ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
TITLE : 3-DAY DISTRICT ROLLOUT TRAINING ON PEDAGOGICAL

RETOOLING FOR EACH LEARNING AREAS: ENGLISH, SCIENCE,
MATHEMATICS, AND FILIPINO FOR GRADE 4 TO 6.

SCHEDULE : AUGUST 2-4,2018 – ENGLISH
AUGUST 9-11, 2018 – SCIENCE
AUGUST 23 – 25, 2018 – MATHEMATICS
SEPTEMBER 6 -8, 2018 - FILIPINO

I. RATIONALE
Education is a very vital tool that is used in the contemporary world to succeed. It is
important because it is used to mitigate most of the challenges faced in life. The knowledge that
is attained through education helps open doors to a lot of opportunities for better prospects in
career growth. Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge,
skills, values, beliefs, and habits. It needs different educational methods, strategies in-order to
attain the goals of education. Thus, this includes storytelling, discussion, teaching, and training.
This requires that the facilitator, the teacher, possess a certain set of knowledge and skills to
understand how and when various tools best support the learning and teaching process.
Likewise, It is being said that English, Mathematics, Science, and Filipino subject are one
of the major subject in all learning areas, this is an attempt to state the importance of language,
reading and writing, and arithmetic in the present education system, so that the future generation
will nourish high ideas and values to contribute in the development society and the role of
teacher in imparting these macro skills.
In this connection, I am proposing to organize/manage a 3-Day District Rollout Training

On Pedagogical Retooling for each learning areas: English, Mathematics, Science, and Filipino.
Attached herewith are the training matrix of the following subject areas.
II. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the training the participant are expected to:

1. Familiarize more the English, Mathematics, Science, and Filipino curriculum.
2. Apply the concepts and ideas learned to enhance teaching learning process.
3. More productive in their teaching and learning strategies in reading and writing.
4. Cascade the same training content to their respective schools.
III. STRATEGIES AND METHODOLOGIES
1. The training will be conducted through interactive lectures in plenary sessions. Speaker/
facilitators are encouraged to create group activities, focused group discussions, practical
workshops and output presentations to ensure dynamic interactions between and among
the participants.

V. EXPECTED OUTPUTS
1. Participants are expected to apply the concepts, ideas, skills, technique and strategies
learned to enhance teaching learning process.
2. Participants are expected to cascade the same content of the training to colleagues
through slack session.
VI. ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
Monitoring and evaluation will be done to ensure that teachers in the field are engaging
and adapting so well to the teaching strategies and techniques presented to them.
