Hello everyone!

I hope you're all well!

Do you remember last week when I told you that my best friend had challenged me to go an
entire day without social media, or simply without screen? And you know me, I'm always up
for a challenge.
So yesterday, I spent my day without screen. I'm not lying. It was very difficult. I spend a lot
of time on my phone, computer or TV. Even if sometimes it's for work, most of the time it's
just to scroll through my social media. I think I've been very lucky to do this experience and
everyone should try it. In fact, I've realized that I can think of some very strange things when
my mind is free. It's true that my brain never stops thinking. In fact, when I'm doing
something normal like putting on make-up, working, cooking, walking or just resting, I'm
compelled to watch netflix or a youtube video or listen to music. I can't do anything without
a screen.
BUT yesterday I had to do all these things without my screen and honestly at first it was so
boring.

I start my day by getting up at 10am, I had nothing to do so I took the time to cook and make
myself a nice breakfast. I didn't usually eat breakfast. I wanted to make crepe but I realized I
didn't know the recipe. So I trusted myself for the doses and I finally succeeded.

Then I took a shower without music, and you know what? it's not so boring. Then I put on
my make-up and at this point I realize that the world is very quiet and without netflix series
the make-up stage went by very quickly. It was strange.

The worst part of my day was that my parents were working and my sister was with a friend,
so I was alone, just my cats. I played with them. I also worked without Internet to help me
learn or to confirm certain information. It was difficult.
I also cook for lunch, I innovate, during this day I didn't eat the same things as the other
day's plate. That was cool. It takes longer, but you have to make the most of the moment.
I leave my house to walk and I had no music on. At first, I hate this moment, it was just
tiring, but after 20 minutes, I start to appreciate the moment, the nose of nature, the wind. I
discover new places but I'm careful, I don't want to get lost, I didn’t have google maps. I've
met friends I'd never have seen if I'd had my phone. When I get home, I read a book.

Looking back now, after spending a day without screen, I can tell you that life is more
complicated without a screen, but you can do more things. You're open to more things. But
going screen-free is very relaxing. There's no pressure. Our mind is free. We're more
productive. It's a fact of life.

Thank you for watching

Bye !!
