    (a) Explain the functions of a Robot.
    (b) What is role of sensors in the automation industry? Explain.

    Differentiate between tactile and non-tactile sensors and give two examples of each.
    (c) Explain the Cartesian space trajectories of robot.

    Explain the different types of gripper used in robots.

    Q2 (7.5+7.5= 15)
    (a) Classify the industrial robots with suitable examples.

    (b) What is DH presentation in robotics? Explain the procedure for obtaining the DH parameters.

    Q3 (10+5= 15)
    (a) Find the forward and inverse kinematics of 3-DOFs (three degrees of freedom) robotic arm as
    shown in Figure 1.
