    1. What is an endangered animal?


    An animal is in danger of extinction when there are very few specimens left in the wild and there is
    a great risk that the species will disappear.

    2. What Causes Animals to Become Endangered?


    The main causes are the loss and degradation of habitat, the advance of the agricultural frontier,
    illegal hunting, trafficking of species or derived products, pollution, climate change, the
    introduction of exotic species and overgrazing.

    The animal that I am going to present is the Andean Condor

    The Andean condor is a large bird that inhabits the coastal mountains and mountain habitat types of
    the Andes mountain range in South America. It prefers areas with wide open spaces, which helps it
    detect food.

    The main threat that affects the Andean condor is the consumption of toxic baits, an illegal practice
    used to control predatory species.

    The main causes of the Andean condor are deforestation, burning of moors, expansion of the
    agricultural frontier, illegal mining, among other causes such as urbanization.

    not approach or give food to the condors. Hunters should not use lead-based ammunition.

    important job as nature's sweepers.
