord should give him the knowledge of
revelation and the anointing of the confronter.

The young man prayed until he found himself in the midst of witchcraft
people holding a meeting. His name was number three on their agenda. He
shouted at them, "Release me, and be disbanded."

But the witches simply regarded him with disdain. When he intensified
his prayer, the head of the witchcraft group got up and arrogantly told him
they would not disband as there was a hole in his life. "Even if we disband,"
the witch told him, "another group will move into your life and occupy that
hole."

The young man asked what sort of hole and the head of the witchcraft
told him, "Anger and laxity in the opposite sex." The young man also broke
the law of confrontation.

It is expedient to observe the laws of confrontational prayers. The Bible

says, "Fight the good fight of faith," meaning that we have opposition. But
why is it a good fight? It is because we know the winner. Somebody
defeated the devil for us.

PRAYER POINTS
1. (Point one finger to the earth and say:) Every buried potential of mine,
receive resurrection by the hand of fire, in the name of Jesus.
2. Any blessing of mine stored in the second heaven, be released, in the
name of Jesus.
3. Let the sword of the enemy be turned against the enemy, in the name
of Jesus.
4. Anywhere that evil is planned against me, let fire fall, in the name of
Jesus.
5. Let every habitation of evil spirit in my town or village, receive the fire
of God and be roasted, in the name of Jesus.
6. God of Elijah, answer me by fire, in the name of Jesus.
 7. All forces opposing my goodness, begin to rise up against one another,
in the name of Jesus.
8. (Put your two hands on your head:) Evil ancestral spirit, release me, in
the name of Jesus.
9. Every force that has ever opposed me, I release the fire of judgment
upon you, in the name of Jesus.
10. Every evil force that has ever opposed, I command you to be roasted,
in the name of Jesus.
11. I come against every witchcraft activity fashioned against my life, in
the name of Jesus.

SPIRITUAL WEAPONS FOR SPIRITUAL
WARFARE

Each battle has its own weapon. God has a wide range of weapons in His
armoury. Unfortunately, the devil has decided to continue to keep us in the
dark as regards the potency, the uses and the availability of such weapons.
If you have the most sophisticated weapons and you do not know that you
have them, or you refuse to make use of them, they are useless, to say the
least.

Knowledge of the weapons at the disposal of the Christian soldier is

crucial to attainment of victory. There are lots of powerful weapons which
have remained unknown, unexplored and unutilised to believers in this
generation. These weapons are so potent that they can deal with billions of
enemies and demons. You must know the weapons, which God has made
available to you, and use them for all the battles which you are fighting.

We cannot appreciate the importance of a weapon until we get to the

battlefield. When we come face to face with enemy forces brandishing all
kinds of destructive weapons, we will come to grips with the fact that
weapons are indispensable for survival and victory. To be unarmed and
unschooled in the art of using weapons of spiritual warfare is to convert
yourself to a mincemeat in the hands of the devil.

The Bible has warned us to: "Be sober, be vigilant, because your
adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may
devour." This verse gives us a picture of a restless, fiendish foe. The devil is
addicted to destruction; he is an incurable thief, killer and destroyer. That is
why the Bible says, "The devil cometh but to steal, to kill and to destroy."
That is his three-fold ministry. It is suicidal, therefore, to face such an
enemy without possessing and using effective weapons of spiritual warfare.
 The Scriptures place a high premium on spiritual weapons for spiritual
warfare. God has given us a very powerful revelation in Jeremiah 51:20-23:

Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war. for with thee will I break in
pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; 21And with thee
will I break in pieces the horse and his rider, and with thee will I break in
pieces the chariot and his rider, 22With thee also will I break in pieces man
and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with
thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid; 23I will also break
in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in
pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in
pieces captains and rulers.

Besides fighting the battles of life, and dealing with every barrier to your
breakthrough, you must take cognisance of the fact that God has many
things to accomplish. He has chosen you as his battle-axe and weapon of
war. If He wants to make you His weapon or instrument of achieving
victory over the enemy and you lack knowledge of the weapon and the
manner of warfare, you have failed in your divine assignment.
In global warfare, a nation is accorded supremacy over another nation by
virtue of the type of the weapon available to the nation for use. For
example, if the United States of America should come against a poor
African country with its army of fighter jets, sub-marine, machine guns,
state-of-the-art armoured tanks, nuclear war-heads, precision scud missiles
and latest pump action guns, and let us imagine, for the purpose of
illustration, that the attacked nation has a dilapidated fighter aircraft which
is undergoing repairs and a few, malnourished, ill-equipped and
demoralised foot soldiers, you can be sure that a country like United States
of America will reduce such a nation to rubbles within one hour.

