DESCRIPTION
Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) 5.11 is an update to HAP 5.10 and includes the following changes:
1. Updated EIA electric and gas prices for the United States.
2. Updates to import from BSO 1.60 (newly released)
3. Fixes to 7 problems discovered in HAP 5.10.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
To install HAP please use the procedures listed below. When installing to a network server, please refer to Installing
and Operating Carrier Software on Networks.
Prerequisites:
Computer requirements: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10
You received e-mails from Carrier containing installation instructions.
Installation procedure:
Close all other programs that are currently running.
Download Carrier X Builder Framework as instructed in the e-mail and double-click the installer file.
Installation of the software will begin. Follow the instructions which appear on your screen. When prompted,
please enter your company name exactly as it appears in the authorization code e-mail you received. If
you enter a different company name, the authorization code you enter later will not work.
Next, download the HAP installer as instructed in the e-mail and double-click the installer file. Installation of
the software will begin. Follow the instructions which appear on the screen.
Run HAP:
From the Start menu choose the Programs or Apps menu.
Choose the “Carrier E-CAT and E20-II Programs” group and then click on the “Hourly Analysis Program
5.11” item.
The first time you run the program you will be asked to enter the “customer number” and the “authorization
code” shown on the e-mail you received from Carrier.
When 30 or fewer days remain until expiration, the program will display a message that expiration is
approaching.
PROGRAM DOCUMENTATION
The HAP Quick Reference Guide is installed with HAP in PDF format. It can be displayed using an option on the
Documentation menu. This manual includes an overview, tutorials, example problems and application advice.
The HAP help system provides complete documentation. This includes material from the manual plus detailed
discussions of program inputs, reports and calculation procedures. The help system can be launched from the Help
Menu, the Help button on the program toolbar, and by pressing the [F1] key.
