INTEGRATED PROJECT 2024-2025

(Multi-Disciplinary approach in education)


GRADE: III

In accordance with the guidelines of CBSE we are incorporating integrated project based
learning where in students will prepare projects for all the subjects based on a common theme. This
endeavor has been taken up with the objective of inculcating the approach of integrating diverse subjects
or fields and the spirit of collaborative learning.
Please note: Assessment of the Integrated Project will be conducted from 06/05/24 to 1/01/25
PART-1
THEME: EXPLORATION OF TRANSPORTATION
(Information, Research, Uses, Benefits and Effects of Transportation on Earth)
“Victory is beautiful, bright-colored flower. Transport is the stem without which it could
never have bloomed.”

Dear Students,

Please follow the guidelines enlisted below for the project work. At the same time use your imagination,
read, explore, research and think differently to make your project unique and meaningful.
Integrated Project covering all subjects should be done in the scrap book or you can do the same with
more creative ideas.

a) Make a scrap book. You can get lots of ideas from the net. You can use sheets of colour
paper also to prepare a booklet.
b) We will be assessing the project, each subject can be done differently and separately, so that the
teacher can correct it as per her/his subject.
c) Example English, Hindi, Marathi, Mathematics EVS, Hindi, done separately.
d) The project book must have a cover page. The theme of your project should be on top. You may
use sketches, photographs, cartoons, etc. to make your cover page attractive. Mention your name,
class, section.
e) Make your project informative and interesting. Use colors, pictures, illustrations, wherever required.
f) Use old books, newspapers, magazines, etc. for the pictures needed.
g) Credit will be given to student’s work only. Parent’s work will be discarded.
h) Assembling and finalization of the individual student work will be done during the time allotted
only.

THEME: RESPECT FOR ALL
(Towards Grandparents, Parents, Teachers, Nature, Animals)
“Respect is one of the greatest expressions of love.”
This can be done in a scrap book.
You must use waste reusable materials found in home.

Criteria for Assessment:

SUBJECT: ENGLISH
THEME: EXPLORATION OF TRANSPORTATION
PART I (SCRAP BOOK)
(50 MARKS)
 SCI-FI WORLD ACTIVITY
1. Imagine and draw the transportation vehicle for the future world ‘2125’ beautifully in your
scrapbook. Write five qualities about your vehicle how it’s going to help everyone with
nature.

 COLLAGE MAKING ACTIVITY


2. Make a colourful beautiful collage in your scrap book by newspaper articles on
transportation. (For example Government policies, research, import, export news, new
vehicle launch etc.)
 Booklet in which you will make collage should be of any vehicle shape like bus, car,
boat etc.

 COMIC STRIP ACTIVITY


3. Make cartoon comic strip on “why it’s important to consider the environment when
choosing how to travel?”
 Characters conversation should be informative, funny and interesting.

 STORY WRITING ACTIVITY


4. Write a story on “Pollution Free World with Transportation”
 Draw characters, scenes of your story also (use doodle art).

 ALPHABET BOOK ACTIVITY


5. Make Jingle on ‘Transportation’ and make Transportation alphabet book and write names
of different vehicles from all the modes of Transportation.
 Small book should be made and stick in the scrap book

THEME: EXPLORATION OF TRANSPORTATION

 GENERAL OBSERVATION
Q.1What are the difference between a normal train and an electromagnetic train? Visit Metro
station take ride and click your photo, paste and write your experience in the scrap book. .
(Do this activity under the parent’s guidance)

VEHICLE DESIGN

Q.2 Make science model of showing how we can use green energy in transportation. (For
example solar energy, wind energy)

 SORTING ACTIVITY
Q.3 Click and stick the picture of a few real life events showing pollution causes by the
transportation. Write your opinion on it how you felt by seeing that. (Write five lines
approximately) (Do this activity under the parent’s guidance)

 AWARNESS PROGRAMME
Q.4 Conduct awareness programme in your society about harmful effect cause by
transportation on environment. Write your experience and stick the picture of it. (Do this
activity under the parent’s guidance)

Q.5How do you think advanced transportation system will reshape our surrounding? Write
it’s harmful and useful effect.

 MAKE AND LEARN
1. Make a model of Transportation Station with toy cars, buses and train etc. Count how
many passengers each mode of transportation can carry. Write the number of passengers of
each vehicle.

2. Make 3 to 5 model of different vehicles using different shapes. Give the ordinal number
to each vehicle according to their speed.

3. Use different types of transportation for travelling from one destination to your home

3. Make a neat and beautiful table in your scrap book about the most used vehicle by your
society people. (Guideline- design 5 to 6 simple questions of transportation and take printout

(Towards Grandparents, Parents, Teachers, Nature, Animals)
“Respect is one of the greatest expressions of love.”

PART II (SCRAP BOOK)


(60 MARKS)
Conduct a campaign where you will be educating people of your society on the
following agenda: (Do these activities under the parent’s guidance)

Q1. RESPECT FOR TREES: Visit a local arborist or environmental educator and discuss
tree care and maintenance. Students can learn about proper tree and maintenance and tree
planting techniques, pruning practices. And the role of trees in mitigating climate change.
Q2. RESPECT FOR ANIMALS: Visit a local veterinarian, animal shelter worker or
wildlife rehabilitator and discuss about animal welfare and the importance of treating
animals with respect and compassion. (Paste the picture of street animals while showing
kindness to them.)
Q3. RESPECT FOR SOCIETY: Create an art work that illustrates what respect looks like
to them, this could include drawings, collages, or poster depicting scenes of cooperation
inclusion, and empathy. (Take a session on awareness about wastage of food, water,
plants.)
Q4. RESPECT FOR PARENTS: Prepare at least one dish (it can be fireless cooking also)
for one week for your parents and serve them with love and care. Paste the picture for the
same and write the experience and yours views.
Q5: RESPECT FOR BOOKS: Donate book/books for needy people. Write your experience
showing respect towards books. Click the photos of your well organised book shelf. ( Stick
pictures related to it.)
Q6: RESPECT FOR GRANDPARENTS: Take your grandparents to their favourite place.
Spend time with them and write your experience by pasting the photos with grandparents.