I have used this illustration to make one point: the more powerful your
weapons are, the more threatening you would be to the enemy. You may
ask, why do we need sophisticated spiritual weapons? Why don't we forget
about spiritual warfare and let sleeping dogs lie? The devil is not a sleeping
dog; he is a restless, dogged fighter. Even if you decide to fold your arms,
he will continue to fight against you until he has completed his mission of
destroying you.

Ignorance is costly. The satanic kingdom is a complex, well-organised

one. The satanic kingdom has gone nuclear. Satan seems to be fighting his
last battle. We are given an open secret in the book of Revelation 12:12:

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the

inhabiters of the earth and of the seal for the devil is come down unto you,
having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Satan seems to have received a signal: Time is up! He knows that his days
of opportunity are almost over; that is why he is fighting tooth and nail. He
is bringing out the kind of destructive weapons which he has never used
since the beginning of mankind's history. He is burning the mid-night oil,
using the last ounce of energy in him because he knows that one of these
days, he will be arrested and bound.

Rev. 20:2-3: And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is
the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3And cast hi into the
bottomless pig and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should
deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and
after that he must be loosed a little season.

lf the devil will soon be bound, how fierce or deadly do you expect hi to
fight? To be sure, he is going to parade as well as give marching order to his
entire forces. He and hi hosts are not going to leave any stone unturned.
That is why the Bible says, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12).

How do we fight principal demonic agents, wicked powers, rulers of the

dark kingdom and wicked spirits who inhabit high places? Can we afford to
go through life with lazes-faire or business-as-usual attitude? That will be
very costly. To fight these arrays of satanic agents require sophisticated
weapons of spiritual warfare.
 Ephes. 6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this
world. against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The passage shows that there is a wresting going on. It does not matter
whether you believe it or not.

The word of God says, "We wrestle" and wrestling happens to be the most
aggressive and dangerous of the entire combatant arts. If you were put in a
boxing ring, there are some rules you must observe. For example, you must
not hit your opponent below the belt or use your head to smash his head.
You cannot bite your opponent's ear. These are against the rules. But in
wrestling, everything goes. Your opponent can fold you up like a piece of
paper and smash you against the rope or on the canvas.

One can strangulate the neck of the other wrestler, it is allowed. Even
when a wrestler decides to use his head to smash the head of his opponent,
it is allowed. This makes wrestling the most dangerous of all the combatant
arts. And this happens to be the language the Bible uses to describe our war.
The Bible does not say, 'we box', or 'argue', or 'content with words', or
'debate' but that 'we wrestle.' Wrestling involves the whole of the body.

In II Corinthians 10:4 we read another well-known verse:

2 Cor. 10:4: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty;
through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

This clearly reinforces the fact that we are involved in a war and, thank
God, we also have weapons to fight the war. A single prayer point can
wreck a whole country, just as a single one can exalt a whole country.
Prayer is the most vital weapon in the armoury of a true Christian. It is
sufficient for the ''pulling down of strongholds."

I Timothy 1:18 says,

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

Undoubtedly a raging battle is going on day and night. The only way the
enemy will not rage against you in battle is:
. If you choose to for go your divine destiny, or

. If you wish to die.

But when you wish to pursue divine agenda you will have battle raging
against you day and night and you either fight in that war or perish. There is
no middle ground. Jesus said, "He who is not with us is against us." If you
have 75 people in your family and only five of them are born again, the
remaining 70 are against you. This is the opinion of the Bible. He who does
not gather with you, scatters. This is pointing in the same direction that a
great battle rages on.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE
We were born into this spiritual warfare. A warfare is military operations
between enemies, and military operations involve so many things.

Warfare is also an activity taken by one pup to destroy or weaken another

group. Which means that whatever is weakening your power is fighting
you.

Warfare is a conflict. This is why one of the earliest messages of

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry is entitled 'The Ministry of
Conflict'

Warfare is a struggle between opposing forces for a particular end.

THE CHARACTERISTICS OF WARFARE

The warfare that we engage in has the following characteristics:

IT IS FIERCE. The fact that you have never harmed anyone in your life
does not mean you will not be harmed. This is why we say that the enemy is
wicked.

THE WAR IS NOT AGAINST HUMAN BEING. This is where many

people misunderstand the prayers of the MFM. When someone prays, "Be
bound," it means he gives no room for someone or something to operate.
And when he says, "Be loose", it means he allows something or someone to
operate. This has been misunderstood by many.

Christians do not quarrel with anyone on the face of the earth. Nor do we
quarrel with sinners, but with their sin. Christians do not quarrel with the
heretics but with their heresies. We do not quarrel with somebody with
witchcraft spirit inside of him, but our battle is with that spirit inside him. It
is that spirit we "bind" or order to "fall down and die", not the person.

OUR WAR IS WITH SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS, THAT IS

FORCES THAT HAVE NO MERCY. The word 'mercy' exists only in our
own dictionary, it does not exist in the dictionary of the wicked spirits.

