IN EXCEL
01) PROTECTION TO OPEN THE FILE :
When you save a new file you get the option "TOOL" left side of to
save button, In that "TOOL" Button click on "GENERAL OPTIONS".

Put password in option "PASSWORD TO OPEN" & Now whenever you


will open this file again it ask for password.

02) PROTECTION TO MODIFY THE FILE :
When you save a new file you get the option "TOOL" left side of to

Put password in option "PASSWORD TO MODIFY" & Now whenever


you will open this file again it ask for password.

03) PROTECTION TO WORKBOOK IN FILE :
By using this protection , User can not Rename/ Hide/ Unhide/ Delete
or Add new worksheet.
To apply this protection go to Review Tab >> Protect workbook & Put
password.

04) PROTECTION TO ENTIRE WORKSHEET :
By using this protection , User can not change any cell value in the
worksheet where this protection is applied.
To apply this protection go to Review Tab >> Protect sheet & Put
password.
We can select options from below list , which we want to allow for user.

05) PROTECTION TO DESIRED RANGES OF WORKSHEET :
By using this protection we can lock specific cells/ranges which we do not
allow user to change.
Select all cells by ctrl + A >>Right click >> Format cells >> Protection >>
Deselect Locked.
Select cells which we want to lock >>Right click >> Format cells >>
Protection >> Select Locked & Then apply "04th Protection".

06) PROTECTION TO VBA PROJECT :
By using this protection we can lock the code which we have used in our
VBA Project.
To apply this protection go to Developer tab >> Visual basic >> select
project >>VBAProject Properties >> Protection >> check Lock projectio
for viewing & Put Password.
