MONDAY
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of polygons, circles, and solid figures.
B. Performance Standards The learner is able to construct and describe polygons, circles, and solid figures.
C. Learning Comptencies The learner makes models of different solid figures: cube, prism, pyramid, cylinder,
cone, and sphere using plane figures.
II. CONTENT

3. Textbook Pages
4. Additional Materials from DepEd. (2020). Visualizing, Describing and Making Models of Different Solid
Learning Resources (LR) Figures. Mathematics 5 Module Quarter 3 Week 5.

B. Other Learning Resources PPT, flashcards, traditional visual aids, worksheet, graphic organizer
IV. PROCEDURES
A. Review previous lesson or presenting The students answer the game called 4 PICS 1 WORD by completing the word
the new lesson using the photos and jumbled letters presented.
B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson The students will match the figures in the column A with the names of the figures
on the column B.
C. Presenting examples/instances of the Teffy wants to donate her old stuff including clothes, toys, and books to an
new lesson orphanage. All of her old stuff could fit in 4 boxes but she doesn’t have one. In
order for Teffy to help those who are in need, she also needs help in creating boxes.
Do you have an idea how create a solid figure out of a plane figure like the one in
the photo below?
Triangular prism
E. Discussing new concepts and practicing Parts of a Solid Figure
new skills #2
The teacher will discuss how to create the models of prism solid figures.
F. Developing mastery The students will name the parts of the given solid figures.
G. Finding practical applications of The class will be group into 4 and each group are tasked to create a model of a solid
concepts and skills in daily living figure out of a plane figure.
H. Making generalizations and The students will complete the graph with the whole class in order to summaraize
abstractions about the lesson today’s discussion.
I. Evaluating learning Directions: Observe the given 3D shapes and choose the correct letter of a plane
figure that would make a solid future.
J. Additional activities for application or Directions: Draw real life examples of the 3 types of prisms on a one whole sheet
remediation of paper. Creativity is encouraged.
