    RECRUITERS MISSION: To find and recruit for a growing multi-discipline engineering firm a New Jersey Professional Engineer (P.E.) with strong electrical engineering experience to maintain Innovative Engineerings current growing client base and aid in expanding the existing MEP department. THE COMPANY: INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING, INC. (IEI) is a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm that provides a broad range of services to public and private clients. Our corporate headquarters is conveniently located in Wall Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey and we also have a location in Midland Park, Bergen County, New Jersey. In addition, we have satellite locations in South Carolina, New York City, Pittsburgh and Denver. These locations have allowed the firm to respond to our clients needs in a timely and efficient manner for the past 30 years. Innovative provides high quality engineering services to municipalities, educational facilities, state and federal government agencies, property owners, solar/wind companies, real estate development professionals, national telecommunication/communication companies, architectural firms, housing developers, retail companies, and power/utility companies. Our diverse staff of 50 professionals, with over 10 Professional Engineers (PEs), licensed in over 20 states, has a longstanding, proven record of accomplishment and producing results in a cost-effective manner that maximizes our clients engineering investment. THE POSITION: The Electrical Engineer would be responsible for the day to day operations of specific electrical engineering projects. The position has excellent growth potential and upward mobility; with an ability to earn a great income based on performance for the highly motivated leader.

    DAILY ACTIVITIES: Engineering and design of multi-story residential, commercial building, public sector projects; telecommunications facilities, lighting retrofits, photovoltaic systems, renewable energy projects, and utility/power company projects. Preparing and checking all electrical design work. Utilization of electrical engineering best practices, codes, and participating in continuing education. Developing further knowledge of all electrical engineering applications Presentations to potential new clients and continued marketing and business development. Demonstrating success with project and subcontractor management. Developing contacts and relationships within the industry, with the ability to cultivate those relationships for business purposes. Site visits and client interaction on a daily and weekly basis may be required; most of our clients are in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Demonstrating high skilled usage of AutoCAD for both designing and drafting. Showing strong communication skills and management capabilities The individual we are seeking should also show an aptitude for understanding electrical systems and ultimately be able to develop a deep understanding of these systems and how they interact with the electrical design process. The individual we are seeking should also show an aptitude for understanding energy conservation measures and be able to develop a deep understanding of alternate energy and co-generation systems. Working knowledge of the basic office productivity software (Word, Excel, Power Point).

    TIME ALLOCATION: 70% will be in office electrical engineering and design 20% will be dedicated to project management 10% will be meetings and presentations, mostly New Jersey, yet the firm is licensed in 25+ states REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering 10+ years engineering experience 5+ years MEP experience P.E. License is required and would be expected for continued growth within the organization AutoCAD skills and the ability to teach/mentor the program Not required, but would be nice to have CEM, CEA, or LEED Certifications COMPENSATION: Salary commensurate with experience and a strong plan will be structured for the desired candidate; this individual will also be eligible for full benefits and profit sharing.