OUR FOES ARE POWERFUL. If they were not, the Bible would not
have exhorted us to "be strong in the Lord." It would have said, "relax" or
"be lukewarm", but it says "be strong" because there is a strong opposition.

OUR FOES ARE IN DIFFERENT CLASSES AND ARE WIDER-

AWAKE THAN WE ARE. You are the one who longs for a sabbatical or
have malaria fever, they are always ready and active. It is the human being
who goes for an operation and stays in the hospital for three weeks, our
enemies do not. Human beings go on maternity leave demons take no leave.
We always complain of tiredness, demons lire ever active. They are always
awake and always on the prowl.

OUR WAR WILL NEVER CEASE UNTIL TRUTH ACHIEVES

VICTORY. If you are reading this book and assume that since your priest
or reverend father has prayed for you, you can afford to be idle, you are
making a great mistake. You need to fight your own battle.

OUR WARFARE IS HEREDITARY. What does this mean? It means

that neither you nor I began the warfare. It was handed to us since the blood
of Abel cried for vengeance. The battle started right from then. Before then,
there was no serious warfare but the day the blood of Abel began to cry, the
battle started.

You can pick up weapons from the armoury of God, learn to us them and
use them. If a weapon proves ineffective on the battlefield, you should
return it to the armoury and try another. The type of war raging will
determine the type of weapon to be used. In other words, the problem
facing a man is what determines the success or usefulness of a weapon. A
raging fire cannot be put out with a cutlass.

RULES OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE.

SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TO JESUS. You cannot go into the spiritual
warfare if you are not born again.

COVER YOURSELF WITH THE BLOOD OF JESUS BEFORE

YOU START USING SPIRITUAL WEAPONS.

USE THE NAME OF JESUS. This is unavoidable if you must succeed

in spiritual warfare. The Bible says, "At the name of Jesus, every knee shall
bow." It also says, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous
runs there and is saved." So anytime someone prays with you and refuses to
call the name of Jesus, pick up your Bible and bag and runaway.

USE YOUR AUTHORITY. This entails your accepting that the enemy
has already fallen.

PRAY OUT LOUD AND BE SPECIFIC. The Bible teaches that, "Our
words are spirits." Which means they go to places.

USE THE WORD OF GOD TO FIGHT. This means that you must be
well versed in Scripture and let the word of God dwell richly in you.

CALL UPON THE ANGELS OF GOD FOR PROTECTION AND

ENFORCEMENT.

Sometime ago, the Abeokuta Branch of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles
held a ten-day deliverance crusade. One evening, after a word of knowledge
about a serpent coming out or dying by fire, a brother got home and found
five big snakes in his compound all dead. Curiously, one of the dead snakes
had a bulging tommy. All the dead snakes were burnt.
 However, before the one with the bulging tommy was burnt they decided
to cut open the tommy to see what was in there. When it was opened, they
found birds there.

The people had been praying until that day when they used the right
weapon. This brought about the manifestation.

OTHER POINTS ON SPIRITUAL WARFARE

No one outgrows spiritual warfare.

You either fight or perish.

You cannot defeat the enemy outside when the enemy inside has not been
dealt with. When a spirit has already got inside a person and he keeps
fighting the outside one, he can hardly succeed.

Sin strengthens your enemy against you. Your weapons can hardly be
effective when you live in sin.

The fastest way of demon transfer is sex outside marriage.

Satanic objects must be removed from your environment. If you fail to do

this, your warfare will be prolonged.

The enemy will use any crack in your spiritual life to torment you.
The lose of the battle is your choice.

Do not speak words that may make the devil think he is defeating you.
Check your words. The devil has no creative power but when you say
something against your life it can put a seal on it,

Always wear your armour, as exhorted by the book of Ephesians.

Fear, worry and anxiety attract defeat

Never listen to satan; he is the father of lies.

The battle is not yours, but the Lord's.

Praise the Lord in every situation. This is a sure way to overcome the
enemy.

SPIRITUAL WEAPONS
ARROW OF GOD. The Bible says, "The Lord ordains His arrow against
the wicked. God has an arrow, the fire of the Holy Spirit, which He uses to
destroy His enemies. The Bible says, "Our God is a consuming fire." There
is the stoning fire, and the consuming or devouring fire.

AIR-QUAKE. An air-quake can be programmed against the powers in

the sky? An air-quake is a very powerful weapon of destruction.

THE WORD OF GOD. The Bible says, "My word is like a hammer that
breaketh rock into pieces." The word of God is quick and powerful. It is
sharper than any two-edged sword.

