How to run reset the Image database on Linux? : Informative : Perform

resetImageDB_Linux.
Question

How to run reset the Image database on Linux?

Answer

Perform ResetImageDB_Linux.
It is the service persons’ responsibility to use the appropriate system documentation to effect
repairs and prove the service action had the desired or intended effect, with no adverse effects.
Attention:After resetImageDB is ran the Perfusion option will no longer work. The Perfusion option
will have to be removed then reloaded to get it working again.

Refer to PSDB Document Install Software Options - Remove and Re-Install 201027.
Reference the appropriate service manual to your product, which can be found listed in the “Product
Details” Doc for your product as a related document called Productdocumentlinks as an attachment called
"ProductDocumentLinks."

How do you know if a site has the Perfusion option?

Open a telnet window or Shell and type:swokinstall -p
Examine the list of options. The Perfusion option is known by various names such as; CTPerfusion3Neuro
or CTPerfusion4Neuro. There are other names too.
Why is this happening?
The Perfusion option is part of the Image Database. Running a reset of the database destroys the option
database.

This is a DESTRUCTIVE database reset. All exams and images on the system hard drive will be deleted
when this is run. Be absolutely certain the patient data has been archived and if necessary filmed and
networked.
For 07MW and above software refer to the Host Computer Lower Level FRU Replacement or Linux
Software Procedures section of the product service manual for your product, which can be found on the
Distributed Technical CDROM/DVD, or online.
The Class A document for Brightspeed Select is5181178-800. This procedure is in all service
manuals.

On 06MW, you will notice that the df commandwill no longer show the image_pool directories. This is a
byproduct of running this command. This will not effect system operation. See below on how to avoid this
on 06MW.
