    There are 2 approaches to this type of prospecting:

    1. Using Google search modifiers


    2. Using Ahrefs Content Explorer

    Use Google search modifiers to find the prospects if there is no access to the paid Ahrefs
    account. It is recommended to go with the Content Explorer approach where possible.

    1. Using Google Search Modifiers


    ● Use the following search operator: [Niche Keyword] + “write for us”
    ● Replace the niche keyword with a word related to the website's niche
    ○ For example
    ■ dog
    ■ golf
    ■ camping
    ■ photography
    ■ grooming

    ● Note down all sites that show up in the search results


    ○ Check results showing up on the 2nd page of search results and beyond
    ○ It is recommended to go as deep as sites that show up are relevant to the
    website's niche
    ● Check other combinations of niche keywords to find opportunities.
    ○ For example, in a Camping niche
    ■ Hiking
    ■ Survivalist
    ■ Outdoors

    ● Replace “write for us” with other similar queries


    ○ For example
    ■ “submit a guest post”
    ■ “guest post”
    ■ “guest blog”
    ■ “writing guidelines”

    ● Use additional words alongside the niche keyword:


    ○ For example
    ■ Blog (e.g., dog blog + “write for us”)
    ■ Site
    ■ Info
    ■ Resource
    ■ Article
    ■ Tips

    ● Enter all relevant websites in this simple sheet: Guest Post Outreach.

    2. Using Ahrefs Content Explorer


    This method is done by using Ahrefs Content Explorer.

    ● Enter niche keyword into the search box


    ○ Use this format: title:”write for us” + Niche Keyword
    ● Set search option to Everywhere:

    ● Press the search button


    ● Set filters for the results

    ○ Language: English
    ○ Live & Broken links: Only live
    ○ Filter explicit content: ON
    ○ Add filter:
    ■ Domain rating: from 30
    ■ Website traffic: from 2000

    ● Press Show results button to apply filters:


    ● Click on the Export button to download the results:

    ● Replace “write for us” with these queries and rerun the search:
    ○ “submit a guest post”
    ○ “guest post”
    ○ “guest blog”
    ○ “writing guidelines”

    ● Add additional words to niche keyword and rerun the search:


    ○ Blog (e.g. title: “write for us” + dog blog)
    ○ Site
    ○ Info
    ○ Resource
    ○ Article
    ○ Tips

    Take all exported files and merge them into the final prospect list by using the CSV Merge tool.