BATTLE-AXE. A battle-axe is quite unlike the common axe. It has a

very wide mouth that easily splits a man's head into two. A battle-axe is a
very powerful spiritual weapon, which you can use to hack all stubborn
enemies to death. You don't have to show mercy to enemies of your
progress.
BRIMSTONE AND FIRE. This is a specialised weapon. It is so
destructive that no enemy can withstand it; The sword of the Lord: God has
a glittering two-edged sword which He uses to fight His enemies.

CUPS OF THE WRATH OF GOD. You simply command the enemy to

drink from the cup of the wrath of God.

DESTROYING STORMS. A storm can be used as a destructive

weapon. You can order it to destroy forces fighting against you.

FAMINE. You can also command famine to plague your enemy.

FURNACE OF AFFLICTION. When you place someone in a fiery

furnace of affliction, such a person will be uncomfortable and will lose the
ability to fight against you.
 GREAT EARTHQUAKE. There are powerful spiritual earthquakes.
With these, you can reduce the enemies' territories to rubbles.

GREAT FURNACE. You can command the enemy to be caged inside

the great furnace of God.

GREAT HEAT. You can unleash unbearable heat upon the body of the
enemy during spiritual warfare.

GREAT MOUNTAIN BURNING WITH FIRE. You can shift the arena
of the battle to the top of the great mountain burning with fire.

HAILSTONE AND FIRE. You can command hailstone and fire from
the heaven lies to fall on satanic agents and stubborn enemies.

HORRIBLE TEMPEST. A horrible tempest is also a strong weapon. It

will disperse and destroy satanic agents holding a demonic meeting.

INSTRUMENTS OF DEATH. The Bible says the Lord prepares

instruments of death against our enemies. You must use this weapon against
them.

LOCUSTS. You can command spiritual locusts to invade the enemy's

territory or to block their passage.
PAINS AND SORES. You can utilise prayers as a means of afflicting
satanic agents with pains and sores. This is an important spiritual weapon.

PESTILENCE. You have the liberty to command to spread on the

territory of the enemy.

PLAGUES. Plagues can be evoked upon the powers of darkness during

sessions of spiritual warfare.

ROD AND IRON. The Bible says, "Thou shall dash them to pieces with
a rod of iron like a potter's vessel." This rod can be used in warfare prayer
to break the jaws of the enemies.

SEA-QUAKE. This is different from earthquake. This affects the sea so

that, if your problem is from the sea, you can use seaquake against it. You
can cause an earthquake-like turbulence to occur in the heart of the sea.
This will lead to confusion and defeat of marine agents.

SCORPIONS. Scorpions are deadly weapons of spiritual warfare.

SNARES. A hunter knows the indispensable nature of a snare; that is

why the Bible talks about the snares of the fowler. You can set up a snare
against stubborn enemies and catch them unawares.

THUNDER AND FIRE. You can use a combination of thunder and fire
as a weapon.

TORNADO. Tornado is a very powerful wind that sweeps off everything

in its path. You can use tornado to upturn all the structures put in place by
the enemy;

THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. Thunder and lightning are very potent

spiritual weapons. You can command them to fight against powers of
darkness.

WHIRLWIND. This carries things away. You can command the

whirlwind of God to carry away the enemies of your progress.

WORMWOOD. Wormwood can be used as a weapon of fighting against

demons and satanic agents.

UNBEARABLE HEAT. This can be used as a weapon of torturing

stubborn pursuers.

DESTROYING HEAT. This type of heat is a strong weapon. Its purpose

is to destroy.

DESTROYING COLD. This is much deadlier than destructive heat.

DESTROYING AIR OR EVIL BREEZE. You can use a destructive air

or evil breeze to fight against those who set themselves against your well-
being.

WATER TURNED INTO THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST. You

may use your bathing water for this or throw the water into your compound.
It is a very powerful weapon. The Bible says, "When I see the blood...I shall
pass over."

VOICE OF GOD. When God begins to speak, the enemies will scatter.

SAW OF THE LORD. You can use this to saw or cut the enemies
asunder.

CONCENTRATED ACID. You can pour spiritually concentrated acid

on satanic agents during warfare.

GUN SHOT. There are times when gun shots have to be used as weapons
of silencing stubborn pursuers.

DAGGER. A dagger is a useful instrument when it comes to warfare.

SPEAR. A spiritual spear can be thrown against the enemy.

THRESHING INSTRUMENT. This is capable of grinding anything,

even your enemy.

HAMMER. There are times when you have to lift up a hammer with all
your strength and land it on those who constitute strong opponents during a
warfare session.

DESTROYING FLOOD. You are free to command a destroying flood to

carry your enemy away.

BULLDOZER. Like the elephant, the Holy Spirit has the bulldozing
power to pull anything down.

SANDSTORM. This is useful against desert spirits,

DRY WIND. When this hits anything, it dries up.

DESTROYING LIONS. There are times when you have to command

spiritual lions to devour demonic agents.

