Performance Standards:
Make a creative representation of the historical development of the atom or the chemical element
in a timeline.
Guidelines:
1. This activity is an individual task and is open to all grade 12 TVL-HE and TVL-EIM strands. The
student will be asked to create an infographic about one of the elements from the periodic table
of elements. The said infographic must contain the following information:
• basic information of an element such as the name, symbol, atomic number, atomic weight,
electrons per shell, period, group, family
• brief historical background and development of the given element
• uses and importance of the given element
• other cool facts about the element
2. The infographic must be computerized. Digital arts and the use of different editing software can
be integrated into the output. The orientation should be portrait and must be printed on 8.5 x 11
inches cardboard. The output should be covered using a plastic cover or the output can be
laminated.
3. The following criteria will be used to evaluate the creative output of students:
• Accuracy of Content

• Organization of Ideas
