Do you appreciate art? And how many genres of art do you know?

All of them are

unique and unrepeatable in their own way. But today I am Daria, and my teammate
Maxim will tell you more about such an unusual genre as surrealism.

Surrealism is a cultural movement that developed in Europe in the aftermath of

World War I in which artists depicted unnerving,
illogical scenes and developed techniques to allow the unconscious mind to express
itself. It was founded by AndreBreton,
a French poet and writer, who aimed to explore the realm of the unconscious mind
and liberate creativity from rational constraints.
Surrealism drew inspiration from Freudian psychology, which emphasized the
importance of dreams, the subconscious,
and the irrational in human behavior.Surrealist art is characterized by disparate
objects and images, often in unexpected
and bizarre combinations. The artists employed techniques such as automatic
drawing, collage, and photomontage
to create a dreamlike and irrational atmosphere.
Surrealism as a very unusual and individual genre has attracted the attention of
many art lovers and artists.
The founder of Surrealism is considered to be the writer and poet Andre Breton,
author of the first Surrealist manifesto.
Talented artists such as Salvador Dali and his famous paintings such as «The
Permanent Memory» and «The Face of War» should also be mentioned.
Rene Magnet and his creations «The False Mirror» or «The Happy Giver».
Also famous is the artist Yves Tanguy and his masterpieces «Tomorrow» and «The
Death of the Family»
In general, surrealism left a significant mark on art and culture, opening up new
possibilities for the expression of human fantasy and the subconscious.
Although the Surrealist movement lost its relevance at the end of the 20th century,
its legacy lives on and continues to influence contemporary art.