DESTROYING WOLVES. If you are involved in warfare against

terrible enemies, you can set destroying wolves against them.
 DESTROYING LEOPARDS. A leopard is a destructive animal. You
can programme a spiritual leopard against your opponents in spiritual
warfare.

DESTROYING TONGUES. The tongue is a very powerful weapon.

Destroying tongues can be used in spiritual warfare.

TRAP. You can decree that all agents of the devil should be trapped in the
name of Jesus.

DESTRUCTIVE OPPRESSION. A destructive oppression is much

more powerful in spiritual warfare.

CONFUSION. Confusion can be used as a spiritual weapon. When you

command the spirit of confusion to fall upon stubborn enemies, you will
experience victory over them.

STUMBLING BLOCKS. You can place stumbling blocks along the

pathway of the enemy of your progress.

ELECTRIC SHOCK. One other way of fighting against satanic agents

is to subject them to a destructive electric shock.

DESTROYING TRAVAILS. It is possible to use destroying travail as a

weapon. You simply command destroying travail to be anchored to the head
of all evil messengers, in the name of Jesus.

POISON. You can force poison down the throat of your enemies.

POWER TO DEPOPULATE. If you are fighting against a host of evil

powers, you can use a weapon of the power to depopulate against them.

VENGEANCE OF THE LORD. You can command vengeance of the

Lord to come upon those who are opposing your progress, peace and
stability.

GLITTERING SWORD. You can command the glittering sword of the

Almighty to be sunk deeply into the body of your enemy.
 UNDILUTED WRATH OF GOD. You can use this special weapon by
commanding to fall on the head of all stubborn pursuers.

ANGER OF THE LORD. The anger of the Lord is a powerful weapon.

You can evoke it against those who have vowed to chain your life to non-
achievement.

CHARIOTS OF IRON. You can demand that chariots of should run into
the camp of your enemies.

STONES OF AFFLICTION. You can throw stones of affliction into the

camp of your enemies.

BREAD OF AFFLICTION. To use this as a weapon, you can pray,

saying "I command my attackers to eat the bread of affliction."

WATER OF AFFLICTION. To use this as a weapon, take this prayer

point: "I command every household enemy to drink the water of affliction."

RED-HOT CHARCOAL. You can place stubborn enemies and

opponents on top of red-hot charcoals.

CLOUDS OF SORROW. You can cast clouds of sorrow upon satanic

agents and those who have vowed that your joy will never be full.
CLOUDS OF AFFLICTION. You can command clouds of affliction to
be cast on the heaven above those who are in the enemy's camp.

RAGING FIRE. You can command raging fire to lick the enemy and
everything around him.

OVER-POWERING SWORD. When over-powering sword is used as a

weapon, the enemy is finished.

DIVINE ARTILLERY. You can bombard opponents in spiritual warfare

with divine artillery.

DIVINE GUN. The divine gun is a very powerful weapon. A single shot
at the enemy is a killer.
 BATTLESHIP OF THE ALMIGHTY. You can call forth the battleship
of the Almighty to aid you in your fight against the enemy. This is very
useful in the realm of marine warfare.

COMBINED OPERATION OF AIR, LAND AND WATER

SOLDIERS OF CHRIST. The combination of these weapons is
indispensable in strategic warfare.

THE HOSTS OF HEAVEN. These are the moon, the stars, the sun, etc.
You can use them as a weapon when you are fighting a decisive battle.

SAND. Command the enemy to eat sand.

BLINDNESS. Blindness is a powerful weapon. When you blind the

enemy, he will begin to fight against himself.

MADNESS. You can command the spirit of madness to fall upon evil
messengers.

WORMS. You can command worms to eat up satanic agents assigned

against your life.

LACK. This is another weapon which God expects Christian warriors to

use in battle. By the time you programme lack against the enemy, he is
finished.

CONTINUOUS PLAGUE. The weapon of continuous plague is a potent

weapon in strategic spiritual warfare.

TREMBLING HEART. You can command your opponent to begin to

suffer from the problem of trembling heart.

FEAR OF DAY AND NIGHT. You can programme the fear of day and
night against the enemy.

GALL OF BITTERNESS. You can command the enemy to begin to

swim in the gall of bitterness.

DRUNKENNESS WITH BLOOD. You can command the enemy to be

drunken with his own blood.
 CURSES (written and unwritten). You can command written and
unwritten curses to come upon satanic enemies.

GREAT INDIGNATION OF THE LORD. The great indignation of the

Lord is a weapon that will leave the enemy confused.

FIRE THAT BURNS INTO THE LOWEST HELL. You can command
the fire that bums to the lowest hell to come upon your opponent.

MISCHIEF. You can ask for the mischief of the enemy to fall upon his
own head.

