READING. Read this text about Peter and circle T for true or F for false. 4 x 0.25 = 1 mark

It was very cold and dark when I got up today. It was only five o’clock. I don’t usually get up this early, but today
is a special day: I’m going to buy a new phone, so I’m really excited.
My name is Peter and I live with my parents in a small but comfortable house in the town, with a small garden
and a treehouse. My father works in a factory and my mother in a shop. They don’t have a lot of money, but we
are all very happy.
Yesterday was a bad day for me. I dropped my new phone and now it’s broken. I used it to take beautiful
photographs. But yesterday evening everything changed. My mum answered the phone at about seven o’clock.
She usually smiles when she answers the phone, but yesterday she looked very worried. ‘Who was it?’ I asked.
She looked at me, smiled and then she laughed and laughed and danced around the room. And then she said, ‘A
magazine wants to use your photo of the Big Ben. They are paying you £250 for it!’
Fantastic! Now I can buy a new phone!
