Credit allocation
Full credit for below-ground cable pathways to the building with space
available for 1 additional service provider where there are 2 or less service
providers currently connected to the building. One of the cable pathways
must be shareable, to facilitate future access by a new service provider.

Size and type of below-ground cable pathway must be within industry


norms for the market.

A4- Points of entry diversity Credits

Provide multiple telecommunications points of entry (POEs) at different Auditor Notes

In order to be considered a POE, telecommunications cable access to the
site must come through a below-ground dedicated telecommunications
cable route.
POE must be separated by at least 7m (20 ft) to enable diversity of
connection.

Diverse points of entry are becoming more important in residential buildings,


with more people working from home and expecting resilient internet
connectivity. Providing two separate points of entry removes a single point
of failure for the incoming cables.

Innovation benefits may include, but are not limited to service Auditor Notes
enhancements that connectivity or technology enhancements can deliver None
to residents.

To be considered for innovation credits, the benefit must be unusual and


more than just an off the shelf app, with no special features.

NOTE: Innovation credits are additional to the 100 credits available through
the certification process. However, no site can score more than 100 credits
including those awarded from this question.
Credit allocation
Up to 5 innovation credits will be awarded via submission of an Innovation
Credits application form from the developer or landlord.
