backgrounds, positions, and football eras, exploring aspects such as their early careers, playing
styles, notable achievements, and the overall influence they have had on the international

Football, also referred to as soccer in certain areas, is recognized as the most cherished
and extensively participated sport globally. This introduction explores the extensive history of
football, examining its beginnings, significant events, and the significant influence it has exerted

Football's origins can be linked to ancient societies, where diverse ball games, including
those featuring kicking or carrying balls, were played. The ancient Chinese, Greeks, and

Tahnai Annis is qualified to participate in the Philippines women's national football team
because of her mother, Myla, who’s from Lucena.
She became a member of the national team during a training camp in the United States in
January 2018. Later, she was selected to represent the Philippines in the 2018 AFC
Women's Asian Cup in Jordan and was appointed as the team captain.
Annis scored her first goal for the Philippines during their 2–1 victory over Nepal in the
September 2021 qualifiers for the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup.
