**SCOPE OF WORK**

The scope of work encompasses the erection of a civil foundation for support,
including all necessary testing, for the 710-P-05 A/B/C MOV & NRV Upgrade
Project.

1. Site Preparation:
- Clear the construction area of any debris, vegetation, or obstacles.
- Ensure the site is level and compacted.
2. Excavation:
- Excavate the foundation pit according to the approved design drawings,
ensuring the dimensions and depths are accurate.
- Excavation shall be conducted either by manual excavation as deemed
appropriate for the site conditions and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Check excavation dimensions against design specifications to ensure
compliance.
- Inspect the soil for stability and suitability for bearing the foundation load.
3. Foundation Layout:
- Mark the layout of the foundation on the ground using stakes and strings,
following the design drawings.
- Double-check the layout dimensions for accuracy.
4. Formwork Installation:
- Construct formwork for the foundation using timber, plywood, or steel,
ensuring it matches the shape and dimensions specified in the design.
- Secure the formwork in place to prevent movement during concrete pouring.
5. Reinforcement Placement:
- Place the required reinforcement bars (rebar) according to the design
drawings and specifications, if applicable.
- Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and lap lengths as per structural
requirements.
- Secure the rebar in place using wire ties or chairs to maintain position during
concrete pouring, if applicable.
6. Concrete Pouring:
- Prepare the concrete mix according to the approved mix design and quality
standards as per the attached drawings.
- Pour the concrete into the formwork in layers, ensuring proper compaction
and consolidation to eliminate air voids.
- Use vibration equipment if necessary to ensure proper concrete consolidation
and bonding with reinforcement, if applicable.
7. Curing:
- Cover the freshly poured concrete with wet burlap, plastic sheeting, or curing
compound to retain moisture and promote proper curing.
- Maintain the curing conditions as per specifications.
8. Formwork Removal:
- Wait for the concrete to achieve sufficient strength before removing
formwork.
- Carefully dismantle the formwork to avoid damaging the concrete surface or
reinforcement.
9. Finishing:
- Check the foundation surface for any defects or irregularities and repair as
necessary.
- Finish the exposed surfaces according to project requirements, such as
smoothing or texturing.
10. Testing and Inspection:
- Perform various tests to ensure the quality and integrity of the foundation:
- Concrete Slump Test: Measure the consistency of the concrete mix to ensure
it meets specifications.
- Compression Test: Test concrete samples to verify strength and adherence to
design requirements.
- Rebar Inspection: Check the placement, spacing, and alignment of
reinforcement bars to ensure compliance with design and structural
requirements, if applicable.
- Soil Testing: Conduct soil tests to assess bearing capacity and suitability for
foundation support.
- Cube Test: Prepare and test concrete cube samples to assess concrete strength
over time.
- Document all test results and inspection reports for record-keeping and
quality assurance purposes.
11. Backfilling and Site Cleanup:
- Backfill any excavated areas around the foundation with suitable material,
compacting layers to achieve desired density and stability.
- Compaction shall be carried out using either manual compaction methods or a
mobile compactor, as appropriate for the site conditions and in compliance
with safety regulations.
- Remove any excess material, debris, or construction waste from the site to
ensure a clean and safe work environment.
12. Final Inspection and Handover:
- Conduct a final inspection of the completed foundation to verify compliance
with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Obtain approval from relevant authorities or project stakeholders before
handing over the foundation for further construction or use.
- Contractor should ensure the leveling of the foundation as the pipe-spool shall
be installed and ensure proper balancing for the same.
CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILTY MATRIX:
