Our Reference : SM 24 May 2021
will be a dilution water passage, adjacent to it, and
oriented towards the inside of the header.

The hydraulics so designed, will allow a gentle mixing of

the dilution water, at a reduced pressure differential
between stock header and dilution water header with
respect to the actual operation. In this way, maximum
dilution water flow rates of up to 30% will be made
possible.

Dilution capacity: 3800 lt/min

Maximum flow rate per valve of: 100 l/min

Depending on the quality of control by QCS and on the

C.1 UNITS
The physical units used throughout this Technical Specification are
the most common units used in the Pulp and Paper Industry, rather
than ISO units, which could sometimes generate some
misinterpretation of important parameter values. However,
recognizing the need for a more strict and scientifically accurate
usage of physical characteristics, some parameters have been
expressed in ISO unit, wherever their notation has already gained
extensive use, with the aim to slowly converting all practical units into
ISO notation, as the latter becomes familiar to the Trade. In particular
the following main units have been used :

Item Used ISO

Paper machine speeds m/min m/s
Paper machine production rates t/day kg/s
Lengths, widths, diameters mm m
Linear loads, nip loads kN/m kN/m
Pressures kg/cm2 Pa
Electric energy kWh J

C.3 SHOP ERECTION

C.3.1 GENERAL

The standard extent of shop pre-assembly is summarily described

here below. A complete shop pre-erection can be performed, as
requested by the Purchaser, at an extra price separately quoted as
an option, and with a reasonable extension on the delivery delay.

C.3.2 HEADBOX

header. All headbox components will therefore be fitted together and
doweled as the case May require. The headbox will be shipped as
one single piece, with the exclusion of the header, which will be
detached by the headbox for ease of transportation. All critical parts,
such the nozzle lips, will be protected in order to avoid damages
during handling and transportation. Proper handling instructions will
be given.
