3. Measure Gear Ratio
1. Install PM
1)computer need to preinstall .net 4.0
2)Running setup.exe

2. New a factory.usr file


1)New a txt file under PM install path
2)Rename the txt file as (include expanded‐name of “.txt”)

3. Power On、Running PM、Open factorywrite(step as
below)
Running PM —> Main Menu — > Debug—>factory debug
4. Measure Gear Ratio
1)After display “Ready” on LCD,open factory debug(as
shown in left figure)
2)Click [Position],X=0
3)[Length] modify to 10000,[Direction] select to
left,[Speed] select to 7,click [Move]
4)Click [Position] again, then will get X value (please adjust
gear ratio of X driver, in order to get X value bigger than
9000, more better more near to 10000)
5)Click [Move] and [Position] again, need to get 5 group
data(at least 3 group), then send the data to Technical
support. Technical support will send a new FW updater
to the customer to modify the gear ratio

1. Running PM, take turns to click [Main Menu] [Help] [About], then will get following dialog. The information in red is password for factorywrite.

2. Close PM, search Factorywrite.exe in PM install path, running the exe file, then will get following dialog.

5. Calibration—Mechanical Calibration
1. Print Head position:Base on the fixer on the carriage of printer, user could adjust print head position in order that print head and printing surface to keep
horizontal
1)Checknozzle:Printing checknozzle to check if all the nozzles of print head is working well
Menu—>Checknozzle—>[Enter]

If there are some missing nozzles, user should cleaning the print head until all the nozzles will working well.

2)Interleave Check:Menu—> System —>Input Advance Mode Password—> Advance Mode—>Calibration—>Interleave Check—>[Enter]

Interleave Check
Using 50~100 times magnifying lens to check above pattern. Black line is reference. Because the distance between K and Y is longest. So checking K and Y
firstly. If K and Y are both three lines, then the lines should be combined, if K is three lines and Y is two lines, then K and Y should interleave with each other.

Good Left high and Right low Left low and Right high

Remark:User will get a mirror image in the magnifying lens,And you could adjust print head position base on the above three group patterns.

5. Calibration—Mechanical Calibration
3)Angle Check:Menu—>Advance—>Calibration—>Angle Check—>[Enter]
After adjust print heads interleave check, that is not enough to keep print head surface keep horizontal with printing platform.. So user need to
printing “Angle check” to double check if the print head horizontal with platform.

Remark:The test pattern will printing from right to left two times, and from left to right two times. Customer could refer to the single line and color bar
to verify if the surface of print head is horizontal with printing platform. If the result is like picture2, that is means the front of print head is more higher than
back. If the printing result is like picture3, that is means back side higher than front side. Sometimes, may be caused by platform is not smooth. Customer
could printing the same pattern on different position of platform to verify if the it is caused by platform. If the two lines are divided for a big distance, that
may be caused by Bi‐direction calibration issue. For two heads testing, the method is same. Normally, the result of head 2 is worse than head 1(normally,
head 2 is on the outside install position), that is because head 2 is more farther from guide rail than head 1. Sometimes, if head 1 is better than head 2, then
customer need to double check print head install or carriage baseboard. If the guide rail, carriage, platform or baseboard have some machining issue, that is
very difficult to adjust the printing result same for the two printing direction. If so at least keep one direction is ok.

5. Calibration—Mechanical Calibration
4)Head Vertical Interval Check:Menu—>Advance—>Calibration—>—>[Enter]

Remark: the triangle is printed by first print head, trapezoid is printed by second print head. The distance of lasted line printed by first print head and first
line that printed by second print head should be as same as the lines that printed by print head internal nozzles. Otherwise, customer need to adjust print
head position at vertical direction.

5. Calibration—Software Calibration
2. Software Calibration:Software micro adjust contain Step, Horizontal calibration and so on.
1)Step:Customer need to printing checknozzle firstly, which to check if there is any missing nozzle. The print head should be under good condition.
Normal Mode:Menu—>Calibration—>Step—>Printing—>[Enter]

This is just a simple adjust, that will printing one group pattern. Select the pattern that two side are aligned, then fill the number below the pattern into
LCD control panel.
Advance Mode:Menu—>Advance—>Calibration—>Step—>Select Media—>Select Pass number—>Printing—>[Enter]

Step Calibration

Advance Mode support customer to select media type and pass number. Firstly, customer need to select 4 passes. Then other pass step value will
conversion automatically. The way of step calibration is as same as Normal Mode. Under advance mode K and M are printed by the same pass, so normally
customer just focus on K is OK. Base on the above pattern, “0” is the best one. If customer select the value that is the best one considered by him, please
make sure all the patterns in this value’s group are all aligned.

2)Horizontal Calibration:If the machine is right origin, the horizontal calibration order is left align, BI direction and right align. If left origin, then the
order is right align, BI direction and left align.

Checking the test pattern, select the one that could be aligned, then fill the value under the pattern into LCD control panel. Different resolution and VSD
need to match different parameter. So customer need to calibration for each mode that will be used. Be noticed, if user printing the mode is [High], then
need to change the parameter into [High] mode.