BITTER DESTRUCTION. You don't have to pity the enemy. Command

bitter destruction to fall upon him.

DOUBLE DESTRUCTION. When you use the weapon of double

destruction to fall upon the enemy, he is finished.

SLEEPING SICKNESS. This is a terrible weapon.

DARKNESS. You can destroy evil powers with darkness.

HATRED FROM ALL CREATURES. Are you faced by a threat from

the camp of stubborn pursuers? Fight against them with the weapon of
hatred from all creatures.
RIDICULES. You can bombard the devil with the weapon of ridicule.

SCORCHING SUN. The scorching heat of the sun is a powerful

weapon. You can use this in spiritual warfare.

FOOLISHNESS. You can command the enemy to be enveloped with

foolishness.

MISFORTUNE. This can be used as a weapon against the enemy. You

can command misfortune to fall upon the head of all stubborn pursuers.

SELF-DESTRUCTION. You can command the enemy to destroy

themselves.
 DEATH. You can release the spirit of death upon powers like witchcraft
and household wickedness.

SELF-DECEPTION. This weapon can be used in spiritual warfare. You

can sentence the enemy to endless sessions of a self deception.

SELF-ABUSE. Whenever the enemy vows that you would have no rest,
such an enemy can be commanded to go blindly into a self-abuse.

SELF-HATRED. You can cast a spell of a self-hatred on an enemy that

has stubbornly vowed to destroy your life and hinder your progress in life.

SUICIDE. We can ask satanic enemies to kill themselves, in the name of

Jesus.

DISAPPOINTMENT. You can command satanic enemies to encounter

one disappointment after another.

FAILURE. You can command every stubborn enemy to experience

failure in every department of his life.

FEAR OF EVERYTHING. You can make use of the fear of everything

as a weapon against the enemy.

UNCOMFORTABLE WEATHER. You can pray that satanic enemies

be surrounded by uncomfortable weather everywhere they go.

LACK OF COMFORT ON EVERY SIDE. Enemies cannot fight you

when they lack comfort on every side. This is impossible.

OBSESSION. You can command your enemies to be filled with all kinds
of obsessions.

HURRICANE. You can command a terrible hurricane to blow off the

enemy's territory.

IGNORANCE. This is a very important spiritual weapon. When you

command your enemy to be filled with the spirit of ignorance, such a foe
has already lost the battle.
 MISTAKES. You can pray, saying, "Let my enemies or opponents
continue to make mistakes that will lead to my victory, in the name of
Jesus."

MISINTERPRETATION. You can use this as a weapon against the

enemy. You can say, "I release the spirit of misinterpretation upon all
enemies or stubborn pursuers, in the name of Jesus.

MISMANAGEMENT. You can sentence the enemy to mismanagement

in all areas of his life, especially in spiritual warfare.

DISORDERLINESS. You can command the spirit of disorderliness to

fall upon all satanic agents.

POVERTY. You can use poverty as a weapon against the enemy.

INTERNAL CONFUSION. You can release internal confusion into the

lives of stubborn pursuers and household wickedness.

EMPTIER. You can command the power of the emptier to fall upon the
camp of your enemy.

THE EAST WIND. You can command the East Wind to blow against the
enemy.
DIVINE CARPENTERS. You can command divine carpenters to
destroy every power that tries to destroy your potentials and goodness.

THE SERPENT OF THE LORD. (Amos 9:3)You can command the

serpent of the Lord to sink its fangs into the body of satanic enemies and
release deadly venom into their lives.

PRAISES. You can use the weapon of praises against opposing forces.

TESTIMONIES. Testimonies can also be used as a weapon of spiritual

warfare.

THE ARM OF THE LORD. You can demand that the arm of the Lord
should be raised against all those who have been inspired by the devil to
tamper with your goodness.
 ANGELIC WARFARE. You can introduce angelic warfare into spiritual
warfare.

BULLET PRAYERS. There is something called bullet prayers. These

kinds of prayers are explosive. They are able to hit targets with effective
results. A bullet prayer focuses strategically at the enemy's camp.

1. O God, arise and give me a turn-around breakthrough, in the name of
Jesus.
2. Holy Ghost fire, fight for me, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every serpent of destruction working against my destiny, die by fire in
the name of Jesus.

6. Serpent of the Lord, fight every serpent biting my life, in the name of
Jesus.

Red Sea, in the name of Jesus.
9. Release confusion, O Lord, into the camp of my full-time enemies, in

PRAYERS OF GREAT RELEASE

Isaiah 52:2: Shake thyself from the dust: arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem:
loose thyself from the bands of they neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

Many years ago some scientists did research on how high a rat can Jump.
A rat was put inside a can with fire lit under it. Some rulers were also put
inside the cylinder. They started increasing the temperature of the fire. The
higher the temperature, the higher the rat jumped. There was n time when
they put a lid on the cylinder, the moment the rat jumped, its mashed its
head on the cover.

