• Temperature
o In the summer, seldom get too hot, average temperature hover around a
pleasant 75, but do get weeklong high 80s and low 90s;
o In the winter, never get too cold, Seattle may see a handful of snow days
per year but the average low is around 37;
o In the spring and fall, the temperature is similar somewhere between 40s
to 60s
• Precipitation
o Average annual precipitation is around 37in;
o On average, it rains in Seattle at least 50% of the time, with the heaviest
rain peroids between January and May and between October and
December, the dryest and warmest months are June, July and August;
o The rain Seattle is famous for ranges from a misty drizzle to full
downpours,but misty drizzle is more common in frequency, local people
get used to it and usually not using umbrellas.

• Humidity/Dew Point
o Dew point is often a better measure of how comfortable a person will
find the weather than relative humidity because it more directly
relates to whether perspiration will evaporate from the skin, thereby
cooling the body. Lower dew points feel drier and higher dew points
feel more humid.
o Over the course of a year, the dew point typically varies from 30°F
(dry) to 56°F (comfortable) and is rarely below 18°F (dry) or above
60°F (comfortable).
o The time of the year between May 25 and October 15 is the most
comfortable, with dew points that are neither too dry nor too muggy

• Over the course of the year typical wind speeds vary from 0 mph to 13
mph (calm to moderate breeze), rarely exceeding 21 mph (fresh breeze).
• The highest average wind speed of 7 mph (light breeze) occurs around
March 26, at which time the average daily maximum wind speed is 13
mph (moderate breeze).
• The lowest average wind speed of 6 mph (light breeze) occurs around
September 28, at which time the average daily maximum wind speed is