6. PrinterManager(PM) —Main Menu(Update) & VSD Introduction
 Update:Running PM,click as step of [Main Menu]—>[Tools]—>[Update]。Find the path of updater, select the file of .dat, then the system will doing updating

 VSD Introduction:
VSD2, Single Dot, ink dot is around 25pl
VSD1, Variation Dot, big dot is around 30pl, middle dot is around 20pl, small dot is around 10pl
VSD3, Variation Dot, big dot is around 22.5pl, middle dot is around 15pl, small dot is around 5.5pl
VSD4, Variation Dot, big dot is around 10pl, middle dot is around 7pl, small dot is around 3.5pl
The dot of VSD4 is smallest,so it is better to printing high resolution job to keep enough ink quantity. To compat printing speed and ink quantity, we suggest that
to use VSD3.Checking the item of “use file setting” in PrinterManager to doing RIP and printing at same time. Be noticed, the printer port is printport.dll and not
file. Different resolution and VSD mode need different ICC.

parameter into system. Restart the machine, then the setting will be working.

Carrage_X_SuckPos: the position of carriage to suck ink , normally is 0
HeadBox_z_SuckPos: the position of ink stack cover the print head
SuckInk Time: suck ink time, unit is 0.1s
InputAirtime: the air input time after suck ink, unit is 0.1s
SuckWasteInlTime: suck waste ink time, unit is 0.1s

4. WipePart:wipe part, here allow to set four head, and first column of left side is for first head, and second column is for second heads, and so on.

HeadBox_Z_WipePo: the height of wipe when wipe the print head
Carriage_X_Wipe_Speed: the speed of carriage when wipe the print head, not allow to modify
WiperPos_Y: wipe move to the position when wipe the print head

A. If the cleaning module is like above picture shown, just need to connect pump and air valve, the positive pole of electromagnet connect to the pin8,pin7,pin 6 of J29,
negative pole connect to the pin11 and pin 12 of J29 or the GND of 24V.
B. For two heads, wipe 1 connect to pin6, wipe2 connect to pin3, pump 1 connect to pin8, pump 2 connect to pin5 ,E‐valve 1 connect to pin7, E‐valve 2 connect to pin4.
C. If the ink stack only have one pump, wipe motion is base on a two‐phase step motor, then ink pump could connect to pin10 of J29, wipe motor connect to J32, the
wiring is as same as GO UP and DOWN TYPE.

7. Cleaning Module—Integrated
Connect the printer to the computer, running factorywrite.exe, click [cleaning] and select [CleanParmeter2], click[read], then parameter will be read from system
1.
AutoCleanWay:select cleaning type, it is contain strong/Normal/weak/Refill, select related cleaning mode, adjust following parameter, then click [set] to save the
setting into system, restart machine and the setting will be working.
Remark, if select[ initialization cleaning parameter] in advanced mode, all the parameter will change to the original setting.
2. Motorpart:Motor Parameter

Carriage_X_Wipe_Speed:carriage speed when wipe the print head.


RotateDir:direction of cleaning motor, normally is 1, do not support modify.
Wiper_Y_HideToWipeDistance:from hide wipe position to popup position, that is the motor moving distance
Wiper_Y_WipeToSuckDistance:from wipe popup position to suck ink position, normally this distance is small
Wiper_Y_SuckToHideDistance:the distance from suck ink position to hide wipe position for the one head system. For two heads system is second print head flash
position, the distance from suck ink position to hide wipe position=HideToWipeDistance + WipeToSuckDistance +100
SectionCount:section of cleaning, currently divide into 3 section, pre cleaning, suck and wipe, suck, wipe and flash
3. Speed Interval:speed threshold, the speed threshold of motor is not allow to modify.

Carriage_X_SuckPos:X direction suck ink position, normally is just origin


Carriage_X_ReleasePos:X direction, print head leave from ink stack and suck waste ink position

Section: this tools supply 4 section motion, each action could define the motion by type. Normally set the first section as pre cleaning to clean waste ink for the ink
stack. Set second section as fast suck ink and wipe print head. Set third section as slow suck ink, wipe print head and flash
TYPE:it is contain Suck Only/Suck and Wipe/Suck Wipe and Flash/Flash Only/Pre Clean, that is set for the motion of first step, the other action will not work after
selection
Pre Clean: pre cleaning. Normally, it always doing firstly, action is suck waste ink
Suck and Wipe: suck ink and wipe print head
Suck Wipeand Flash: suck ink, wipe print head and flash
SuckOnly: only doing suck ink action
Flash Only:only doing flash action
LoopTimes:the current action cycle times
SuckInkTime:suck ink time, unit is 0.1s
StayTime:stay time after suck ink, unit is 0.1s
Base on different pump, ink damper and suck ink time, the stay time will also different, in order to keep ink supply and pressure balance
ReleaseTime:suck waste ink time, also named as release time, unit is 0.1s
FlashFreqInterval:flash frequency, unit is μs. The frequency more fast the ink quantity more small
FlashTime:total flash time, unit is 0.1s
FlashCycle:the cycle of flash one time, unit is 0.1s
FlashIdleInCycle:the idle time during flash, unit is 0.1s