After sometime, the cover was removed but because the rat had been
discouraged by the cover, it refused to jump higher again despite the serious
heat from the fire.

In this context, we see the operation of two attackers. While the rat is
trying to remove itself from where it is, the other one is trying to capture it
inside. This is what we call bondage.

A person under this kind of situation needs deliverance from the enemy
who use the life of people to test his satanic weapons.
Pray this prayer point:

I withdraw fire comfort of my enemies with immediate effect, in the

name of Jesus.

PURPOSE AND DESTINY

God has put in your possession the power to change your destiny for the
best. There are lots of wasted lives and potentials. The greatest tragedy in
life is for one's potentials to be wasted. The person dies without his dream
or vision being fulfilled.

The enemy is pushing some people and they have already aborted the
purpose of God for their lives. People are just wasting their efforts. They
make effort but they do not get anywhere.

We all know our positions (on earth), but how many of us know why we
are here on earth? This is what you must know and pursue with all your
might, otherwise you will be caged. This does not bother God: if the adults
fail God, He will wait for their children, as He did with the Israelites.

Pray this prayer point with holy madness;

I refuse to be replaced by the Almighty, in the name of Jesus.

THE ENEMY INSIDE - STRONGHOLDS

You can ask yourself this question. How do people get into powerful
bondage?

The greatest enemy of the entire mankind is the enemy inside the camp.
The day you paralyse and neutralise these enemies, your destiny will
change for the best.
There was an old king and a young king. The young king insulted the old
king who decided to discipline him by cutting off his head. One morning
the old king said to the young king that he would give him one chance and
see if he could pass a test. He told him that he would take a glass of water
filled to the brim from his palace to the marketplace and back to his palace
without a drop being spilled.

The old man then lined up people on both sides of the road that the young
king would pass. Those on the right side were to be praising him while the
others on the left side were to be abusing him. The young king went to the
market and came back without a single drop of the water falling to the
ground.
 When he got to the palace, the old king asked him how he did it. He said,
"I just focussed my attention on the water. I refused to listen to people at
both sides of the route."

The praise-singers wanted him to be puffed up while the abusers were to

get him angry. In both ways he could have lost his life. He ignored them
and concentrated on his task. We should emulate his example.

In school we had one stubborn guy. While we all feared being beaten with
strokes of the cane, he could receive six strokes without moving an inch.
This used to bother and surprise me. We noticed then that whenever we
were on break this boy would lock himself up in the toilet crying while all
of us had forgotten our punishment. He looked bold publicly but he cried
secretly and eventually he became very sick. His ego which loved to be
praised and hailed when he was being caned, was being used against him.

In the book of I Corinthians 10:4-5 the Bible says,

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual
Rock chat followed them: and that Rock was Chist. 3But with many of them
God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Luke 11 :21-22 also says,

When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
32But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he
taketh from him all his amour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

A stronghold has been built in so many lives. What Jesus Christ described
as stronghold is something that acts as a shield to the strongman. The basic
question is, what is that stronghold in your life that is preventing your
enemies from receiving prayer arrows?

I used to have another strange friend in the school who used to sit very
close to me. One day, I noticed that he was busy eating something with his
head inside the locker. I asked him, "What are you eating?" He said, "Shut
up!" "Give me some," I asked. He said I should shut up. After eating, he
started licking something which he did throughout that day. He didn't even
go for a break.
 The second day, his mother saw me and said, "Daniel, I hope your fiend
celebrated his birthday yesterday? Because we baked cake for him and
bought a packet of sweets for him to distribute in his class. I hope you got
your own share?" I told her we got nothing. The mother screamed.

Unfortunately, before we left the school the boy had developed diabetes.
It got so bad that sometimes he brought the injection to the class. The
enemy in his camp was glued to him and destroyed him.

When a person passes through the x-ray of the machine of the enemies
and they see their property inside, they will be glued to that person.

A woman had been married twice and then married the third time. When
she was about to lose the third husband, she ran to a herbalist, who gave her
a powerful juju. It was a piece of small stone which she was advised to put
in her mouth and grip with her teeth anytime the husband argued with her.

Anytime there was trouble in the house, she would want to start talking as
usual, but she would remember the instruction of the herbalist and quickly
put the stone in her mouth, thereby making it impossible for her to talk, no
matter how the husband might scream. This made the husband to stop
harassing her. The woman ran to the herbalist to confess the power of the
juju. The herbalist then told her that there was no power in it, that all he did
was to help her close her mouth. The herbalist did this to her because he
was able to identify the enemy in her camp.

WHAT IS A STRONGHOLD?
A stronghold is a place that is easy to defend but difficult to attack. It is a
system of thought or an area of bondage within the mind or the body which
encourages the enemy to attack.

