Work Done

The document discusses creating an IoT simulation and hardware implementation using Arduino, Tinkercad and creating an Android app for control. Step 1 was unsuccessful linking Proteus, Google Home and Blynk due to missing libraries and security issues. Step 2 created a Tinkercad simulation with Arduino, LEDs, servo and Bluetooth. Step 3 switched to WiFi, designed an Android app with login/registration and fingerprint security for device control via a server.

You are on page 1/ 2

Step 1

Trying to create a simulation model in proteus and link the model with google home and blynk
application . STEP NOT Successful because required proteus library was not available security breaches
while using google home and blynk application

google home security flaws:

allowed hackers to create a backdoor account, enabling them to spy

on users through the app

blynk app flaws :

Limited number of devices per account: A drawback is the limited

number of devices that can be connected to a single Blynk account,
which forces users to set up multiple accounts for their IoT gadgets

Step 2

Creating a simulation model in tinkercad and trying to implement it in hardware

The circuit included arduino uno leds servo motor and bluetooth module the devices in the circuit could
be controlled using a thirdparty app which is available to the public such as example : (serial Bluetooth
application )

Step 3

Creating a personalized application and switching communication module from Bluetooth to wifi

reason for using wifi

Wi-Fi is better suited for operating full-scale networks because it enables a

faster connection, better range from the base station, and better wireless
security than Bluetooth.
App creation

Using android studio designed a personalized application with dedicated

pages for user login / register , secondary security features(fingerprint) /
device control

The app to hardware communication was through a personal host server

created using xampp

And the modification in the hardware was the removal of Bluetooth module
and use of arduino uno module (wifi)
These steps allowed any registered user to login to their profile and to access devices that were linked
to their profile and to ensure security their profiles were only accessible through biometric verification

And any unidentified user is not permitted to access control for any devices connected in the hardware
side.

Methodology

User login  device page  biometric authenticationdevice catalog for controlhardware responses
according to user inputs
