WEB PROPOSAL

(The B&B Fast Food)

Project Background

Liquidation System is the project for implementing a business proceeds outlay

and liquidation system in the fast-food industry is driven by several important factors
and challenges within the sector. The fast-food industry is characterized by its fast-
paced nature and high volume of transactions. Managing the proceeds, expenses, and
financial records efficiently is crucial to ensure the financial stability and sustainability of
fast-food establishments. Many fast-food businesses face difficulties in keeping track of
their daily sales, expenses, and profits due to the sheer number of transactions, leading
to potential discrepancies and financial inefficiencies. This can result in difficulties in
making informed decisions, budgeting effectively, and accurately assessing the financial
health of the business. Liquidation can also refer to the process of selling off inventory,
usually at steep discounts. It is not always necessary to file for bankruptcy to liquidate
inventory, as a company may elect to do so to make way for newer items. Liquidation of
assets may be either voluntary or forced. Voluntary liquidation may be enacted to raise
the cash needed for new investments or purchases or to close out old positions. A
forced liquidation may be used in bankruptcy procedures, in which an entity chooses or
is forced by a legal judgment or contract to turn assets into a liquid form (i.e., cash),
(investopedia.com). Liquidation is a legal process that applies to companies or
partnerships in which a liquidator is appointed to "wind up" the affairs of a company. At
the end of the process, the company ceases to exist. The purpose of liquidation is to
ensure that all the company's affairs have been dealt with and all its assets realized
(economy-ni.gov.uk). Liquidation typically occurs when a limited company has reached
a point where, for one reason or another, it has been decided that the business will not
continue. In this case, you might consider liquidating your company; which basically
means turning your assets into cash. Turning assets into cash is typically done in order
to pay off the outstanding debts of the company. These debts may be from investments
made into the business by creditors or loans that had been taken out to enable the
business to grow, for example. Liquidating leads to dissolving the company, and
bringing all activity to a close. It’s a way for a business that has run out of funds to cover
any remaining debts (sumup.com).

When this has been done, the liquidator will apply to have the company removed
from the register at the Companies House and dissolved, which means it ceases to
exist.

Furthermore, the fast-food industry often operates with thin profit margins, and
any financial discrepancies or losses can have a significant impact on the overall
profitability of the business. Without a streamlined and automated system in place, there
is a higher risk of human errors, theft, or fraudulent activities, which can further
exacerbate financial challenges. Therefore, the project aims to address these
constraints and problems by developing a comprehensive system that not only tracks
daily sales and expenses but also automates the liquidation process, ensuring that
cashiers and employees are accountable for their transactions and minimizing the risk
of financial mismanagement.

In addition to financial concerns, regulatory compliance is another critical aspect

that necessitates the implementation of such a system. Fast-food businesses need to
adhere to tax regulations, labor laws, and financial reporting requirements. Failure to do
so can result in legal issues and financial penalties. Therefore, the project's rationale
extends to ensuring that the business remains compliant with all relevant laws and
regulations, reducing the risk of legal troubles and associated financial burdens. Overall,
the project addresses the pressing need for a comprehensive business proceeds outlay
and liquidation system to enhance financial control, accuracy, and compliance within the
fast-food industry, ultimately contributing to the long-term success and sustainability of
businesses in this sector

Website Objectives

1. Automation of Residence Information: Implement a fully automated system that

efficiently records, updates, and manages personal information of residents within the
barangay.

2. Enhanced Accessibility: Ensure that community members can easily access their
records and apply for barangay clearances without delays, thereby improving resident
services.

3. Data Organization and Analytics: Organize and categorize resident records

systematically, enabling the generation of statistics based on gender and age brackets
to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

4. Efficiency and Productivity: Streamline administrative tasks by reducing the time and
effort required for data processing, thus increasing the productivity of barangay officials.

5. Secured Data Management: Implement secure data storage to prevent the loss or
mishandling of important files and documents, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity
of resident information.

Site Style and Appearance

1. Intuitive User Interface: The system will feature a user-friendly interface designed to
be intuitive and easy to navigate. Residents and barangay officials will find it
straightforward to access the various modules and features, reducing the learning curve
and ensuring a positive user experience.

2. Responsive Design: The web system will be built with a responsive design, ensuring
that it functions seamlessly on various devices, including desktops, tablets, and
smartphones. This responsiveness will enable users to access and interact with the
system from anywhere, promoting convenience and accessibility.

3. Clear Information Presentation: Information about residents and statistical data will be
presented in a clear and organized manner. User interfaces will use well-defined data
tables, charts, and graphs to present data visually, making it easier for users to
understand and interpret information quickly.

4. User Access Control: Different user roles (e.g., residents, barangay officials) will have
distinct and secure logins. Access control features will ensure that users can only
access areas and functions relevant to their roles, enhancing data security and privacy.

5. Efficient Data Entry: The system will offer efficient data entry forms with validation
checks, tooltips, and data auto-population when applicable. This will minimize errors
during data input and enhance the overall efficiency of the system.

6. Feedback and Support: Users will have access to a feedback mechanism to report
issues or seek assistance. Additionally, the system will offer clear instructions and user
guides to help users make the most of its features and troubleshoot common problems,
further improving the user experience.