In military language, a stronghold could be referred to as an area where

the military is entrenched, a fortress. It is an area over which the Christian
does not have control, an area of sin which had become a part of the persons
life. It is a spiritual fortress where satan and his legions hide for protection.
 I will tell you a secret. By the time some people get rid of 100 percent
anger from their lives, they would not need to pray about breakthroughs
because these will bombard them.

All successful deliverance and spiritual warfare must begin by removing

that which defends the enemies. That is why you should confess and repent
of your sins and ask for forgiveness. By doing this you remove the
stronghold of the enemy. It is a pity that most people involved in spiritual
warfare are actually defending the enemies. Are you defending the
enemies?

For your prayer arrows to enter into the body of your enemy, his armoury
must first be removed. If you are compromising your faith, it will lead to
iniquity and bondage, and you will end up defending your enemies from the
arrow of judgement.

In a Bible school a man said he would give $1,000 to anyone who would
answer a particular question correctly. The question is, where is the location
of the devil, where can we find him? Some people said in the bottomless pit
some said, in the second heaven, others said it is difficult to find him
because he walking about, etc. The smallest boy in that meeting said, "He is
in darkness." He got it. Wherever there is spiritual darkness, there the devil
will be. For lasting victory in our lives, we must defend areas of darkness in
our lives. They open the door for satanic attack.

Somebody was caught in the church with a stolen Bible. Someone who
had seen him in another church stealing the Bible took security men to the
place where they sold stolen Bibles. There were so many Christians there
selling and buying stolen Bibles. It is the greatest curse that can fall on a
person. Sometimes I feel like crying when I go to some of the bookshops
and see books marked not to be sold and yet they are being sold. The enemy
is using the enemy in the camp of such people which is love of money.

Any darkness in our lives will be used by the enemy to attack us.
Darkness is not absence of light, it means absence of God who is the only
true light. For example, any wilful disobedience to the word of God is
spiritual darkness and potential for demonic activities. When you harbour
sin in your life, the Bible says the light in you will become darkness. And
the areas we hide in darkness are the areas of future defeat.

The real enemy of most believers is the carnal nature. It is like that cat
that was fighting his supposed enemy in the front of a mirror. It was
fighting its reflection but did not know. Many of our enemies are the
reflections of us.

Before you outline the strategy for fighting the enemy, you must make
sure that the enemy is not in the inside of you.

God said to the devil, "You shall eat dust," and to Adam, dust thou art."
Our canal nature is the dust. Satan feeds upon our earthly canal nature of
dust. That is, whatever area of your life you withhold from God, is the
breakfast of the enemy.

Matthew 525-26: Agree with thine adversary quickly. whiles thou art in
the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge,
and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
26Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou

hast paid the uttermost farthing.

Satan is the adversary and our accuser before God, who is the judge. To
agree means, if the devil accuses you of a mistake or of a sin and you know
that he is right, it is advantageous that you agree with him about your
sinfulness. If he accuses you of not paying your tithe and you know it is
true, you better agree and make amends quickly; if it is not praying enough,
you better agree on time etc.

SOLUTION
Humility is one of the greatest techniques of breaking the strongholds of
the enemies. Sam hates humility because he is very proud. Whenever we
observe any rebellion in our lives we must not excuse or defend ourselves
rather we must admit it and make amendment. Failure to do so will place
strongholds in our lives.
 Asking for release when the enemies are being protected will be difficult.
Our thoughts, opinions and attitudes, which are not in agreement with God,
are defending the enemies and must be pulled down completely, then we
can start praying for great release.

WHAT IS A PRAYERS OF GREAT RELEASE?

A prayer of great release pulls down strongholds. This enables the
heavens to open. It is a prayer of desperation.

Desperation is God's hammer. It demolishes the stronghold of fear and

shatters the chains of excuse. Desperation will produce change. It is true
that when your desperation exceeds your fear, progress begins. It is when
our desperation removes our inhibitions that progress starts. That was what
happened to the blind Bartimeaus. He did not bother about what people
would say. A desperate prayer does not give any room for failure, neither
does it give God an alternative.

KINDS OF PRAYER OF GREAT RELEASE

Prayers of great release are:

. Every demonic restriction and limitation on my life, be broken, in the name

of Jesus.
. Oh Lord, let my multiplication graduate into explosion.
. My Hamaan shall die in my place, in the name of Jesus.

Jeremiah 17:18has this to say:

Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded:
let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day
of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.

4. I refuse to entertain failure in my life, in the name of Jesus.

. Any anti-progress material fixed into my life in the dream, be nullified, in

the name of Jesus.
6. Every power keeping me low, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.

Satan has a lot of evil things planned against believers, but thank God we
have more powerful weapons.
