A. COURSE OVERVIEW:
1. Course Objective: To provide the students with the main notions and techniques of
calculus of functions of several variables concerning limits, continuity, differentiation
and integation; basic skills of computing the sum of series. Many applications explain
how to use these notions and techniques in practical situations.

Maclaurin Series; Cartesian Coordinates; Lines, Planes and Surfaces; Derivatives and
Integrals of Vector Functions, Arc Length and Curvature, Parametric Surfaces;
Functions of Several Variables; Limits, Continuity, Partial Derivatives, Tangent Planes;
Gradient Vectors; Extrema; Lagrange Multipliers; Multiple Integrals: Double Integrals,
Triple Integrals, Techniques of Integration; Vector Fields, Line Integrals, Surface
Integrals.
4. Assessment:
Assignment and Class Attendance: 20%
