    M1 PUBLIC POLICY

    Dear Members of the Admissions Committee,

    This letter reflects my sincere desire to apply to Paris Dauphine University - PSL for the Master of Public
    Policy (M1) program for the 2024–2025 academic year. I think this program is a great fit for my
    academic and professional goals, since I'm really committed to improving my knowledge of public policy
    and making a positive impact on society.

    Academic Background

    I graduated from Moi University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management (Maritime
    Management-Major), having established a strong foundation in Research, Strategy development,
    Evidence-based policymaking, Policy implementation, Policy evaluation. I now have a strong respect for
    critical thought and a strong desire to confront difficult societal challenges as a result of my academic
    experience. Courses like Organizational Theory and Behavior, Strategic Management, helped me
    understand the complexities involved in formulating and analyzing policy.
    My educational background has also given me useful research abilities. During my undergraduate
    studies, I successfully finished a research project that was centered on Resource Allocation: Experiences
    and Challenges in County Governments. My capacity to collect, evaluate, and understand data was
    sharpened by this project, and I'm excited to continue honing this skill set in the Master of Public Policy
    program.

    Professional Background

    Adding to my academic background, I have managerial-related practical experience. In my previous role


    at Buzeki Logistics, I actively participated in vendor negotiations and witnessed directly how public
    policies affect running of organizations. My ambition to learn more and actively participate in creating
    successful public policy has been stoked by these professional encounters.

    Alignment with the Program

    I am drawn to the Master of Public Policy program at Paris Dauphine University - PSL because of learning
    outcomes such as, acquiring a thorough mastery of the qualitative and quantitative methods used in the
    social sciences, developing an excellent knowledge of businesses and governments at the local, national
    and international level, open up to research and higher education in the social sciences through affiliation
    with the research laboratory.

    The emphasis on Corporate Policy and Social Responsibility, Public Policy and Opinion, Urban Policy and
    Territorial Governance particularly appeals to me. This is in perfect alignment with both my research
    interest in Comparative Public Policy and my professional aim of Public Policy Consultant.
    Furthermore, the program's dedication to promoting student-led projects and a collaborative learning
    environment aligns with my views on the value of varied viewpoints and proactive participation in policy
    discourse.

    Conclusion

    To sum up, enrolling in Paris Dauphine University - PSL's Master of Public Policy program seems like a
    logical next step for my academic and career development. My excitement stems from the possibility of
    adding my distinct experiences and viewpoints to the lively academic community at Paris Dauphine
    University - PSL.

    Thank you for considering my application. I am confident that my academic and professional
    experiences, coupled with my enthusiasm for Public Policy, make me a strong candidate for the
