WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
REGISTRATION
1. REGISTRATION OF RECOGNITION CODE
HINT:
• The recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (fuse block
assembly), having lost or adding the door control transmitter(s).
• A maximum of 4 recognition codes can be registered in the main body ECU (fuse block
assembly), so that a maximum of 4 transmitters can be used. When 2 or more transmitters need
to be registered, register the transmitters in sequence by following the procedure listed below.
• When a new transmitter is registered, all the previously registered code(s) in the main body ECU
(fuse block assembly) will be erased.
• Disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal does not erase the registered code(s) from the
memory in the main body ECU (fuse block assembly).
(a) Check that the following conditions are met.
(1) No key is in the ignition key cylinder.
(2) Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
(3) The driver side door is open.
(4) The driver side door lock knob is unlocked.
(b) Reconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
(c) Perform the following operations within 30 seconds.
(1) Insert the key in the ignition key cylinder.
(2) Remove the key from the ignition key cylinder.
(3) Operate the driver door lock knob to repeat lock and unlock 3 times (Door lock: unlock →
lock → unlock → lock → unlock → lock → unlock).
(4) Close and open the driver door (driver door: open → closed → open).
(5) Check that the response operation is made as shown in the illustration.

Response to registration mode:

Main body ECU (fuse block assembly) automatically performs power door unlock/lock operation.

HINT:
If the unlock/lock operation is not performed, registration of recognition code has failed.
Repeat the registration procedure from the beginning.
(d) Perform the following operations within 15 seconds.
(1) Press and hold the unlock switch for 5 seconds or more.

(2) Check that the response operation is made as shown in the illustration.

(f) To register 2 or more transmitters, repeat from step (d).
HINT:
Step (d) must be performed within 15 seconds. If 15 seconds or more elapse after code
registration, the registration mode will end.
(g) Registration of the recognition codes is completed.
(h) Perform the following after registration is completed.
(1) Perform the wireless door lock control operation check.
