Put a line through forgotten memories and write “Diary” next to those stored in a Diary (max 4)
1. Memory #1
i. I am Reizei Nagitoki of Kawamura, son of Rokube and Teruko. I have been called a
gentle soul and would prefer to study those that came before than the path of the
blade, yet I do not neglect my duties to my family.
ii. After my transformation, I lie to my parents that the events at Ayanokouji manor
have changed me, I tell them that I must join a monastic order to overcome this. I
find salvation at the Temple of the Eternal Serpent.
iii. The magistrates of Kyoto storm the Temple, I flee under the alias “Hebi” with the aid
of an old Merchant, Tsurigo.
2. Memory #2
i. I watch and listen as my mother convinces Lord Ayanokouji to consider a new
business venture with our family; I am astounded by the guile my mother shows in
this moment, a face of hers I’d not seen till this day.
ii. In the madness and pain that Kanako left me in, I stumble around lord Ayanokouji’s
manor. I come across him enjoying sake while gazing at the moon: I remember the
warm joy as I tore his head from his body and supped on the blood in the moonlight.
3. Memory #3
i. While we were still young and my parents allowed me to play with the town
children, Erika gifts me a lovely teacup; We both awkwardly fumble our words and I
feel my heart race.
ii. As I ran through the streets of Kyoto, desperately fleeing the Ayanokouji manor, a
young girls’ hand pulls me to the side. Erika looks at me, shocked and asks if she can
help, it’s too much; I sink my fangs into her neck and my nails turn to claws on her
body. I stop myself through some miracle and flee from the seen, praying Erika
doesn’t die. I would regret those prayers later.
4. Memory #4
i. My father gifts me the blade “Kumaza-giri” and tells me that I’ll grow into such a
bold name; I’d of rather continue to read the scrolls my mother gave me, but his
pride causes me to take my blade studies more seriously.
5. Memory #5
i. My wedding night to the intoxicatingly beautiful Kanako, ends in blood as she sinks
fangs into my shoulder and her claw-like nails trace sharp lines down from my eyes.
She leaves the room like a sated tigress and licks blood from her fingers, yet I do not
die.

#2 Horrified at your new nature, you withdraw from society. Where do you hide? How do you feed?
Create a stationary Resource which shelters you.
I flee to The Temple of the Eternal Serpent, hidden in the mountains and live as a monk.
Elderly often journey to the temple as a last act, praying the eternal serpent shall usher
them to the next life. I feed on their remains like a carrion eater, sometimes I talk to them as
the pass away and gain a fresher meal.
#4 You are exposed and flee to a neighbouring region. Lose any stationary Resources. Check a Skill. A
mortal flees with you. What new name do you adopt among these strangers?
Magistrates from Kyoto, discover my secret and storm the Temple, I am forced to flee south
to Osaka. I am only able to escape by haggling my way into a wayward merchant’s caravan.
o Tsurigo, a miserly old man with no love for the nobles of Kyoto.
When asked my name, I simply say Hebi, it’s the least I can do for the monks that sheltered
me.
